《Princess on the Loose [Completed]》Chapter 43

I cried myself to sleep and was woken up by a worried looking Nessa and Ria. Lucas, Jarvis, Eric and Levi was there too and they all had a serious look on their faces.
"Are you okay Claris-I mean Clarianne?" Nessa asked me and soothed my back.
"I'm okay, just a little numb," I said and gave them a fake smile.
"What's wrong?" Ria asked.
"Everything," I muttered and my voice was dry.
"I'm sorry," Levi said and the rest.
"Maybe we can all try to run away and maybe bomb the gate?" Jarvis asked suggestively. I laughed out loud, he seriously need help with his bombing addiction.
"Jarvis, bombing things isn't always the solution," Lucas piped up and patted Jarvis' back.
"I'm all up for it. How about you Ria? Wanna hold hands while we run away from it in slow motion?" Eric winked at Ria. He should be called the god of flirt.
"No thanks. I'll rather run with a cyclop." Ria rolled her eyes.
"No it's alright," I said once I stopped laughing and I waved a hand at them. "I trust all of you so please watch the video of my dad."
I let them watch it but couldn't watch it with them so I went to the bathroom. I was afraid if I see my dad again, I'd break down one more time and my body's already too exhausted for that. It was a depressing past for both of us. Something we had no control of and I don't blame him. All the blame should go to Queen Elizabeth and her husband. They've killed people, made people feel so much guilt they want to die, made people very sad for their loss, and had broken many hearts.
They're monsters.
I clenched my fists and looked at the mirror. A furious looking girl looked back at me. I was ready, ready for my sweet revenge.
I went outside and Nessa and Ria immediately ran to me. Nessa was crying so loudly, Ria had to give her a big amount of tissue to cover her mouth.
I sat on the bed and Jarvis immediately sat beside me and laid his head on my shoulder. "That was sad."

I patted him on the head as I smiled. This guy is really growing on me.
"So what's the plan?" Lucas asked as he held the crying Nessa.
"I don't know yet. I think I'll go tell Carlos abou--"
"No you shouldn't," Levi stopped me. "I've been seeing him a lot with Queen Elizabeth and they looked like they've been scheming something big."
"What? I hate traitors" Eric looked annoyed.
"That bastard." Ria gritted her teeth.
I was brought again to my impending doom. Carlos, were you by her side all this time?
Once again it felt like someone tore my heart in half. I told him so many things, so many secrets, and stuff about my dad. Did he turn him in?
I paled and it felt like someone froze me. "Hey Queen, don't worry we'll detonate his office with him in it. So he won't be a problem anymore," Jarvis said making me smile.
That's right, to hell with that traitor. I have fucking awesome friends with me. Friends I could trust.
Out of a sudden there was a loud siren and I heard loud banging of metal. It was as if the whole academy was being closed or something.
"Lockdown," Levi whispered, his eyes as wide as saucers.
"Shit we're on lockdown. Why?" Eric asked looking a bit scared.
"Attention everyone. Please proceed to the dining hall. We have a grave announcement to make," a voice announced through the speakers.
"What's lockdown for?" I asked.
"It's for safety precautions. It means we're being threathened or our location has been discovered," Levi explained.
"And we can never go outside anymore umless we tear up those thick metal walls." Ria gazed at the big metal walls going up one by one.
"Are w-we going t-to be okay?" Nessa asked as she sniffed.
"Let's find out," I said and we proceeded our way to the dining hall. Jarvis had gone before us, being the enthusiast he was and lost him in the crowd.
Everyone looked nervous including the other students of the academy. I was too.
Dread drained blood out of me when I saw who were in the dining hall: Calos, Queen Elizabeth, and Gavier being held up by two men. He looked unwell.

"Gavier!" I cried as I went to him but two of the bodyguards stopped me.
"You finally graced us with your presence Princess Clarianne," the queen mocked.
"What the fuck do you want? You've caused enough havoc to my family, don't include my friends on this." I seethed at her. All around me everyone was being held up by bodyguards.
"Hmm. . .I do want everything and not only from your family but from the rest of you." She smirked like an evil witch.
"W-what do you mean?" I asked, horrified.
"Now we're talking. I'm talking about the ultimate finale, my ultimate plan to conquer the world!" She laughed out loudly. "Have you ever wondered why nobody can know where this academy is? Not even your parents know where the location is. It's not about the reporters, nor publicity. It's because it's a cage for you lots!" She laughed harder as she saw our shocked and pale faces.
Gasps filled the air and some people began to cry.
"How about King William? Is he part of this?"
"Oh the king? He was stupid to go with this idea. That man always hated to meet up with the children's parents so he agreed. Right now he's still sleeping. I might have popped too much sleeping pills in his drink, oops. And when he wakes up, his son would be gone to the dungeons and he'll be blackmailed to do all my wishes. . .just like the rest of your parents."
"You mean your going to blackmail our parents to give you what you want while you keep us as hostages?" Ria spoke up. She looked like she wanted to claw the queen's face up.
"Correct, smart one. And finally. . .finally I'll be the most powerful person in the world. Poor Edward, he won't be able to see me finally achieve our dream."
This time it was Anastasia. "Mom please stop doing this. It's a crime! Mom please stop!" She held her mother's arm and she was crying.
The evil queen slapped her face hard, so hard Anastasia dropped to the ground. Her cheek bled from the scratch made by the queen's ring. "Hush my insolent child! I have no more use of you. Now go to your room and wash your filthy face!"
Anastasia sobbed as she quickly stood up and fled from the room.
"You know that you'll only see it all happen in your dreams right. . .You filthy woman," Gavier said as he smirked weakly.
What happened to him? Was he drugged?
"Oh handsome one, I've always liked your brooding and mischievous looks." The queen trailed a finger on Gavier's face and he flinched.
I felt myself bursting from rage. She shouldn't touch him! That filthy whore! Gavier's mine!
"Stop it you bitch! It may look like you're winning now but we're going to get out of this and you'll recieve your own damn karma!" I shouted at her and she snapped her head towards me.
"And finally we go to the prime cause on why I have to act upon this sooner. I was about to wait for a few more years to get more princesses and princes but you had to show up and ruin everything. This Sunday will be your coronation but none of you will show up and thus I'll announce my blackmail and they will bow down to my wishes!"
There were protests, shouts, screams, and struggles all around. I struggled with mine but all of the bodyguards looked extra stronger.
"Put them in their little rooms where they will spend for the rest of their lives!" The queen roared through the noise.
"Carlos! Carlos! Why are you doing this! I thought you're my advisor. You're supposed to take care of all these students! You're supposed to take care of me!!" I cried through my tears.
He only glanced back at me with cold eyes and an easy smirk.
My heart lurched at the sight and once again I was haunted by the hurt of being betrayed.

War of Seasons
Dorothea Atlin is the young, apathetic leader of the neutral territory of Sirpo, a chilly land hovering above the continuously warring factions of Sacer and Ghuria, whose devastating magics have ravaged their people and lands time and time again. Following a shocking attack and a cruel deception, Dorothea grows her conscience and takes up arms, using her self-destructive ability to manipulate the flow of time to ensure Sacer’s victory. Her growing understanding of war and the two factions is guided by Iree Nobelis, the determined and enthralling commander of Sacer’s forces, Ariana Kingfisher, a steely swordswoman of mixed Ghurian and Sacerian descent, and Rhys Tamlin, a kind but haunted soldier who goes to challenge Dorothea’s self-imposed celibacy and join her on a mutual journey of healing from the tragic legacies of the Atlin family and wars between the nations. Meanwhile, Dorothea’s only friend and deserter from the Sacerian military, Shark Olyen, returns to their homeland to face the family that disowned them and finds more than they bargained for in meeting Cerid Creed, a noble whose duty to his people clashes with his desires in romance and in life, much like Shark’s did long before. As their developing or preexisting loves and differing convictions on how to achieve peace create rifts between these major players, Dorothea experiences a personal revolution that leads her to fight for what she believes is right, no matter the cost. A slow-burn story that takes time setting up the psychology and motivations of characters for explosive payoff later down the line.
