《Princess on the Loose [Completed]》Chapter 33

It has been more than a week since I've seen Gavier. I heard he was busy with his princely duties while I was busy with the competition. But now that it's over, in my spare time, I think of him all the time. I miss him.

That afternoon I decided to visit him, just see him, but he doesn't have to see me. I just wanted to know how he was doing. I went to his room but he was not there. His neighbor told me that he was in the sports field, practicing his fencing. He kindly told me how to get there and even offered his company. I refused, if Gavier saw me with him, he'll get the wrong idea and get all jealous and possessive again. I've had enough of his attacks.

"Look who we have here." It was Eric, he was just wearing shorts, sweat glistened all over his good-looking body. He rubbed a towel over his head. "I didn't know you had a pervert inside you."

"Shut up, I'm here to see Gavier."

"I figured. What's your relationship with my best friend anyway? He would tell me things about you but he was never clear" He stepped closer, smirking.

"We're umm." What is our relationship? "We're very good friends."

"Friends with benefits? That's new."

"No moron, just really good friends," I snapped, I was full of the accusations about Gavier hooking up with me.

"Okay." He raised his hands up."Just asking babe, no need to be all defensive."

I sighed, "Where is he?"

"Just go straight ahead and you'll see the fencing field. He's there," he finally answered. I muttered a small thank you then he made a move to hug me but I jumped away.

"You're all sweaty and gross!"

"Haha, that's why I wanted to hug you."

I rolled my eyes before running away. An open field came to view and there were a few people wearing helmets and gears. Right in the middle of it were two men in a fierce combat. They were fast, so fast I couldn't see where the swords were coming at, I could only hear the loud clanging and the deep breaths of the fighters.

It was cool and amazing. One of them strutted forward and thrust the sword up. The other guy bent back, his head almost touching the ground. He lifted his foot to kick the guy on the stomach who grunted and stumbled back, falling on the ground with a loud thud. The other guy hit his sword away, which flew by a few meters then pointed the tip of his sword to the guy's neck.

Around them, other guys clapped, complementing that it was a good fight.

Both fighters then took off their helmets. The one on the ground was Lucas, while the person who won was non-other than Gavier. They both smirked at each other, while Gavier helped pull Lucas to his feet.

Eric's words suddenly came haunting back at me. What is your relationship with Gavier?

I really wondered. I mean we do care a lot for each other. He kisses me like he owns my lips, he touches me like a valuable vase, he embraces me as if we're lovers, but we haven't really talked about it. Are we doing what normal friends do? I think not.

I hid behind a pillar but as usual it was too late. Gavier saw me, and our eyes locked. Different emotions filled his eyes, longing, joy, lust, love? My eyes watered, a sudden feeling of euphoria shook my body. I miss you. I miss you so much.

Amidst the group of men, he strode towards me, throwing the gears at the side as he took them off. I tried to look away but I couldn't. There were so many things being spoken with our eyes, words we couldn't speak out loud, sentences not dared be told.

I looked down and was about to go and run away because I was too scared. It was too much for me. I was getting too emotional. This isn't me.

I turned but he caught my arm and swiveled me around to face him. He cupped my cheek as a tear fell from my eyes. "I missed you. . .so much," he said huskily, almost as if pained.

I love you.

He kissed me. It was filled with so much emotions and intensity, I cried. And each passing seconds, I admitted those three words, chanting them in my mind. I couldn't deny myself anymore.

I am in love with Gavier.

"Wait, I don't think this is right. We shouldn't be sleeping together in the same bed." I fidgeted around nervously.

It was nighttime and I was exhausted. After Gavier's practice we went to his room and watched action movies. The servants served us dinner and we ate while we watched. Occasionally, Gavier would pull me to him and kiss me, the whole time he was touching me as well. My nerves was about to burst right there.

"Clarissa what dirty things are you thinking right now? Bad, bad girl." Gavier chuckled.

"I'm not thinking of anything."

"So what's the problem? We're just sleeping together."

"But still-"

"And so what if anything happens. You'll be my wife someday anyway." He shrugged nonchalantly.

I stoned at his words, my face red as tomato. I don't think I heard him right. "What?"

"You heard me." He smirked.

"Oh god, did you just propose to me?! How dare you say it so casually? Say it again! With more feelings. Damn it, say it again!" I nagged, pulling his shirt.

"Nope." He lied down, ignoring me and I pouted.

"Come on," I teased him, laughing a little.

He pulled me beside him and wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Gavier--no."

"Shut up or I'll---never mind."

My heart skipped a beat as I glanced at his daring eyes. He smirked then licked my lips, causing me to blush hard. "Sleep Clarissa, you've had a long day."

My body relaxed and I scooted nearer for his warmth. It felt like where I belonged. It felt like I was finally home.
