Ayanna
The party was in full effect.
Audrey was having fun and starting to let loose. We learned that she didn't drink so she stuck to water and cherry coke throughout the night.
"Are you having fun?" I yelled over the music as she cupped her ear, trying to get a better listen.
"Are you having fun?" We leaned in closer towards each other. Audrey quickly nodded her head before leaning back, a beaming smile spread across her face.
"This is the most fun that I've allowed myself to have in a long time," she admitted. "Thanks for inviting me tonight."
Although I had ulterior motives for inviting Audrey out tonight, the sole purpose was initially for us to get to know her better and for her to let loose.
"I'm kind of," she looked down at her fingers, pulling on them as she looked around." I'm kind of interested in the guest of honor."
You don't saaaay.
Pretending like it wasn't completely obvious, I plastered a surprised expression on my face as I grabbed her shoulders, shaking her excitedly.
"Oh my god! You guys would be so fucking cute together."
Audrey nervously hit her bottom lip as she shook her head," I don't know Ayanna. Haze could have any girl that he wants, he would never choose me."
My heart sank at Audrey's thoughts. She said it as if she truly believes that Haze would never reciprocate the same feelings back for her.
And that was far from the truth— Haze was in it deep.
"That is such bullshit Audrey." I say pulling her in for a tight hug. "Haze is not that type of guy at all. Believe me when I say that if you went up to Haze and pressed a fat one on his lips, he would up and die."
"Trust me when I say that you have no competition when it comes to Haze Black." We pulled away from our embrace, Audrey had a look of unconfidence on her beautiful face.
Chewing on my bottom lip, I had come to a conclusion.
What Audrey needed was a full course of Sky's hot girl summer classes— STAT!
Just as I opened my mouth to speak, the sound of Kyler's voice on the microphone grabbed our attention.
"It's time for some dirty jenga!" He sang as we made our way to the living room. Spotting the girls, I grabbed Audrey's arm and headed in that direction.
I frantically looked around the space for Carson, a frown plastered on my face when I couldn't pinpoint him.
"Why so sad?" A pair of arms wrapped around my waist, pulling me into a warm and hard body.
My smile turned upside down as I melted into his body. Carson's strong arms squeezed my waist, my ass pressing against his crotch as I squealed softly.
"I didn't see you," I whispered as he pressed a kiss to my cheek. His warm breath brushed against my cheeks before he pressed his against mine.
"But I saw you. You're kind of hard to miss Ayanna Heart."
I purse my lips to subdue the growing blush growing on my cheeks as he placed another kiss on them.
"Alright love birds," Kyler calls us out."Save it for the bedroom."
I roll my eyes as Carson brings his cup to his lips, the hand that was wrapped around my waist temporarily leaves my body as he flicks him off.
"Love you too, Carson." Kyler blows him an air kiss before turning around. The crowd laughs at the interaction between the two before Kyler continues on with the game.

"Alright, we're switching it up this time," Kyler announces, gaining the crowds full attention now.
"Last time the boys picked the blocks, but this time," he paused for dramatic effect."The ladies will be picking tonight's blocks. Same rules apply—"
"If you don't do what you pull— you drink!" The crowd shouts, taking Kyler by surprise.
"If you pull a block and the game falls over— you drink!"
"Will y'all let us do our job," Marcus interrupts playfully.
"Whoever is the most drunk has to do a dare, given by these lovely women over here." The crowd's attention turns towards us as Marcus gestures to our circle.
"With that being said," he drawls, wiggling his brows."Let's get this game started!"
The first few rounds were minor things— take ten shots, jump into the pool in only your underwear, nothing too extreme.
"Mmm," Kyler scans the crowd and stops on a certain brunette. Jora raised her brows in amusement as he stared her down.
"Jora get your fine ass over here and pull a block."
"At least he knows girls," she muses as she pushes off of the couch and waltzes over the tower confidently.
At least he knows...
Jora ran her ruby red nails over the blocks as she hummed before pulling one out straight from the middle.
"Body shots off of the person of your choice," she reads.
"That's me!" Kyler shouts as he approached her.
Jora cocks her head, a mischievous smile on her lips and a teasing fling in her eyes." Silly rabbit," she whispers as she runs a hand down his torso, pinching the fabric of his shirt between her fingers.
"You haven't done anything to deserve a body shot."
The party-goers erupt into ooh's as I cover my mouth. Carson's body rumbles against mine as he lets out a deep, throaty laugh.
"Damn! That's a violation!" Abel shouts.
Jora places a peck onto Kylers lips, winking at him before she pushes him away. Kyler shakes his head in acceptance, chuckling darkly under his breath as he backs away.
"Just you wait Jora Sanchez, just you fucking wait."
Jora shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly before scanning the crowd. We all waited patiently for her to pick somebody, anybody.
She cocks her head as her eyes land on a dark-haired female.
"You." Jora curls her finger in a come here motion. The stunned girl slowly makes her way out of the crowd and approaches Jora.
"What's your name?" Jora asked as she moved the girl's hair over her shoulder. It was obvious that she was intimidated by Jora as she gulped.
"Marisa," she timidly replies.
Jora nods her head, an amused look plastered on her face as she grabs her hand and walks towards the bar.
"Don't be afraid," Jora purrs lowly." I won't bite."
She motioned for Marisa to get on top of the counter. Sade passed her a shot of tequila, a lime, and the salt.
Marisa lifted her shirt, revealing her tanned skin. She took a deep breath as the liquid dripped out of the shot glass and onto her skin.
Jora sprinkled salt on her exposed cleavage and placed the lemon in between her lips. She then hips on top of the counter, straddles her and hovers her lips over Marisa's skin.
"You ready?"
Marisa nods her head quickly as the crowd begins to chant. Jora winks at her before pressing her lips to Marisa's skin. She pressed a kiss to her stomach before slowly licking up the alcohol from her navel to just above her belly button.

"I think I just lost my girlfriend." Some guy cries into the crowd as we watch Marisa widen her legs slightly as Jora dips into her.
Jora licked up the salt from Marisa's breast, going the extra mile and pressing open mouth kisses to the visible skin on her cleavage.
"Get it Jora!" Sky yelled.
Kyler threw her a sharp glare for cheering her on.
"You wish that was you huh?" Sky teased as she pinched his cheeks. Kyler swatted her hands away from his face as she pestered him.
Shaking my head at the twins, I turn my attention back to Jora to see her full on making out with Marisa— the lime long gone.
Marisa must've forgotten about her alleged boyfriend because she wasn't completely backing down from the kiss either.
"Okay! Okay!" Kyler says into the mic." Next player!"
Jora pulled away from Marisa, her lipstick smudged over her face as she hopped off of the counter. Marisa seems to come back down to earth, her face red as Jora helps her off of the counter before sauntering back over to us.
"Have fun?" Kyler asked as she passed by him.
"Mhmm. If you want to have fun, you better keep it in your fucking pants tonight or so help me God, Kyler ." Jora's face showed no signs of humor— she was dead ass serious.
"Okay." He nods his head before she walks away.
The game continued on.
"Audrey!" Kyler calls out.
Audrey looks a little distraught as she walks forward slowly.
"As this is your first USC party— you have to participate in this USC tradition. Step forward and pull your block, your fate awaits you."
I straightened up hoping that whatever Audrey pulled she would be comfortable doing it.
Haze straightened up as she willingly approached the tower. Sweat started to form above his brow as she pulled out a block and turned it over. A small frown appeared upon her face as her brows furrowed.
I pushed off of Carson's chest, his hand drifted towards my thigh as she read the block.
"Kiss the person of your choice."
Now this might not be a big deal for most people, but this was Audrey.
"You don't have to do it if you don't want to babe." Sade spoke from a few spots away from me.
Audrey shook her head no— a look of determination washing over her features as she placed the block onto the table.
I nibbled on my thumb nail as I exchanged an anxious look with Elizabeth and Rhegan. Sky and Sade stood with proud grins on their faces as Audrey wiped her hands on her thighs.
She turned towards Haze who was practically shitting bricks when she read the block. He stood a little bit taller as she started to walk towards him.
Xander squeezed his shoulder as he cheesed excitedly for his best friend.
As soon as they were in a close distance with each other— Audrey went for it, making the first move.
She wasted no time as she gripped his face and pressed her lips against his. Haze seemed shocked at first, but after a few seconds it wore off and he was on her like a wild starved animal.
I expected the kiss to be sweet and innocent but it seemed as if Haze had other ideas in mind.
"Alright Rookie!" Rocky hollered as Haze slowed the kiss down, being more gentle with our girl .
My hands covered my mouth as I took in the two. I felt like a proud parent as I watched Audrey pull away, her cheeks just as red as her hair.
" Happy Birthday to me," he whispered before Audrey snapped out of the spell she had been in.
"Uh huh."
With that she turned around and turned towards us. She wiped at her bottom lip, a small smile lingering on her lips as I gave her a thumbs up.
"I told you so."
"Shut it."
_____________
After the game the rest of the night was a complete blur.
The last thing that I remember was Haze getting on the mic and telling everyone to get shit faced or leave because it was Haze Day— with the exception of Audrey of course.
Waking up the next morning I had a pounding headache and a sore throat. Turning over, Carson was sprawled all over me naked while I lay in his hoodie and a pair of his boxers.
I rubbed at my eyes, gaining my vision slowly as everything started to clear up.
"Ow!" Carson whined."Don't move too much."
It took us both a few minutes longer than I would like to admit to get out of bed. The smell of breakfast wafted up my nose once I was fully awake and aware of my surroundings.
Carson slid into his jeans from last night before coming over to my side of the bed and cupping my cheeks.
"Good morning Angel," he whispered as I smiled weakly.
"Good morning wonder bread."
His thumbs rubbed the points of my cheekbones before he pulled me off of the bed. We trudged down the stairs to find Audrey in a black zip-up hoodie and some biker shorts.
Her hair was in a cute messy bun as she slid some perfectly golden pancakes onto the stack that was already done.
"Isn't she an angel?" Elizabeth rhetorically asked once we approached the counter.
Like clockwork we were slid the cure to our raging headaches.
"Thanks Sade."
Sade gives me a half-hearted thumbs up before she takes a seat. We all looked like shit— well except for Audrey.
"I don't see how you do it Audrey," Skylar mumbled as she lifted her head. " I think it would take a miracle to stop me from drinking my ass off."
Rhegan snorts," Or a pregnancy."
I had never seen Skylar sober up as fast as she had right now. " Rhegan Emilia Fucking Clarke, you take that shit back right this instant."
"That would be a bae bae child in the making." I snorted so hard that bloody mary mix came out of my nose at Abel's statement.
Kyler let out a howl so loud that it had all of us clutching our heads.
"Kyler shut the fuck up." Skylar threw a butter knife at him.
Jora stood by silently slurping on her bloody mary mix. A fat ass hickey on her neck as she observed us all. I made my way over to her, wrapping my arms around her waist.
"Nice hickey."
Jora chuckled," Marisa does good work doesn't she?"
Oh!
"You hooked up with her last night?" I asked as she shook her head no.
"No, I ended up hooking up with that dumb ass over there," she lets out a sigh as she stirs her bloody mary mix." It's my own fault honestly, whatever happens between the two of us."
"You just can't seem to stay away can you, no matter how badly he burns you." It's quiet as she ponders over my statement.
She chews on her bottom lip, nodding her head slowly.
"I'm not just putting myself through this because of his dick. Kyler is a good guy, he just got caught up in being somebody that he's not. Somewhere inside of him is the guy that I meet freshman year."
Jora was right— Kyler hadn't changed drastically but he still changed .
He just got caught up in this stereotype that he thought he should be in, the playboy star athlete.
That's not Kyler, once upon time he did have a smidge bit more common sense than he does right now.
Just a smidge.
Maybe Jora thought that she could change that.
And who knows— maybe she will change that.
"You guys will figure it out sooner or later, and whatever happens I hope that you are both happy in the end."
It was Jora's turn to sigh as she looked down at her drink, stirring it as she nodded her head," I hope so too."
We sat in silence, watching our friend group bicker and talk over each other before I broke that.
"So Marisa..."
"It was just a hickey and a quick make out, Yaya." Jora laughed as she pushed off of the countertop.
"I was a good girl last night—" she paused, a sly smirk playing in her lips. "For the most part."
Good girl my ass.
"The lies you bitches tell." I mumbled under my breath.
Just as I made my way towards the island, the doorbell rang, catching our attention. Since I was the only one up, I turned on my heels and headed towards the front door.
Swinging it open I met with a girl a little bit shorter than me, she was dressed in a sundress and her long hair flowed down her back.
"Hey," she greeted as she took off her glasses. Her skin looked sun kissed as the morning sun shined down on her. She flashed me a perfect smile, her pearly white teeth on full display.
"I'm looking for Carson."
Just as I was about to answer, I was pushed out of the way. A pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist holding me straight up.
"I got you," Carson mumbled into my neck as we walked back towards the door.
"Carson's not here." Dominic's voice was hard and stern as we hid behind his frame.
"I can see him right there Dom." The girl laughed the obvious lie off as she pointed a finger past him.
"Well Carson doesn't want to talk to you." Abel crossed his arms as he pushed Dominic to the side.
Putting two and two together— I realized that this was his ex.
"Get to stepping Molly," Haze then pushed Abel out of the way." The trash man came yesterday, sadly you missed your ride."
I choked on my laughter as the girls came up behind me. Sade opened the door a little wider revealing the full view of us all.
"I think I'll just come back," she said as she backed away.
That's when Carson pushed me forward, his body close behind mine.
"Don't bother," he spoke up.
Roxy, Rachel, Molly— whatever the fuck her name was stopped in her tracks.
"Car—"
"We have nothing to talk about." Carson was quick to cut her off." Don't come back here again, you're not welcome."
Roxy clutched her bag as she shook her head.
"You could at least hear me out, Carson. I didn't mean for that to happen."
Carson let out a dark chuckle as he stepped from behind me. "That's real rich Roxy. You fucked one of my best friends more than once behind my back, and yet you didn't mean for it to happen."
I stepped closer tugging on his belt loop to calm
him down.
I had only ever seen Carson this angry when it came down to a confrontation with Edwards. And even then he was usually calm and collected.
But right now— he was livid.
"You're so fucking full of shit Roxy. You are dead to me, dead."
Tears poured out of Roxy's eyes as she nodded her quickly, she wiped her cheeks with the back of her palms as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ears.
"I'm so sorry Carson, and I always will be." Her bottom lips trembled as her gaze jumped from Carson to me to everyone standing inside of the house.
"I don't want your apology," Carson spat." I just want you off of this fucking property before I lose my shit with you Roxy."
Without another word, Roxy quickly turned around and made her way towards her shiny black BMW and pulled out of the driveway.
We watched as her car disappeared down the street until it was only a mere memory in our minds.
Carson pulled away from me and marched inside. The group cleared a path for him, not wanting to be in his way as he made his way back to the room.
They looked at me expectantly as I sighed.
"I'll be back."

The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.
