there was a knock on the loft door , tenticve like who ever it was wasn't fully sure they wanted to do it. sitting up from where he was sitting next to his husband magnus snapped his finger, making the door open. on the door stoon a sweaty max who looked like he was talking to some one out of view from both men.
"max. are you okay?" magnus asked getting up
"yeah papa i'm fine. i just...i need to tell you guys something" he said looking any where but his father and pushing his glasses up his nose.
"what ever it is you can come inside and tell us. you know we would never get angry at you" magnus cooed softly.
"a-actually can you come to the door. there is some one i want you to meet" he said looking back out side to who ever it was standing beside him out of view. magnus looked back to alec to find the same confused look on his face mirrored on alec's. alec got up and followed his husband to the door to where their son was softly talking to someone.
"max is something wrong?" alec asked worried since their son was as shy as he was at that age if not even more shyer alec has always been over protective of him.
"everything is fine dad. it couldn't be better. i just...i don't want you and papa to be...ashamed of me or angry....i...i just" max turned even more red trying to explain what he was feeling
"sweet pea tell us what's going on. you know we love you no matter what" magnus trying not to show his own nervousness.
"i....i think i found my mate" max whispered weakly
"you what?" alec asked confused

"just please hear me out" max pleaded seeing his father get angry from the first sentence
"this... this is my mate" max said and tugged softly on his hand which was out of their sight the entire time. and out from behind the door came a seelie which looked twice the age of max.
"papa, dad this is christolph...a seelie of the queen's court" max whispered. magnus seeing how his husband was tense and raging inside and how max looked 5 seconds from passing out stepped forward and took the seelie's hand in a firm hand shacke letting some of his magic zap the seelie who flinched.
"magnus lighwood - bane, high warlock of alicante" magnus introduced him self. the seelie looked as nervous as max turning a sick shade of green.
"a p-pleasure" he stuttered.
"why don't you boys come in. its not polite to keep guests at the door" magnus said and ushered the couple into the leaving area. when he was sure they were out of ear shot he turned to his husband.
"alexander. i need you to control your self okay? don't disapoint max" magnus whispered. alec looked back at him and sighed softly
"i won't" alec forced out magnus kissed his cheeck, grabbed his hand and tugged im into the other room where the couple where waiting. after both were comfortably sitting down infront of the others magnus snapped his finger making refreshment appear infront of them.
"so chrsistolph how did you meet our son?" magnus asked
"h-he came to the seelie relm on a mission and a week later i had to go to the institute on the queen's orderes we ran into eachother and go talking" christolph answered looking at the blushing shadow hunter beside him with adoration.
"how old are you?" alec asked suddenly

"alexander" magnus scolded
"dad" max gasped
"no, its a fair question. i'm 256 years old, but in human years i'm 36" christolph answered
"is our son really your mate?" alec asked sitting at the edge of his sit and glaring at the other
"h-he is" christolph stuttered shrinking back into max's side.
"dad please" max pleaded putting his arm around the other.
"prove it" alec demanded not paying mind to max's pleas or magnus's painful grip on his arm. with shacky hands christolph grabbed max's hand and put it over his chest which a moment later started glowing a warm pink. alec sat up surprised when he demanded the seelie prove it he wasn't actually expecting something like that. he turned to magnus with a questioning look to which magnus only nodded and turned to the younger couple.
"how long have you been together?" magnus asked softly
"t-two y-years" max replied looking at christolph and pulling him closer to himself
"why didn't you tell us? don't you trust us?" magnus asked hurtchristolph ortal, even dad and i was scared you'd think my love life was....irrelevent" max whisperd the last part weakly
"oh sweet pea. we're so sorry" magnus cooed
"we didn't think you would feel that way. we loved you with all out hearts your mortality was never anything that made you anyless of us or our family" alec added
"i actually wanted to speak to you about that. christolph and i want to mate on our three year aniversary" max said
"but doesn't that require...." magnus trailed off
"because he is mortal there is a chance of my seelie blood turning him into one" christolph added
"thats why we wanted to ask....can you make me the potion you made for dad?" max asked magnus. magnus taken back looked from his son to christolph to alec.
"have you thought this through?" alec asked
"i have. my entire family is immortal and now so is my mate i want to be with all of you with out a count down over my head. papa please i need this. i can't grow old seeing all of you stay the same it would drive me mad. and me dying would drive christolph mad....." max begged
"alexander?" magnus asked not knowing what to say
"christolph. if we agree to this you promise he would stay safe as long as you live and he remains a shadow hunter?" alec asked
"i swear it on the life of my queen" christolph replied. alec turned to magnus and nodded. with a snap of his fingers there was a small bottle with blue liquid in his hand.
"on the day of your anniversary and not a day before" magnus warned. max and christolph nodded eggerly before max took the bottle from his hand.
"thank you papa, you too dad. thank you very much" max said hugging both his fathers.
"your welcome sweet pea" magnus whispered. seeing their son so happy made both the happiest they have ever been.

Mycology
Declan was but a teenager when he was invited to Gaia. It wasn't some popular VRMMO like the ones his friend keeps recommending, nor was it a 'game' in the traditional sense. Gaia was the stopgap to Indiri, a living breathing world, the final creation of a dead genius. Invited to this world by Eve, the overseer and an AI light-years greater than any that came before her, Declan was given a choice. To join or not to join? Well, why the hell not? Hello, this is a pretty basic VR story which I started writing out of boredom, don't expect anything too great here, it's a somewhat unique setting but with mostly slice of life comedy shenanigans with no real 'plot' since I can't reliably include stakes in a world where respawning is a thing. I'll try to upload at least once every other week but real life stuff may get in the way occasionally. **WARNING** Protagonist comes with an inbuilt wizard hat. Also, any mentions of chapter titles shall be met with falling rocks TPK. **ACTUAL WARNING** Story may or may not read like the fever dream of an eclectic sasquatch with internet connection. Do be warned, that this story has extremely slow pacing by design. Join the Discord!! https://discord.gg/p2gxqs4 Laugh at my empty Patreon!!

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).
