Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates! I finally got on a writing schedule and hammered out a lot of chapters, which all just need to be edited. So, I'll be able to keep to an updating schedule now. I'll be updating every Friday now :)

I really couldn't get enough of her, seriously. How she thought of the things that came out of her mouth I would never understand.

"I will pull your dick out through your assbone if you don't feed me right now," she said, stalking across the room.

For like the past fifteen minutes, she and Rucker bantered back and forth about the food. It STILL wasn't done, and I was starting to think that he just loved fucking with her.

Instead of the meat having to simmer in the sauce, now, it needed to "settle" before being served.

Rucker held up his spatula, putting a distance between him and the angry Yaz. "I told you, it has to settle for just a few more minutes."

"Rucker," I said, my tone soft as I watched Yaz's eyes darken. "Umm... I think you should just serve the food now."

"Why?" Rucker asked, voice and eyes dancing with dark humor. "This is too—" Before he could finish his statement, Yaz yanked the spatula out of his hand and swirled behind him before spanking him with it. Hard.

"Ouch!" Rucker scooted around the room as Yaz hammered his ass like a wonky jackhammer. "You're so lucky--"

Yaz smacked his ass hard, plastic spatula almost snapping. "How's that ass feelin?" Whack. "Simmering yet?" Whack. "Nah, not yet." Whack. "I think it needs to settle some more." Whack. "Damn, it's still not done yet." Whack.

Sebastian's dying of laughter to my right on the bed, as Khan stared at his computer screen, shoulders shaking. It was a funny sight, seeing this tiny girl spanking this muscular dude on the ass with a plastic spatula.

Yaz whacked Rucker into a corner, him hollering out curses while trying to grab her hand, but she was too quick. The spatula came down one more time, breaking into several pieces when it landed on his hard curve, pieces flickering around the room like a shooting star. That's when she booked it to the stove.

In a matter of twenty seconds, she had a full plate, sides dripping with sweet-salty sauce, and was sitting in her recliner globing it down.

Rucker squinted his eyes at Yaz, his thick hand rubbing his ass. "You're so lucky my ass muscles are like a fucking blood diamond."

"Yeah, yeah," she said, mouth full of food. Her dark eyes shifted back into her head a few times, a few soft moans leaving her wet lips, which made Rucker smirk.

"See?" Rucker said. "Panties wet."

"Please excuse the farts coming out of my mouth," Yaz said between bites. "They might come out stinky because some asshole gave me dry mouth from having to wait three hours for fucking food." She slurped back a noodle. "Is that your game? Make women so exhausted from hunger that once they eat their inhibitions are so low, they just fuck you?"

Rucker lifted his shirt, smacking his hard-defined abs. "I don't need no game. Women flock to this, okay? I got the touch of a god."

"Yeah, the god of starving people maybe," Yaz said, eating a piece of chicken. "I wouldn't be proud of that."

Rucker glared at her before stalking back over to the stove and toppling empty plates with high stacks of food.

Khan and I came up for our plates as Sebastian stayed on the bed, face like stone. I knew that he hadn't eaten in a while, so he must be hungry, but his little rivalry with Rucker got him being so stubborn.

Leveling the plate in my lap on the bed, a flavorful amour tickled my nostrils, my tummy rumbling. I snagged a noodle with my finger and ate it, stifling back my own pleasurable moan.

This was so freaking delicious.

Rucker grinned at me. "Good, eh?"

Khan swallowed several small bites, eyes swirling. "There's so much flavor trapped in every bite, and the sauce..."

Rucker puffed out his chest. "I got skills in the kitchen and in the bedroom."

"That last one can't be proven," Yaz said between bites.

"Wanna go?" he asked.

"Eww no," she said tossing a bean at him, which he caught in his mouth, giving her a toothy smile before sitting on the floor with his own plate.

I shoveled a few bites into my mouth, savoring every moment. My tummy thanked me with every swallow.

Duke gulped down his last piece of chicken and ran over to me, begging for more. I laughed, putting some chicken scraps on the floor.

"You need to eat too," I said, turning to Sebastian.

"I will not eat anything he—" he started with a bad attitude, and I cut him off by shoving food into his mouth.

His eyes glossed over for a moment before he shut it down with a gulp. "Horrib—"

I shoveled more into his mouth, cutting him off again as Rucker's eyes glanced our way, face hardening and eyes darkening. "I wouldn't insult his food," I whispered to Sebastian.

I really think Rucker would punch him in the face for it, especially since he knew Sebastian was talking out his ass.

Sebastian clenched his teeth. "Let him try something."

Sebastian might have heart, but I wasn't sure how he'd measure up against an ex-gangleader with a murderous streak who killed his own brother when he's only an Idaho farmer. But Sebastian's here for a reason, so maybe he has some sort of hidden depth that I haven't seen yet.

"Just eat," I said between bites. "We all need to keep our strength up and minds sharp if we're going to solve this murder. And you can't do that hungry."

He looked at me for a moment and then sighed. "Alright." I piled some more servings onto my plate and got another fork, and we both started eating as Rucker smiled smugly at Sebastian.

We all ate in silence for a few moments, just savory the food before Khan started talking.

"Should we discuss what we got so far?" Khan leaned back in his computer chair, chomping on a piece of edamame.

"That sounds good," I said after swallowing a piece of chicken. "Did anything else happen at the crime scene after we left?"

Yaz burped, hitting her chest before piling more food onto her empty place. "I took pictures of the scene like you said. I got at least a hundred, and I sent them to everyone's contestant account." She sat back down in her chair, chewing on a noodle. "Those two knuckleheads kept arguing with each other," – she motioned to Sebastian and Rucker – "and Gmie and her ex-posse was still fighting as well. Besides that, nothing else really happened."

"Yeah I saw them still fighting," I said, shaking my head. "Nothing new happened between them?"

Yaz rolled her eyes. "Gmie just kept calling Chi a slut, which kept pissing Chi off. Like girl, there are other insults besides slut. Being called a slut doesn't even bother me like hoe, please? God, Gmie needs her ass kicked."

"That'll never happen with her bodyguard skulking nearby." Rucker snorted. "I swear Demo must either be in love with that chick or Gmie has something on her."

"Gmie's manipulative," I said, licking my lips. "It's probably both."

"They didn't even look at the body," Sebastian said before gulping down something. "Aries kept trying to break them up, until he eventually just pulled Chi from the room, kicking and screaming."

"Did you guys find anything in Layla's room?" Yaz slurped up a noodle. "Khan said there wasn't much to find."

"It was mostly destroyed by the fire and extinguisher," Khan said, placing his plate on his legs. "We found some old pictures, textbooks, and a journal."

"I read some of her journal in the bathroom," I said. "But it was just her thoughts, nothing pointed to a murderer."

"Except we did see Fee," Khan said, sharing a look with me.

"When we were walking back to get you guys," I said, "we saw Fee covered in dirt and blood and carrying a black bag. We tried to follow him, but he already disposed of it before we got there."

"That's all the evidence we need," Sebastian said, putting down his fork. "It must be him."

"Calm your saggy tittes, cloud boy," Rucker said, holding up his fork. "If you're basing it just off that, then it wasn't him."

"How do you know?" Sebastian challenged. "Fee wasn't with us when we found Layla and when Jookie made his announcement. Probably getting rid of evidence."

"Jookie didn't make some grand announcement, alerting everyone like normal, so how was Fee supposed to know?" Rucker took another bite of food. "Only reason I was there was because I was in the hall and heard Gmie scream. Just like you and everyone else there. Fee was probably in his room, which is soundproof."

"Does he know now?" I asked. "That Layla's dead?"

"Jookie sent everyone emails when you were in the shower," Yaz said, slurping down some food. "Telling us our deadline and such. So, he should know."

"But what makes you think he didn't do it?" Khan asked Rucker, eyes teetering with curiosity.

Rucker shrugged. "I'm not a hundred percent, but I know he has a farm in his room."

Yaz stopped her fork mid-way to her mouth. "Wah?"

"A farm. You know chickens, goats and all that shit," he said with a shrug. "I saw him request it when we first got here and even saw him setting it up. It's muddy, filthy with hay and shit."

"He has farm animals in his room?" I asked, trying to keep my jaw up.

"Why the hell does he have a farm in his room?" Yaz wrinkled her nose. "It has to be smelly as shit in there."

"Said it reminds him of home," he said, bringing a forkful of noodles to his mouth. "Anyway, it's probably why he was so dirty. Maybe he was cleaning it. And, Fee is a big man. I think if he killed her, it would be bloodier and her body would be more battered, right? He doesn't seem like a pen through the eye type dude."

I never thought of it like that. "He seems like the type that would beat you to a pulp or strangle you, and her body showed no signs of either."

Could Rucker be right? It made sense when I thought about it, but if we crossed him off, we were back to square one — that it could be anyone.

"If we cross Fee out, we have no one else that really sticks out," I said, picking up a piece of chicken. "I read in her journal that Gmie used to bully her, but Gmie bullies everyone."

"She was the first one there," Rucker said, jabbing his fork in the air. "To find the body. Her and Demo."

"Let's say Gmie is the killer," Yaz said, chewing. "How did she get into Betinia's room?"

"I had my key on me," I said. "So, I don't know."

"Unless Gmie did just find her dead already and Layla found her way into your room on her own somehow," Khan said, tapping his chin. "We need to find out Layla's cause of death."

"I was thinking poison," Yaz said. "Yeah, there was a pen through her eye, but why did she vomit? Why was their white shit around her mouth? The pen could've just been there to throw us off."

"I was thinking that too," Khan said before looking at me. "And one of our fellow contestants has a history of poisoning people."

I stopped, trying to think of who he could be talking about but then it struck me.

Chi.
