The atmosphere that the evening Leo came was light and at ease. There were no tears. There was no anxiety. It was just like one big family living under the same roof. It was nice how welcoming everyone was towards Leo and Liam. After Leo came out of Owen's room, he checked on Liam to see him sitting in front of Silas's PlayStation with him. They both were talking about some game. Leo didn't think Liam would bond with Silas the most. It was a pleasant surprise to see the two bonding over video games.

Leo also noticed how Charlie brought her homemade cupcakes for Liam to try. Although Liam is not the boy that enjoys sweets, he is a humble young boy who doesn't say no to nice people. Leo saw as Liam slowly munch on the cupcake. Charlie saw Leo standing y the door, watching Liam with his arms folded over his chest. She walked to him with the plate which now only had two cupcakes left on them. Silas, Elizabeth, and Kathie ate most of them.

Leo watched as Charlie walked toward him. He smiled at her and stood straight. She smiled back at him and offered him a cupcake. Leo look down at the cupcakes before he chuckled and politely declined. Charlie chuckled, "Still don't like sweets?" She asked him. Leo has never been a big fan of sweets. He likes him, but not all the time, and whenever he eats them – he likes them in a small amount. He shrugged, "Old habits die hard," He replied.

Charlie chuckled and put the plate down on the table beside Leo, "So, how did it go with Owen?" She asked. Leo sighed and offered her a small smile, "It went well – better than I expected," a genuine smile curled on his lips as she recalled how welcoming Owen was to Liam.

Charlie nodded her head and looked towards Silas who was complaining about how Liam was cheating while Liam was giggling. Leo saw that too and chuckled. He didn't think he would ever find Silas Harrison amusing. Charlie exhaled, "I guess, out of us all, Liam like Silas the best. How do you feel about that?" She joked. Leo looked at her and chuckled. He will not lie – he has never been fond of Silas Harrison – ever since he broke Maria's heart the first time, he hated him, but he also couldn't deny that after Maria and Silas reconcile – he has been nothing but supportive, loving and caring towards his sister.

Leo shrugged, "He is a fine guy, I guess." He mumbled – making Charlie. She shook her head and playfully slapped his arm, "Cut him some slack – the man is scared of nothing but you. He is a nice person. You are hard on him for no reason," She told him. Leo softly rolled his eyes at her, but he couldn't say she was wrong.

"It isn't like I do it on purpose. He acts mousey in front of me – I don't even do anything to make him act like that," He spoke defensively. Charlie nodded her head, "Yes, but you don't do anything to stop it either. Let him feel welcome around you." Charlie advised him. Leo heaved a sigh and slowly nodded. He can try, but he can't guarantee it. He didn't comment on that.

The two of them were silent as they watched everyone in the game cheering for Liam while Silas cursed at them all – of course, under his breath, as none of them was taking his side and Liam was loving this. Leo was seeing him laugh for the first time in weeks. It was such a beautiful sight to see for him. He sighed and glanced at Charlie standing beside him. She looked different but tired. Her hair was short. Leo remembers seeing her with long hair all his life, it was probably the first time he was seeing her like this. "So, how are things with you? How is married life?" He asked.

It was probably the first in a very long time that Leo was having a proper conversation with Charlie. He has never been a person of words. He doesn't talk much and since he and Charlie had a brief history – not that they dated, but that single kiss they shared, it changed a lot between them. It was ages ago and they both were completely over it, but it still feels weird to him that the girl that he sees as his sister now – once kissed him. He wrinkled his nose at the memory. Because of that and because of Leo's other demons – he hardly ever talks to her. It felt foreign to him to talk to her.

Charlie sighed and glanced at Leo, "Well, married life is fine. Motherhood makes me cry every night," She exhaled. Leo chuckled, "Why is that?" He asked.

Charlie squinted her eyes at him, "When you have kids and they wake you up in the middle of the night for nothing – you will know what I mean," She pointed out. Leo stiffened. He never thought that far. He glanced at Charlie, who was smiling at him. He smashed his lips together – he is going to ask Elizabeth to marry him, but he didn't think about children of their own. All he can picture is being with Elizabeth Liam. The thought that Charlie just put in his mind might have freaked him a little bit. He doesn't believe he could be a good father.

Charlie saw the panic on his face and rolled her eyes, "Stop freaking out, will you?" She chuckled. Leo looked at her and released the breath he was holding. Why was he holding his breath? It is not like they are having kids now – or ever – he doesn't think Elizabeth wants children now either. They both are on the same page and he needs to stop freaking out about what hasn't happened yet. "If you and Elizabeth ever decide to have children, believe me, you will be a great father." She commented.

Leo sniggered, "You don't know about that," He mumbled and lowered his gaze. Charlie smiled, "You don't know about being a bad father either." She shrugged. He lift his gaze and looked at her as she smiled at him. "Just relax, will you? I have known you all my life and even when I find you incredibly uptight, boring, and a bit psychotic – I still think you will be great with children. I have seen you with my children, with Ezra, and of course, with Liam. You are a softy when it comes to children." She told him. "I hope you have a daughter. I am sure you are going to be crazy about her." She commented with a grin.

Leo chuckled and rolled his eyes at her, "Let me first ask her to marry me – we will see about that later," He spoke in the flow – only to realize later that he wasn't supposed to tell this anyone else. His eyes widened as he saw Charlie gasp. Her eyes widened as she covered her mouth. Leo quickly scanned the room to see everyone busy and no one was luckily paying them any attention. He quickly grabbed her wrist and dragged her out of everyone's view.

Charlie was still in shock. She uncovered her mouth, "Oh my God," he whispered before her eyes widened with glint, "OH MY GOD," she whispered excitedly. She laughed and excitedly jumped, "You are going to ask her to marry you!" She spoke – only for Leo to shush her down. She bit her tongue and lowered her voice before she placed her hands on his shoulders, "You are going to ask her to marry you," She jumped excitedly.

Leo rolled his eyes at her playfully – he didn't he will tell anyone else, but now Charlie knew. There was no point in hiding it from her anymore, so he slowly nodded his head, "Yes, fine. I am going to ask her." Charlie opened her mouth but Leo beat her to it, "Don't ask me when because I honestly don't know. I have the ring with me and I told Owen about it. He already had a hunch that I was going to pop the question soon." He told her.

Charlie giggled and couldn't help but embrace Leo in a hug. She was genuinely happy for the two of them. Just the other day she and Marcus were thinking if Leo is going to pop the question soon and Marcus thought they both are enjoying themselves and will not rush into marriage, guess he was wrong. "I am so so so so happy for you, Leo. I can't believe grumpy Leo will get married!" She told him and pulled. Leo pulled his eyebrows together, "When did I get that name?" He pointed out. Charlie scoffed, "Since forever," She replied.

Before Leo could say something – they heard another voice, "What is happening here?" It was Marcus and he didn't sound amused.

Charlie turned around to see her husband standing a few feets away with his hands in his pockets and his deadly eyes set on Leo. Of course, Charlie's proximity to Leo bothered him. Charlie saw him and excitedly jumped, "Leo is going to ask Elizabeth to marry him!!" She told Marcus in excitement.

Leo looked at Charlie in disbelief, "Charlie!" He sharply said. Charlie realized that she told Marcus about something she was in no place to tell. She gaped and bit her tongue, "Shit, I am so sorry." She covered her mouth. "I got excited and I just – damn, I am so sorry, Leo." She quickly look at Marcus and pointed her finger at him, "Marcus, I swear, if you tell anyone – I will kick your ass." She told him sternly.

Marcus rolled his eyes and slowly approached them, "You are the blabbermouth here, not me." He pointed out. Charlie pouted. It is not like he was wrong. It is not like she babbles out other people's secrets to everyone – this was an honest mistake. She got too excited and just couldn't keep the news to herself. She turned to Leo again, "So sorry about that Leo, but we promise. We are not going to tell this to anyone." She told him. Leo pinched the bridge of his nose and nodded his head, "Fine," he sighed.

Marcus walked closer and put his hand around Charlie's shoulder – pulling her closer to him. Charlie knows what he is doing and passed him a dirty glance. Even Leo saw that and found it ridiculous since Marcus now knows that he will be asking his sister to marry him. "Is that true?" Marcus asked Leo. Leo nodded his head and scratched the nape of his neck, "Well, yes. But I don't know when to ask her so, please – until I do – please," He averted his eyes on Charlie. Marcus also looked down at her, "Don't tell this to anyone else," He emphasized with an eyebrow raised.

Charlie looked at Leo before she looked at her husband looking at her either. She sunk her shoulders and slowly nodded, "I will not," She mumbled – it isn't like she did the first time on purpose. But she will careful around others now.

"So, we all have dinner in Owen's room. It has been like this since we all arrived. He loves it when we all are around him." Maria told Leo as the siblings were in the kitchen. Leo smiled and nodded his head. He was helping Maria and Marcus in the kitchen, while Silas and Charlie were looking after the kids and Elizabeth was spending some time with Owen. Leo was waiting for her to come out so, he could talk to her. He didn't get a chance to talk to her at all the entire day. "I will go and take this out," Marcus said as he picked a bowl of salad and took it out of the kitchen.

Just as Marcus left, Elizabeth walked into the kitchen. "Hey, I gave him his medicines." She told Maria as she stood beside Leo. Maria turned around and smiled at her before nodding her head and resuming chopping the vegetables. Elizabeth was acting a bit cold towards Leo. He held her hand in his. She looked at him in the eyes, "Oh, do I know you?" Ske asked sarcastically before freeing her hand from his hold. Leo opened his mouth to speak, but Elizabeth looked away from him and spoke to Maria – who had her back towards them, "Maria, do you need any help?" She asked.

Maria turned around and avert her gaze from her brother to Elizabeth and shook her head. Elizabeth nodded, "Okay," She smiled sweetly at Maria and completely ignored Leo before she walked out of the kitchen. "Babe," Leo tried to stop her, but she didn't listen to him. He heaved a sigh and looked at his sister for help, "What are you looking at me for? Go after her," She nudged him. He offered her a smile before he nodded and quickly went after Elizabeth.

Elizabeth walked to her room and Leo followed her, "Elizabeth, please listen to me. I am so sorry I didn't tell you about Owen before, I –" Leo was walking after Elizabeth and when she got into the room and sharply turned around – only for Leo to almost bump into her. Elizabeth squinted her eyes, "Since you came, you didn't try to talk to me once – not even once, Leo." She complained.

Leo pulled his eyebrows together, "But, you were ignoring me and –" Elizabeth didn't let him complete, "So? You must come after me. Try to talk to me. Suck it up to me," She folded her arms over her chest. Her demand made Leo chuckle – not because they were ridiculous but because she was so cute. Elizabeth glared at him and he put a halt on those chuckles and nodded his head, "I agree," He nodded. "I am so sorry. I should have come to you first thing when I arrived and I should have begged for your forgiveness as well." He mumbled and wrapped his arms around her waist – Elizabeth didn't push him away this time.

Elizabeth heaved a sigh, "I wish you would have told me about dad before," She mumbled as her eyes glossed. Leo pulled his eyebrows together, "I know, but sweetheart, I couldn't tell you because your dad asked me not to." He replied softly – taking his one hand off her waist and tugging her hair behind her ear. Elizabeth had her gaze lowered on the button of Leo's shirt. She played with it while she nodded her head, "I know. Dad told me that he asked you not to say a word to me." She muttered.

Leo sighed and placed a kiss on her forehead, "I am sorry, baby." He whispered.

Elizabeth couldn't help but let the tears fall, "He is going to leave us, won't he?" She wept in his arms while he pull her closer to him.

He didn't have anything that he could say to make her feel better, so he let her cry on his shoulder while he mumbled, "It is going to be okay," in her ear.
