Marcus was sitting in a hustling bustling coffee shop – it was nine in the morning therefore, the coffee shop was filled with customers. He didn't want to be here but he had to – it was going to be the last time when he will see Elna. He had done what she asked of him. He got her a job. Initially, she had asked him to give her a job at his company but he couldn't take the chance of ruining his and Charlie's relation even more, so he agreed to recommend her to a few other companies – he has done it. Elna was selected for interviews in these companies and this is all Marcus was going to do. If she wants a job – she has to prove her credibility to them – it was her job, not his. Marcus glanced at his wristwatch and clicked his tongue – irritated with Elna – she was late. Marcus wasn't going to waste his time here and get late for his meeting. He had to return home so that he could take Charlie for her checkup – she was supposed to conceive yesterday and now that she was already a day late – she was getting more and more uncomfortable. Marcus didn't tell her that he was going to see Elna today – even for the last time. She was already really upset with him and he doesn't want to make things more complicated between them.

Charlie was on bed rest and she hated it. She thought she would be holding a beautiful baby girl by now but her sweet little girl was taking her time and was making her mother more and more uncomfortable. Charlie sighed as a small smile stretched on her face when she thought about her unborn daughter before her eyes went to Katie – who was sleeping on Charlie and Marcus's bed. Charlie softly ran her fingers through Katie's hair. She couldn't wait for Katie to meet her little sister. Her smile slowly faded as she thought how wonderful and joyous this was supposed to be – only if the threat of losing Marcus wasn't here. Charlie wants to be happy but she couldn't do it. Each time she tries to think positive – Elna's face comes to her mind – making her forget everything good around her.

While Charlie was resting in her room, Maria was downstairs – sitting in the living room with Ezra. Silas did spend the night at Marcus's place but he went home early to get dressed so that he could go to the office. Maria didn't feel good that Silas was living away from Ezra but Charlie needed her. Silas didn't complain but Maria knows that he didn't like it when Maria decided to extend her stay with Marcus and Charlie till they get married – which was in a month. Maria thought that it wouldn't be so difficult but turns out – she needs Silas more than he needs her. Maria didn't realize when Silas became her support system. He has been doing so much for her and Ezra and she only realized after she was away from him. Her disability wasn't helping her either – it was hard for her to take care of Ezra without help. Silas had asked Maria to hire help just to take care of Ezra and she doesn't know why but they thought of another person taking care of her child because she is unable to hurt her more. She looks down at Ezra – who sits on her lap. Maria softly kissed his head and sighed, "Forgive mama for giving her a hundred percent, honey. Mama is trying – she is trying too hard but she is powerless," she spoke softly. Ezra widened his small eyes before he let out a squeal and tried to laugh. Maria chuckled at her son and kissed her head again. He was at such a perfect age – he didn't under a word she said – he doesn't know what is happening around – he is unaware of all the problems and worries of the world. Maria hopes for his son to live such a life forever.

"I know, Mr. Alby – I was there. But believe me – you don't have to worry about anything. I will make sure that everything goes smoothly," Silas talked to his client on his phone while he waited in his car outside a restaurant – he was talking to Mr. Ably while his eyes were fixed on the exit of the restaurant – he has been waiting for the past hour. Mr. Alby sighed, "Alright, Silas – I am counting on you." He said before he hung up the phone. Silas has been very disturbed lately. It wasn't because now he was a father – he never thought of his son to be a distraction – but it was something else. Sometimes he wonders if he is exaggerating but then how many times can it be a coincidence – that he has seen Sean around his place and at the places he often takes Maria to. Sean never interacts with them but he is there – sometimes having dinner in the same restaurant as them. Other times, he saw him around his house. But when he saw him around his new house that has some work going on in it – his doubts were confirmed – there was no doubt left in his mind – Sean was stalking them or worse – he was talking Maria.

Silas has decided to do that same – he had his car parked outside a restaurant where Sean went in an hour ago with a couple of men. He wanted to see where he goes next. He can't let Sean ruin his and Maria's life. Silas's priority was to protect his family from any danger. Sean's feelings for Maria aren't secret to anyone – everyone who knows him knows how much he was into Maria and the thought of him even approaching Maria burns Silas. He can't stand that man and he wasn't going to let him ruin his relationship now. Silas's eyes were fixed on the exit – and after a few minutes, Sean and those men walked out of the restaurant. The three men were talking to each other, they laughed about something before Sean shook hands with the other two men and soon those men left. From the look of it – it seemed like he had a business meeting with the men. Silas's eyes never left Sean as Sean stood outside the restaurant with his one hand in his pocket while in held a phone in his other hand typing something on it before Sean did the unexpected. He lifted his head and looked directly at Silas in the car. He made eye contact with him and smiled – the smile wasn't a pleasant one. That smile teased Silas. Sean knew all this time that Silas was following him. He knew that he was waiting for him outside of the restaurant. Sean was playing a sick game and he was just getting started.

Charlie was lying on her bed when she a slight leak from her vagina – she brought her eyebrows together and slightly moved to see if she peed or if her water was broken and she was confirmed that her water was broken when she felt a gush of water leaving her body with a slight contraction. Her eyes widened – it was time. She was going into labor. With shaky hands, Charlie reached for her phone – thankfully Katie has left the room to play with Ezra. She dialed Marcus's number. It didn't take him long to answer, "Charlie, what happened?" He asked. Charlie hasn't been calling to talking to Marcus much these days so when she called him – he believed that something was wrong. Charlie breathes labored, "My water broke," she told him – her eyes filled with tears as her voice wobbled. Marcus responded immediately, "I will be right there, baby. Don't worry. Just take deep breathes," He advised her. She could tell that Marcus was pacing by the lack of balance in his voice. Charlie doesn't know why – maybe she was nervous about giving birth – but she was feeling so many emotions. Her lower lip wobbled as she called out his name, "Marcus?" she said. "Yes, honey – I am just getting in my car – I will be right there. Don't worry. Where is Maria? Is she with you?" Charlie heard the door being closed off the car from the background. Charlie called out his name again – completely ignoring what he said, "Marcus," she said. Marcus paused, "Yes?" He sounded as if he was out of breath as well – he was panicking. Charlie gulped the lump she felt in her throat, "I love you," she told him. She hasn't said that to him for a long time – ever since she came to know about him helping Elna – she has been so mad at him that she never said it out loud. Marcus didn't respond immediately. He was driving but he was connected with her through Bluetooth. A smile appeared on his face. He sighed – he has been dying to hear those words from her, "I love you too, Charlotte – I love you so much. You have no idea how much you mean to me. Just hold on, Charlie – I am coming." He told her as his eyes glossed – he was going to be a father.

When Maria came to know about Charlie – she rushed to her side and made sure she was comfortable while Marcus arrived. Marcus didn't take long to come but Charlie was feeling the contractions now and slowly they were getting painful. She didn't want Katie to see her like this so, she asked Maria to take her to Silas's place where Elizabeth could babysit Katie while they go to the hospital. Maria went to Silas's penthouse to drop Ezra and Katie to Elizabeth before she went straight to the hospital. Charlie was continuously asking for Maria – she was freaking out and she needed her best friend to be there with her. When Maria reached the hospital – she saw Marcus by Charlie's side – his eyebrows were brought together – the creases on his forehead were screaming worry. Maria sighed – she knows that it must bring bad memories to him. He lost Susan while she gave birth to Katie – he was afraid that it would happen again. Even though the doctors cleared Charlie from all the dangers but still, Marcus couldn't shake the fear off his head.

It didn't take Charlie to go nuts – as the contractions were increasing so was Charlie's sour mood. She was sweating from pain – it was too much. She didn't want to stay in the pain – she turned to the nurse, "Hey, you give me something or I swear –," she tried to threaten the nurse – who looked at Charlie with widened eyes. Marcus's eyes widened as well as he came in between. He looked at the nurse and apologized, "I am so sorry, ma'am – she didn't mean it. She is just panicking and in pain." He told her. Another contraction hit Charlie and it was a big one – she held her swollen stomach and cried, "I didn't – I am sorry!" she sobbed as she gritted her teeth in pain. The nurse smiled and pushed the hair that was sticking to her face, "It is okay, sweetie – his is not the first time a woman in labor said that to me." She chuckled. Marcus was holding Charlie's hand and she was squishing it in her hand. It wasn't painful but she sure had a very firm grip. "It is alright, Charlie – you are going to be okay. Just breathe," He softly asked Charlie. Charlie, who had her hair stick to her face – slowly turned and glared at Marcus while she pressed her lips together and narrowed her eyes. Marcus raised his eyebrow and shrugged, "Or not – totally up to you." He added.

Silas got out of his car – he left his phone in the car that was ringing. It was Maria who was calling him. She wanted him to know that Charlie had gone into labor – she had already told Owen and he was on his way to the hospital but she couldn't get to Silas. Sean stood with his hands in his pockets and with a sly smile on his face saw Silas crossing the road with a deep scowl on his face. Silas paced to the other side of the road to confront Sean. Sean welcomed him with a big grin, "Ah – Mr. Silas Harrison." He said and stretched his hand out for a handshake but Silas didn't shake it. He glanced at his hand before he looked directly into Sean's eyes, "What are you up to, Sean?" He asked him as he narrowed his eyes. Sean chuckled smirked, "Well, I was here on lunch with clients – I am going to work with them –" Silas briefly closed his eyes and took a breath in – he wanted to punch Sean in the face but he decided not to and tried to calm himself down. Silas cut him off, "Don't try to play with me, Sean. I see you around my house. I see what you are trying to do," Silas pointed his finger at Sean.

Sean chuckled and glanced around before he looked at Silas dead in the eyes – the smirk on his face slowly vanished. He narrowed his eyes, "Maria deserves so much better than you," Sean told Silas. Silas tilted his head and sniggered at Sean's reply, "She deserves who? You? My mother's puppet? Did you forget that she bought you? You were her puppet and that's what you always be, Sean." Silas mocked him. Silas noticed how Sean was clenching his jaws – he didn't like what he was hearing but it was true. Sean didn't speak for a while before the smile on his face came back, "I will see you around, Silas." He told Silas and completely ignored what Silas just said. Sean turned around and was walking to his car when he paused and turned around. With a smug smile on his face he asked, "Hey, you and Maria aren't married yet, right?" He asked. Silas curled his hands into a fist and clenched his jaws. Before Silas could react – Sean chuckled, "Well, honestly – it doesn't matter to me." He said to Silas before he turned around and walked away – leaving Silas furious.

In the hospital, it was chaos – Charlie was fully dilated. She was about to give birth. The doctor asked Maria to leave the room while Marcus stayed by her side. "Okay, Charlie – you need to push, okay. On a count of three – you push." The doctor said. The pain was getting unbearable for Charlie – she didn't wait for the doctor to say and started to push. "It is alright – just breath and push – Charlie, you can do it. It is almost over, baby." Marcus tried to encourage Charlie – but it wasn't going to work for her. She looked dead in his eyes, "You – you did this to me." She yelled at Marcus – who stood silent and took all the abuse from her. He knows that it was the pain that was talking. Marcus glanced at the nurse that was standing on the other side of Charlie and was wiping the sweat out her forehead before he looked back at Charlie, "I swear to God Marcus – you are never touching me again! Forget about sex – I will not even let you touch me! You need to shift to another room. You are dead to me!" She yelled as a wave of intense pain hit her and she let out a scream. Everyone in the room ignores what Charlie said and the doctor kept asking her to push, "Push. Come on, Charlie – we see her head – just more time – push," The doctor asked and with a loud groan Charlie did what was she asked – she pushed. "That's it – that's it." The doctor said as they tried to take the baby out and soon her head popped out and then they slowly pulled the baby out – it wasn't long when Charlie heard a loud cry of a baby and she tiredly rested her head on the pillows – her daughter was here.
