《The Guy Named Harrison: Book One》62

She went out with Luke, Cam and his girlfriend, and Greg and his wife Kara. Harrison was going to come as well, but he had to go shoot his newest NFL Shop commercial.
Honestly, Carrie was quite glad to have some space from him. Ever since the birthday card thing, the two of them managed to turn the smallest disagreements into the biggest arguments.
Shannon wasn't here either. So Carrie and Luke said they were together to get the couples discount on drinks and a pizza. There was one time the waitress congratulated the two of them on their engagement.
"Man Harrison's missing out," Luke said as he started on another chicken wing.
"I told him to move his shoot, but he wouldn't. Whatever."
Luke looked at her oddly. "Something going on between you two?"
"You could say that."
"What's going on?"
She shook her head, not wanting anyone else to hear. "I'll tell you later."
He nodded and began on another piece of pizza.

Harrison came home after a long evening of shooting his newest commercial. As he pulled into the garage, he noticed Carrie's car was still gone. She should've been home by now. It was just dinner right?
He headed upstairs and changed out of his black Panthers jersey and jeans he had to wear for the commercial. After changing, he quickly texted Carrie and asked her where she was.
It was 10:40. She left for dinner at 5. What was taking her so long?
❺❾
Harrison waited a half hour for her to reply. She still hadn't. Now he was really getting worried about her. He even tried calling her to no response.
He walked back into the kitchen, grabbed his phone, and his keys. On his way out of the house and into the garage, he unlocked his phone. He and Carrie were now on the same Apple account. That meant using a standard app called 'Find my iPhone,' he could track her phone.

Finally getting it to load, he located her phone. Harrison started his truck and pulled out of the garage. With one hand holding his phone, he drove with the other.

Carrie reached for another handful of popcorn as Luke came back with another beer. "Thanks."
"You ready to tell me about what's going on between you and Harrison?"
She nodded as he sat down on the other side of the couch. "Everything turns into a fight now. Everything. We argue about the simplest things."
"Like what?"
"Like today, I told him I was coming to dinner and he got all pissed off. Then I told him to shoot his commercial another day because he's the professional. They want him for the commercial so they can adjust to his schedule. He didn't want to."
Luke took another sip of beer. "You two need to figure this out. We can't let America's couple break up."
"Is this normal?"
"What do you mean normal?"
"Did you and Shannon ever fight like this? Is it normal for us to be fighting?"
He considered. "Every couple has their fights. But for you and Captain America, this seems like you guys aren't on the same page of your relationship. What's different between you guys?"
Carrie thought back to the birthday card incident. She accused him of cheating. And he fired back something about trust.
"Trust. That's it."
"Okay. You guys aren't on the same level of trust anymore."
"More like he doesn't trust me anymore."
"Why?"
Carrie explained everything. "Yeah, you guys have to talk about this as soon as possible. You need to know you can trust him and he needs to know he can trust you."
❺❾
The app led Harrison to Luke's house. And sure enough her Jeep was in the driveway. He slammed his truck door and ran up the front steps to Luke's house and inside.

Carrie and Luke were sitting on opposite ends of the couch, drinking beer while watching The Force Awakens with popcorn in between themselves.
"You didn't answer my calls Carrie," he said, causing both of them to turn right around. "You had me really worried."
He couldn't even be mad she didn't return any of his calls or texts. Harrison was just glad she was okay.
"I thought something happened to you."
"Well I'm fine."
Luke suddenly stood up. "I'll leave you two to figure things out."
They watched him head upstairs. "Just lock up when you're done."
Carrie now stood in front of him. "We need to talk."
"About what?"
"About us."
Harrison sat beside her on the couch. "Look, I don't like what's been going on between us the last few days. Do you?"
"No," he answered.
"It needs to stop. Both of us have done and said things we both regret these last few days. I want us to be us again. No more of these arguments."
"We need to trust each other fully again."
"Yes we do."
Harrison put a hand on her knee. "These last few days don't mean anything anymore. We're starting on a clean slate and picking up as the Harrison and Carrie we were before."
"I agree." She put her hand out to shake and he playfully slapped it away.
"Really. That's lousy."
Carrie laughed. Harrison leaned over and gently kissed her. "That's more like it."

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds

Blood and Honor (Rewrite)
Fate is such a simple and complicated word. It is also the name of the most popular VRMMORPG. Do what you want, be what you want. Your fate is what you make of it. Their is also wealth and power from Fate Online for those willing to take it and fight for it. For the people fighting from the bottom up, they are willing to do almost anything. Even kill or betray. I learned that the hard way, but when a man losses everything, he can do pretty much anything. Note* I do not own the Pic, I did not create it. The Fate of The Summoned (being ReWritten)
The Fate of The Summoned In the world of Aethion things are vastly different than on Earth. There is Magic and Monsters, as well as Demons and Dragons. Throughout the history of the world there have been many wars, both between all the various nations and kingdoms and between those nations and kingdoms and the Demonic forces lead by a Demon King or Lord. There are times that the Demons gain so much more power than the other nations, or that the others are embroiled in a war against each other and the lone nation is targeted by the demons. It was during these occasions that the various Gods and Goddesses started giving two things to the races. The First of these things were the Blessings, magical blessings given to the worth for chosen things. The Second of these things were the Summoning rituals, magic rituals that could summon beings from somewhere else, that would be Chosen, by the gods. These beings have almost always come from our world, Earth. It has been centuries since this practice began and the countries of the world have almost always flourished for a time after a Chosen or group of them were Summoned. All of the countries treat the Summoned well, almost like kings or princes in their own right. Well, not all countries, there are some that have treated them almost like slaves, though those countries don’t usually last long. There is one though, that has lasted, for a long time due to their connection to their Patron Deity, the Goddess of Light. They only accept certain types of Summoned and they dote on certain members of the country more than others. Several years ago they performed a summoning, as they were being plagued by overflow from the dungeons. Now they, like the other countries of Aethion, have performed the ritual to fight against the current Demon King, who is said to possess a Blessing. This is a story about Fate, and those that fight against it and those who accept it. In this story the main character(s) do not fight their fate, like those in my other story, rather they embrace it and let it shape them, though that does not mean they are total slaves to it. While there will be similarities to most other Hero sumoning novels, i hope the Mcs abilities and such will make it unique.
