Isaac and I were walking with Jade and Beck who were arguing.
"Hey, we're not done talking about this." Jade called after Beck.
"I am." Beck said.
"Well, I'm not." Jade called.
"Listen, Alyssa Vaughn is just a friend." Beck said.
"Yeah, a friend who's already sent you six text messages today." Beck's phone went off. "Seven." Jade said.
"You don't know that's her." Beck said.
"Is it?" Isaac asked. Beck checked his phone.
"What's your favorite tropical fruit?" Beck asked my sister.
"The mango. And I don't like your new little relationship with Alyssa Vaughn." Jade said.
"It's a text message." Beck said.
"And what does it say? Maybe, "hi, beck. "my daddy just got richer "and I got prettier. Let's make out." Jade imitated.
"Okay, let me see if I understand you." Beck started.
"Let's see if you do." Jade said. I walked away to my locker and Dre came around the corner showing me a cool app.
"Let's go show Robbie." Dre said.
"Sure." I said. Dre and I walked into the history classroom.
"Whatcha know, fro?" Dre asked.
"Ha, he called you fro, 'cause your hair is all silly." Rex said.
"Yeah." Robbie said.
"Hey, you gotta check out this new app I got for my phone. It lets you do crazy effects when you're shooting video." Dre explained.
"Cool. Um, so, you know how I used to write for the school newspaper?" Robbie asked as I started filming something on Dre's phone.
"I thought they shut the paper down." Dre said.
"They did, but, uh... Some of the seniors started one online, you know, kinda underground for school news and stuff." Robbie said.
"I know, the slap." Dre said and I nodded.
"The slap dot com." Robbie said.
"The dot com was implied." Dre told him.
"Anyway, so for the slap, I'm the person in charge." Robbie said.
"I made your head fat." I said looking at the phone.
"Say cheese, fathead." Dre said.
"Cheese. Anyway, for the slap, I'm the person in charge of writing reviews for all the plays here at school." Robbie said.

"Yeah?" Dre and I asked slowly.
"Well, I'm so busy." Robbie started,
"You're not busy." Rex said.
"How could you be busy? What are you doing playing bingo at the retirement home?" I asked. Dre laughed.
"And... And you're such good writers, I was thinking, maybe..." Robbie started,
"I'm not writing a review for Trina's show." Dre said.
"I would rather jam my head in a car door." I said.
"But what if her play is awful?" Robbie asked.
"What if? Man, you know her show's gonna bite." Dre said.
"I know. And if I write a bad review, Trina is going to kill me." Robbie said.
"And if I get killed for writing your article Jade, Beck and Isaac are going to kill you." I said.
"Oh, so it's okay if she kills me?" Dre asked.
"She'll have a harder time killing you. You're all firm and developed, and I'm still working on the last chapter of puberty." Robbie said.
"And he is a slow reader." Rex said.
"I thought Trina's play opens Friday." I said.
"It does, but I'm seeing her last dress rehearsal, and I don't wanna be the only one in the audience." Robbie said.
"So take Rex." Dre said.
"I'm staying home and taking a hot bath." Rex said.
"Look man, don't panic yet. Maybe trina's play won't be so bad." Dre said.
Isaac and I were sat with Jade eating lunch. I was working on a drawing for art class.
Sinjin and a weirdo sat down across from us.
"No." The three of us said. The boys got up and left. Tori and Dre walked over to us.
"Hey." Tori said.
"Hey, Jade, Isaac and M." Dre said.
"You look a little like a lady who could use some lunch buddies." Tori said.
"Are we chopped liver?" Isaac and I asked.
"Please." Jade scoffed.
"Well, I just thought that you were mad, because of..." Tori started.
"I broke up with Beck. Okay? I dumped him." Jade said. A car horn went off and sure enough, it was Beck and Alyssa Vaughn.
"Is that Alyssa Vaughn?" Tori asked excitedly.

"Yeah, so?" Jade asked.
"Nothing, she's gross. French fry?" Tori offered.
"Gross? Look at her. Oh, that girl is smoking hot. I'm serious." Isaac said. Jade, Tori, Andre and I looked at him. I went to punch him.
"Don't hit him." Jade said to me.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because I said so and that's good enough." Jade said.
"Fine." I said going back to eating.
"If beck wants to date that, I hope he has tons of fun with it." Jade said squeezing her burrito.
"Uh." Tori said.
"What?" Jade asked.
"You're hurting your burrito." Tori said. Jade threw her burrito down and went to get another one.
"I'm going to get coffee." Isaac said.
"Get me one." I said.
"Already was planning on it." Isaac said.
I was sat on the couch doing homework watching Jack while he played on his PlayStation that he and Isaac shared.
"I'm hungry" Jack said.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"Tortilla pizza pockets." Jack said.
"Alright come on then." I said. Jack made a ham and cheese pizza pocket and I was cooking it when Jade walked in.
"Hey, are you hungry?" I asked.
"Not for that. I'll make something later." Jade said. "Where's Isaac anyways?"
"Working on a project at someone's house." I said. "As for mom I haven't got a clue." I said putting Jack's pocket on a plate. "Jack your food," I said.
"Jade." Jack said.
"Hi. Bye I'm going upstairs." Jade said walking away.
Dre and I watched Trina wedge Robbie's jumper in his locker door and slam it shut. Then Robbie began to struggle out of the jumper while Dre and I laughed.
"Still got some work to do." Dre said. Robbie pulled the sweater and it ripped. We laughed.
"Aw, my canadian sweater! It's not funny. Trina keeps pressuring me to write a good review of her terrible play, and I can't lie." Robbie said sliding down the wall.
"Her play was that bad?" Dre asked.
"So bad, it was laughable." Robbie said having a fit on the floor.
"Okay, okay. Then, say it was the funniest play you've ever seen." Dre said.
"Oh, what are you talking about?" Robbie asked.
"Review it like a comedy." I said.
"Comedy? That's brilliant." Robbie said.
"Hey, no charge." Dre said.
"Thanks, man." Robbie said.
"No, wait, give me 10 bucks." Dre said.
"Absolutely not." Robbie said.
"20." Dre said.
"Are two 10s okay?" Robbie asked.
"30." I said. Robbie handed me thirty bucks.
"Thanks man." I said.
We were all sat in American History class.
"And then at 10 p.M., when president lincoln was watching the play at ford's theater, booth quietly slipped into lincoln's box, pulled out a derringer and shouted..." Our teacher got cut off by Trina bursting in.
"I'm gonna kill you!" Trina said to Robbie.
"No." Robbie said.
"Man, you better run before the girl..."Rex got cut off by Trina throwing him across the classroom.
"Rex!" Robbie yelled.
"Trina, I'm teaching a class right now." Our teacher said.
"How dare you call my one-woman show a comedy?!" Trina asked.
"I had to follow my conscience!" Robbie said.
"Trina, out of this classroom." Our teacher said. Trina knocked Robbie's desk over.
"I know where you live." Trina threatened.
"No, you don't. We moved last year." Robbie said. Trina grabbed him by the collar of his shirt.
"What's your new address?!" Trina asked.
"3707 Cahuenga. It's a duplex, we're on top." Robbie cried out.
"Got it." Trina grabbed her bag and walked out. Robbie whimpered.
"Rob here's a little hint when you're getting threatened don't give out your address." I said.
Jack, Isaac and I were sat watching a movie on the couch when Jade and Beck walked in holding hands.
"Finally. Single depressed Jade is fucking scary as shit." Isaac said. Jade smacked him in the head.
"Language around Jack." Jade warned. "We're going to my room don't come get me even if one of you are dying." Jade walked downstairs to her room.
"If one of you are dying please come get us." Beck said.

Nowhere Stars
For as long as anyone can remember, humans have been preyed upon by Harbingers, living nightmares which devour dreams and passions and souls, and defended by Keepers. These children alone hold the gift of magic, the wild and wondrous ability to impose emotions over reality and empower their frail bodies with the splendor of their souls. Under their protection, humanity was able to survive and thrive. While modern Keepers have come to enjoy a social position somewhere between celebrities and religious idols, very few accept the mantle simply to be a hero. The Messengers of the Goddess Claiasya, spirits charged with awakening the magic in suitable souls, promise that Keepers who consume and purify enough Harbingers will obtain the power to change themselves or the world in nearly any way they wish. It’s for this purpose that Liadain Shiel, a young girl born terminally ill, throws herself into life as a Keeper when her opportunity comes, hoping against hope to rewrite her fate and save her life while she still can. But magic wants its wielders to grow and change, not simply continue living, and the secrets swimming beneath the sea and behind the sky have lives and designs of their own. Nowhere Stars is an ongoing fantasy-horror web novel about traumacore magical girls, nightmares clothed in ribbons and lace, alienation from reality, and broken children twisting the world into whatever shape they must to make their dreams come true.
