- Paige's POV - Saturday, February 6th -

So, it's been a few weeks and it's a new year, 2021.

Not much has changed lately in our family, Maya's obviously still sick and she's been having it a little rough lately because of the chemotherapy but she's fighting through it the best she can. She's not doing the best today but she has a good mindset this morning.

Maya wanted to play Among Us so she, Oakley, and I are on our laptops with Among Us and Discord up seeing as some of the girls wanted to play, which include Tobin, my love Mal, Rose, Lindsey joined in, Sam, Kelley, and Alex.

Charlie is napping so that's why Kelley and Alex are playing.

"Can you hear everyone in our room okay?" I ask. "Hi!" Maya and Oakley say. "Yes." Everyone says then gives a hello.

"Everyone's in right?" I ask. There's echoes of yep's, so I then start the game after muting the mic.

I watch the screen as it says I think Kelley and I are impostors.

I start heading to the trash lever in cafeteria, which so does Rose so I take that as the chance to make sure no one is around before killing her then venting to admin, in which there's only one person but they're doing a task so I quickly go up and kill them as well.

"Seriously?! Paaaaaiigggggeee." Oakley exaggerates and I laugh as I hop back into the vent but there's a body reported. "Oakley don't rat me out." I say before I unmute and she nods.

"Wow, there's only five of us left?" We all say at the same time causing us to laugh. I see that it's Maya, Tobin, Alex, then me and Kelley. "Anyways, what's up?" Maya says. "I was on cams and watched Kelley kill Mal." Tobin says. "Oh, woooow." I say and everyone laughs. "I didn't kill Mal, you're obviously blind, Tobin." Kelley says. "It was white." She finishes. "And you witnessed white doing this?" Maya asks. "Yeah." She says. "Then why didn't you report? That's sus." Tobin says. "How?!" Kelley says. "Babe, who's playing as white right now?" Alex says. "Oh shit! Me." Kelley says in a defeated tone and we all start laughing. "Vote Kelley off." Maya says. "Daaaamn it." Kelley says as the vote comes in and she's booted off.

Once the game resumes, I follow Alex in to the medbay to watch her do scans and then follow her out where I then make sure I'm off cams and kill her before heading to cams, knowing Tobin will still be there.

Sure enough both she and Maya are there.

"Who should I kill, you or Tobin?" I ask with a laugh. "Tobs." Maya says and I do so, winning the game and unmute my mic.

"Victoryyyyy." I say. "Good job. I actually didn't expect it to be you." Tobin says. "Yeah same." The others say. "I didn't know it was Paige until Oakley died and said 'Paaaaaaaigggge.'" Maya says and we all laugh.

"Well our baby is waking up so we gotta go. Love you all." Kelley and Al say. "Bye guys." We all say.

We then all just decide to get off but that was funny as hell because Kelley contradicted herself.

I shut my laptop after turning it off and set it aside.

I go to stand up but fall to my knees and hands as my body tenses and my sight is blocked by something. My head hurts like hell as something's trying to come across my vision.

I then see a doctor talking to Moms in the hallway, Mom with tears in her eyes and Mama is crying as the doctor weeks with a sad face, and it changes to Maya in her bed looking super fucking weak, like weaker than she's been this whole time and it ends.

I'm so confused. Usually my visions are something from the past, never something that hasn't happened.

"Paige, honey." Mama says worriedly as my sight comes back. I'm sitting on the floor now.

"What the fuck?" I mumble as I look around.

"Are you okay? What just happened?" Mom says. "Yeah, yeah. I... I had a vision." I say. "About?" Mama says. "I don't wanna talk about it." I say. "Okay, bubbles." Mom says and helps me up. I brush myself off before saying I was gonna go outside and get some air, and I end up just walking around the block as my thoughts swirl.

I end up walking to Danielle's place. Covid restrictions have been completely lifted since everyone's had the vaccine and cases have went down to near zero.

(A/N - I wish *smh*)

I text Mom saying I'm at Danielle and Sonnett's.

I ring the doorbell and I find my hands interesting as I wait.

I see the door open.

"Hey, Paige. Come in." Sonnett says. "Thanks." I say and she nods, letting me in.

"Babe, who's at the door?" I hear my sister yell from somewhere. "Paige." Sonnett says loudly. "She's in the kitchen." She tells me and I nod before heading there.

"Hey." She says with a smile when I sit down at their island. "Hey." I say. "What's wrong?" She asks me. "Uhm... I had a vision." I say. "Okay?" She says in a way that tells me to continue. "But it wasn't from my past like usual." I say, making her raise a brow. "It was about the future. I don't know when but I think it's soon." I say. "What happens?" She asks.

"Moms are talking to the doctor and... And they're crying... And Maya's looking rough. Like really, really rough." I say and look down. "Oh, baba." Danielle says and comes around to hug me, which I just let her hold me in her embrace.

We stay like this for a little bit.

"Oh... Uhm I'm not interrupting am I?" Sonnett asks. "No, you're fine." I say as Danielle lets go of me. "You sure?" She asks. "Yes." Both Danielle and I say. "Hey, Paige... Could I talk to you for a minute?" Sonnett asks. "Sure?" I say and she leads me to an office.

"I want to ask you something but if there's something going on I don't wanna make things worse or something." Sonnett says. "Uhm whatever you wanna ask you can ask. I just had to tell Danielle about something." I say. "Are you sure?" She asks and I nod.

"Okay... Uhmmmmm..." She starts nervously. "You know I love Danielle... A lot, like more than anything and you know I'd do anything for her-"

It doesn't take long for me to register what she's trying to ask.

"Yes, Sonny." I say, cutting her off and making her confused. "Yes?" She says. "You have my blessing, Sonnett." I say with a small smile. "Really?" She asks with a smile. "Yes." I say. "Thank you." She says, hugging me. "You're welcome." I say and laugh as she lets go.

"I've already asked your brother so I'm good to go. I just gotta plan when and how." She says. "Okay, Sonnett." I laugh. "Do you have a ring?" I ask and she nods, pulling it from a locked desk drawer and showing it to me.

"Damn, she'll love that." I say. "You think so?" She asks. "Oh yeah. Good job." I say and hand it back to her. "Thanks." She says and I nod but my phone chimes.

Come back to the hospital, now please.

"Shit. I gotta go. Good luck and I love you all." I say. "Yeah, you too." Sonnett says.

I quickly walk out of the office and tell Danielle bye before heading out of their house and sprinting to the hospital.

I walk onto Maya's floor and run to the room to see she's not in there but Moms and Oakley are in there.

"What happened?" I ask, out of breath. "M- Maya's in surgery." Mama says. "For what? She was fine when I left!" I say. "The doctors believe the cancer has spread to he spleen." Mom says calmly. "Fuck." I mumble.

I sit down and stay quiet after that.

After a few hours, Maya's brought back into the room and hooked up to the vitals machine and all again.

Oakley's immediately to her side when she's able to as Mom's are pulled into the hallway with the doctor.

"This... This was my vision." I say to myself.

Oakley and I look at each other before looking towards the hallway when we hear Mom.

"What do you mean she's terminal? She's seemed to have been responding." She says.

I look towards Oakley to see tears form in her eyes again.

"Hey..." I say and she shakes her head as tears form in mine as well. "Oak." I say as she gets up and starts to walk out of the room. She darts down the fucking hall towards the stair wells.

"I've got her." I say to Moms and they nod as they keep talking to the doctor.

"Oak, wait." I say. "No, leave me alone." I hear her say a few levels below me. I jump a few of the levels over the banisters, easily catching up.

"Oakley just come here." I say already starting to be out of breath.

She doesn't answer but I follow her on the main floor and she runs out into the parking lot.

"Fuck." I run to my car when I lose sight of her and quickly start it before driving.

I begin to call Danielle.

"Hey, can you all help me find Oakley? I literally chased her out of the hospital then lost her." I say. "Oh my god. Yes, yes of course." She says. "Alright, thanks." I say and hang up.

I then call Kelley and ask the same of her.

I spot Oak but she darts down an alley and I lose her.

"Damnit." I say.

Eventually Kelley found her at the park near their place so I drove over there.

I find her sitting on the pitch and Kelley and Alex are here making sure she doesn't leave.

"What happened?" Alex asks. "We just found out that Maya's terminal." I say without looking at the two adults. "We're sorry, kiddo." Kelley says and side hugs me while holding Charlie in the other arm.

"I know." I say before heading over to Oakley.

"Oakley, don't do that." I say softly and she looks up before standing up and collapsing into me. "I don't wanna lose her." She cries into me and I hug the fourteen years old tight.

"I know, and I don't either. None of us do." I say as I try to fight back tears.

I look back towards the adults and my goddaughter who are watching us with worry.

I make the shooing motion then a thumbs up.

"You sure?" I see Alex mouth and I nod.

"I don't wanna either, Oak." I say and rub her back as she cries.
