《I'm A Krieger Harris》Chapter Thirty Three

A/N - I made an updated drawing of Alex Morgan, which I still have that pretty bad full body one, but here is the new one, which in my opinion is A LOT better:
The sanding doesn't really show up that well because of my phone but also the paper kind of sucks but it's making due since I need to buy a new sketchbook but I can't at the moment. Anyways, on with the story.
- Paige's POV -
I walk towards the kitchen to find everyone because that's where they usually are, but I guess not so I search everywhere until I result to the basement.
"Hey everybody." I say as I walk into the main part of the basement.
"Hi." The twins say. "Hey kiddo." Moms say.
"Sorry I had detention." I say. "It's okay kiddo, depending on why you had it." Mom says.
I then explain what happened and that I did get the email sent so that's good and I'm not in trouble thankfully.
"Wait the Shana that beat the crap out of you in the parking lot?" Mama asks. "Yeah." I say. "This girl sounds like an ass." Maya says causing me to stifle a laugh as she covers her mouth. "Sorry." She says quickly. "It's okay, just don't cuss anymore until you're a few years older." Mom says. "Okay." Maya says and punches her twin's arm in which Oakley is laughing at her.
"But yes she does sound like on because she is one. But thankfully we're graduating and I hopefully won't have to deal with her again." I say as I sit down next to the twins.

- Saturday, December 12th -
So it's only been like a week, but today I'm signing for the club I'm gonna be playing for. We flew to the location for the weekend, and Mal's here too, so here we are, now at the facility.

I'm currently waiting to enter the media room to sign my contract for my first club and answer some press questions.
"You ready?" The manager asks as she opens the door. "Yes ma'am." I say and she motions for me to head in. I take a deep breath before entering the room and sitting down at the table in front of the few press people since you can't have that many people socially distanced in here.
"Welcome to the signing of Paige Krieger Harris..." I kind of zone out as the manager begins speaking until I'm told I can sign, so I do before standing up to hold the side of my jersey along with the manager.
"Welcome to Manchester United, Paige." Casey Stoney says as we look towards the cameras. "Thank you." I say.
Yep, I'm gonna play for Man United and I'm so excited!
Question time.
"Miss Harris, you aren't able to play until the begining of these season and you cannot train until after you graduate in America, so why sign with a club now? Not meaning to cause offence." A female reporter asks politely. "No offense taken. Why I signed with a club now is because I have been offered a guaranteed protected spot on a roster with only this team, and I thought, 'If I don't take this opportunity now, I may not get an opportunity to a club as great as this one after I do graduate.' So... Yeah." I say. "Thank you." She says and I nod.
"Will you be attending University?" A guy asks me. "No. I have made the better decision which was signing with Manchester United. I believe that me attending University is just not something that would give me any benefits because of the level of knowledge I already have since I've been learning at a university level for the past two and a half years." I say and the guy nods.

"Will your signing with Man United effect your attendance of National Teams camps?" Another media guy asks.
"Well, if there isn't a camp next month, it will be a whole year that I've not been playing with the National team. I mean I can understand why I haven't been, because I haven't been able to show that I am capable of being called up, but I don't think this signing will effect that." I say, and the next person begins to ask me something.
"How will being overseas effect you and your family, as well as your national team family that you grew up around?" A guy asks. "Uhm... I'm not completely sure. I know I'm gonna miss seeing a lot of them physically, especially my moms and siblings, but the rest of my family I'm really not sure about." I say and another reporter bounces off of this.
There's also some American reporters over here, and this one is an asshole.
"Miss Harris, it has been seen that your relationship with Megan Rapinoe has changed in the past year, and you're not together that much during camps anymore, which it seemed you use to be inseparable. Did something happen to effect your relationship?" This catches me off guard and I subtly glance to the ones who came with me in nervousness.
"Uhm... Honestly yes something did happen, which was the cause that our relationship has definitely faded." I say.
"And would you care to explain?" The same guy asks.
"No, because that is personal and private between the two of us, which I am sure she would not like that being released and that would be a very unprofessional and dumb move on my part, which I know better than to not do." I say.
"No it wouldn't." The same guy says.
"I mean this is in the nicest way possible sir, but you are disrespectful in the sense of respecting people's privacy. I will have no further comment on your question because that event stays between me, Megan Rapinoe, and the US Women's National Team." I say calmly, and the dude just keeps his mouth shut.
I then answer a few more questions before everything ends.
I exit the media room with Casey Stone and my family and girlfriend.
Moms immediately hug me.
"We're so proud of you." Mama whispers. "I know." I say as I hug them back, before hugging the twins and finally hugging and sharing a kiss with my girlfriend.
"You dealt with that reporter very well, and that was the right way to do it." Coach tells me. "Thank you." I say.
AHHHHHH I'M A RED DEVIL!

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

8 172Dauntless Star
WWIII has come to pass and 91% of the Earth is left scorched and uninhabitable. From the ashes of WWIII two major powers emerged. The Southern Alliance (SA) and the Northern United Nations (NUN). The SA sought refuge in space devising devices to enhance the body and keep the mind occupied. This novel follows the journey of a young man named Crescent who saw the worst humanity had to offer in The Game and was given a second chance, traveling back in time when humanity first left for the stars. More importantly when The Game first started. Hello Author here just thought I’d say hi. This is the first novel and there will more than likely be a lot of grammar mistakes and slow writing but together we can finish this novel. Any constructive feedback you can give or editing you can do will be very appreciated. So come join in a journey of sci-fi, fantasy, time travel and romance (hopefully). Damn single life ? Ps if the cover artwork is yours and you can provide proof, I would be happy to take it down at your request as per you intellectual rights. If not thx
