- Ash's POV -
"Hey babe, I have an idea." I say. "And what is this idea?" Ali asks me softly. "Well I was thinking since Paige hasn't really had any good things happening to her recently, I could do something to cheer her up." "And what is the something? I like this." She says. "I was thinking I could call her social worker to see if she has any contact info for Paige's older sister. Ask Jill if we could fly her out to surprise Paige." "I think she'd like that Ash. I'll go ask Jill real quick." She says before getting up and leaving. I unlock my phone and find Paige's social worker's number and hit it.
"Ah Mrs. Harris, how are you?" Cassidy answers the phone. "I'm good, thanks for asking." "No problem. How may I help you?" She asks. "I was wondering if you had any contact information on her older sister?" "Lemme see here. Uhm.... Yes in fact I do." "Is it possible I could have her number?" "Of course." She then told me the number and I wrote it down. "Thanks Cassidy." "No problem Mrs. Harris. Have a good day." She said and we hung up. Then Ali walked back in.
"Jill said she will get it handled if Paige's sister is up for it." Ali said with a smile. I then dial Danielle's number.
"Hi, this is Danielle Jayco, how may I help you?" "Hello Danielle. This is Ashlyn Harris, Paige's mother?" "Oh, hi Ashlyn. I'm surprised I hadn't saved your number. Is everything okay?" "Oh yes, everything is fine. Ali and I were wanting to ask you a question." "Shoot." The 28 year old said. "Paige needs some cheering up, and we were thinking that we could fly you out here to New York City? Coach said she'd handle everything I you were up for it." "Oh I'd love to. I haven't seen her since- well you know... What happened with our parents." She said. "Yeah." I say. "Thankfully I just took my two week vacation for work so this works great." "Great! I will text you the information once Jil has it." "Okay, thanks Ashlyn." "No problem, Danielle." I say and she hangs up.
"Let's go talk to Jill." I say and Ali follows me out of the room.
- Paige's POV - The Next Afternoon -
I'm sitting in the meal room with everyone. It's like only 3:23 and we're all just hanging out.

"Hey Paige, someone's here for you!" Kelley yells throughout the room, causing me to look up from my phone screen. I drop my phone down as I freeze in shock.
I recognize that face anywhere. It's been ten years since I've seen her. Danielle. She's trailing behind Kelley and she has tears of her own streaming. My tears start streaming. I toss my phone down on the table and go around the tables in my way before jumping into my sister's arms. She caught me and she's holding me up as we cry into each other.
"I missed you." She whispered after a few minutes. I jumped down and wiped my eyes. "I missed you too." I whisper back. "Paige?" I hear someone ask so I turn around. "Who is this?" Moe asks. "Oh sorry. Uhm... Everyone I would like to introduce you to Danielle, my sister. Danielle, the United States Women's National Team, or in other words, my aunts/sisters, it depends, and well you already know Mom and Mama." I say. "Nice to meet you girls." Danielle says. Everybody's jaw was dropped and they all looked confused except for moms and Jill. Then I turned to Danielle. "Wait- how did you know I was here?" I ask. "Well, two very special people gave me a call yesterday." She said and looked in the direction of my moms. "You two called her?" I ask. They nod and I go and hug them both and thank them. "Good thing she's your sister because a certain player looked really jealous." Sonnet said, with an ouch following. "What the hell Mal?" I looked at Mal and saw her blushing. "Anyways, we'll be cathing up so text me if you need me." I say and everyone responds with yes or okay. Danielle and I then walk out of the meal room.
"Why don't we head up to the roof? That's where I used to take you, remember?" She asks me. "Yeah I remember." I say with a smile as we walk to the elevators.
Once on the roof a minute later, I walk over to the edge and sit on the wall thing before staring out at the city. "Damn, you've grown." Danielle says. "Yeah. Well I guess so." I say. "What do you mean? The last time I saw you, you were literally half my height." She says. "The last time I saw you was when the state took me from you." "I wanted you to have a good life, baba. I would've taken care of you, but I hadn't graduated yet. I was eighteen. The state couldn't take me. That's why we were separated. I would've tried so hard to make sure I- I could take care of you. I- I just couldn't and I'm sorry. I've regretted that since they took you. Paige I'm sorry." She said. "It's okay, Danielle." I say, then getting off the ledge and holding her hands. "It's okay I promise. Ash and Ali have given me an amazing ten years. I know that you would have taken care of me, but you couldn't because of your situation." I say. "Y- you're right." She says and I simply nod.

After she calmed down, we started talking again.
"Where do you live now?" I ask her. "I'm in Portland. Yeah long time from Orlando, right?" She says and I nod. "What are you doing up there?" "I'm a teacher actually. We just got two weeks off for spring break." "Really?" I ask and she nods. "Any nieces or nephews or guys I should know about?" I ask and she laughs. "No, no, no, no." She says. "Okay then." I giggle. "How about you baba? How are you doing in Orlando? Your mom told me you needed some cheering up." She says. "Yeah... Uhm... I had an abusive boyfriend. No one knew until three days ago, when Mama saw the bruises at dinner." I say. "Pai, why didn't you reach out to me?" "He said he'd kill me if I told anyone.... That's why this happened two days ago at school." I say and pull down the part of my hoodie that's masking my neck. Danielle looks at my neck and gasps. The bruises are still really dark. "Paige." She says and pulls me into a hug. "It's fine, I'm fine." I say. "But what is this about a certain player looking jealous?" She asks and I feel my cheeks heat up. "Oh my goodness is my baby sister-" "If you say gay then yes probably." "I wasn't gonna say gay." She laughs. "Alright, continue." I say. "Do you like a certain player that may like you?" She asks. "Maybe... I don't know." I say. "What do you mean?" "I mean I don't know if I like her. Hell as far as I know I'm not gay." I tell her. "You could be though." She says and my phone pings.
1 New iMessage from Mal
I smile at how she has great timing. "Is it Mal?" My sister asks. "Yes." I say and open the message.
Hey Pai, I know you're catching up with your sister, but I was wondering if I could come apologise for something?
"She's wondering if she can come and apologise for something." I say. "Let her. It's okay. And I'd love to personally meet her." Danielle smirks. I playfully slap her.
I'll be up in a min.
Literally a minute later she's up here. She walks over to me and Danielle, which we're just leaning against the ledge thing.
"I uhm... I wanted to apologise for what Sonny said in the meal room. I am not gonna lie that I did get oddly jealous when you jumped into Danielle's arms. I had no right to assume anything and I just-" "Mal, it's fine. Just, calm down." I give a small laugh. "Okay..." She says. "Anyways, Mal, I'd like you to personally meet Danielle, Danielle, Mallory Pugh." I say and get a slap to the arm from Mal. "What did I tell you about my full first name?" "To not use it..." I mumble and rub my arm where she smacked me. Danielle's just laughing at me. "Anyways. Nice to meet you Danielle." "You too, Mal." She says. I look up to see Mal glancing at me. I instantly feel myself blush so I look back down. "I think I'm gonna give you two some time. I'll be in room 235, baba." "Okay." She hugs me and then leaves.
"Sorry again for being jealous. I mean, you don't belong to me, I never guess my crush on you just became t-" I knew what she was going to say, and at this point even though it's only been a few minutes, I know that I like her. I cup her cheeks gently and pull her in for a kiss, cutting her off. After a few seconds, she kisses back. When her phone rings a few seconds later, she pulls away. "Hello... I'll be there in a minute." She says and hangs up. She gives me a small smile before walking off. But it was a weird smile, not her usual beautiful smile.
