After finding out that one of Sero's crushes, Denki Kaminari, was dating Hitoshi Shinso, he pretended to be happy for his friend but in reality, he cried tears like a child when he was alone.

After a while, he got over his emotions and carried on his life as a pro hero in training. He put his feelings behind him not focusing on his other crush, however, his crush would think of him, worry and care about him. Iida had had a crush on the black haired male and was planning on asking him on a fun and enjoyable date to take his mind off his pain and so that is what he did.

Nervously, he asked Sero to join him later that day at a nearby carnival and they ate food, went on rides together and won prizes for each other, which they kept with them as souvenirs.

Later that evening, Iida walked a happy, smiling Sero home and he kissed his cheek, about to walk away only to be pulled in for a deep and passionate kiss on the lips by the shorter male. "Thank you for a wonderful evening Tenya".
