《I can't seem to let you go (A story I thought was Style but isn't)》Chapter 16

The first day of Kyle being in Jersey Stan and Kenny were miserable. Kenny barely wanted to go to work that day, but he power through and went. The moment he walked through the door he felt sick to his stomach, Craig and Tweek were behind the counter, making out and mumbling sweet nothings to each other. "How are you both making out at 5 in the morning?" Kenny groaned. Tweek and Craig looked at each other confused, usually Kenny would just give a flirtatious comment and leave the two be. "You good today Ken?" Tweek asked. "Yep. Just fine." Kenny said, throwing on his apron. "You sure? Cause you seem kinda huffy this morning." Craig said, not moving his hands from Tweek's waist. "I said I'm fine!" Kenny huffed.
"Don't get snappy with him," Tweek said immediately, "I don't know what the fuck is going on with you but your sure as hell not gonna bring it to the job today. Alright? Now suck it up and act like this on your break." Tweek said, before making his way to the back. " We open in 10, get a move on." Craig said. "Craig, you don't even work here!" Tweek called from the back. "When has that ever stopped me from doing work here babe?" Craig said, walking into the kitchen.
Tweek was right, there wasn't room to be acting like this, not here at least. Kenny straightened his apron and fixed his hat. He also noted not to get snappy with either of them again, it was almost their anniversary and neither were taking bullshit from anyone. Kenny walked into the kitchen and put in a smile. "These cookies need to go in the display right?" Kenny asked, picking up the tray. "Yep." Tweek nodded with a twitch. "Alright, on it."
The day dragged on slowly for Kenny, none of his texts to Kyle were answered or even read. Kenny sat in one of the booths bored, the shop was completely empty which was surprising for a Sunday, he looked up from his phone when Tweek sat across from him. "Okay, what's going on?" Tweek asked, taking a sip from the coffee Kenny was almost sure he was hiding from Craig. "You're not supposed to have coffee Tweek." Kenny pointed out but the blue eyed blonde shushed him. "Shut up and answer the question." Tweek said.

"It's really nothing." Kenny said, leaning back. Tweek didn't look convinced. "Fine, Kyle left before I could tell him how I felt. He's not answering his phone and hasn't read my text." Kenny caved under the blondes gaze. Tweek gave Kenny a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry Kenny." Tweek said softly, a harsh twitch coming after. "It's fine, Tweek. It's not like you made Kyle's family leave before I got there." Kenny sighed, placing his head down on the table. "True, but still," Tweek said, patting Kenny's head before getting up, "I'm sure everything will turn out fine." He added before walking over to the cash register.
Kenny watched as a couple customers walked in, Tweek and Craig seemed to have it under control so he made no point to help. He decided he was on his break. Then soon the wave of like 5 people died down and it was back to being empty. Kenny could hear Tweek and Craig whispering probably not suitable for work things to each other but decided to try and ignore it. Looking over to the door when it chimed.
"Oh, hey Stan. What can I get you?" Tweek asked. "Um, a mocha with extra whip cream." Stan said. "$3.75. Take a seat, you'll get it in a minute." Tweek hummed, Stan gave a quick nod and paid, making his way over to Kenny and sitting down. "Hey." Stan said, giving a small smile. "Sup," Kenny said, "What are you doing here?" He asked. "Getting... coffee?" Stan asked, slightly confused. "Alright, why are you sitting with me?" Kenny asked. "Jeez Ken, I just wanted to sit with you. I'll leave if it's such a problem."
"Sit your ass down Marsh. We already have to clean this table when Kenny gets up, you're not dirtying up another." Craig growled, sitting Stan's drink down. "Shut up Fucker."
"Darsh."
"Enough." Tweek said from behind the register. Immediately Craig went to him, completely forgetting about Stan. Tweek smiled, kissing Craig gently, gently grabbing his hands. Both Kenny and Stan watched in misery at the happy couple. "Can you two just like... argue or something?" Stan asked, sipping his coffee. "Yeah, no. Seeing you both happy and together literally hurts." Kenny added onto that. Both Tweek and Craig looked at each other before Tweek fake huffed. "I don't appreciate how handsome you look today." Tweek said, crossing his arms. "Well I don't appreciate how adorable you look today." Craig said. Both him and Tweek scowled at each other before they both burst into smiles. "Nope, we can't. We're too perfect." Tweek said pulling Craig into another kiss, only this time they stumbled into the kitchen.

There was long silence between Kenny and Stan before Stan said:
"Do you think Tweek's ever cut his lip or tongue on Craig's braces?"
Him and Kenny burst out laughing, and it felt nice to laugh. But soon it died down and Stan pulled out his phone. "Has Kyle answered any of your texts or calls?" Stan asked and Kenny shook his head. "Nope, he hasn't answered since yesterday." Kenny said, pulling out his own phone. Both boys sighed, looking at their text that had been left on read by Kyle. This was going to be a horrible summer.
Day 2- of Kyle being gone was worse. Kenny had the day off and just laid in his bed, still trying to contact Kyle but to no avail. Stan didn't have much better luck, besides Kyle not answering he also had to deal with the knowledge that Wendy was probably planning something.
Day 3- Stan and Kenny were sitting in Tweek bros. again, only this time Stan was helping. Craig and Tweek's anniversary was today so they took the day off. Tweek almost didn't, not wanting to leave Kenny alone but Stan volunteered. Even though Kenny still didn't trust him, he wanted Tweek to enjoy his day with Craig.
Day 4- Tweek and Craig were back but still no answer from Kyle
Day 5- Kenny and Stan were getting restless. Had something bad happened to Kyle?
Day 6- The boys were at their wits end, they needed to know if Kyle was okay.
Day 7- Alright, yeah, fuck this.
Kenny burst into Stan's house and groaned. "I can't take this anymore! Why won't he answer?!"
Stan, who was currently trying to distract himself by watching tv, looked at him. "Maybe he's just busy." Stan said but Kenny shook his head. "Stan, I know you're tired telling yourself that. Let's just go up there! Let's go to New Jersey because this isn't sitting right with me anymore." Kenny said. "You're right Ken, but we can't just do that. That's a 29 hour drive, not to mention traffic and gas prices." Stan said and Kenny paused.
"How do you know how many hours it is?"
Stan paused.
"You've been thinking about going up there too!" Kenny exclaimed and Stan crossed his arms. "Okay maybe but still. What about gas?" Stan asked, standing up. "I have some money from work. We can split the gas fees and take turns driving." Kenny said and Stan nodded. "Alright, go home and get some stuff for the trip and I'll do the same. Meet back here in an hour?" Stan asked, already making his way upstairs.
"Sure dude!" Kenny said, running out the house.
They were finally going to see Kyle.
