《Prince Edward X Reader {Enchanted}》Dinner and a Show

After cooking up a plain pepperoni pizza, you put on a random movie for Edward to keep him occupied. He ended up wanting to watch Tangled. While that was playing you started to slice the pizza. Once you brought Edward his plate, you noticed just how focused he was on the movie. You smile to yourself and sat on the couch next to him and began eating.
After finishing both your dinner and the movie, Edward kept jumping around saying how the movie was 'fascinating' and 'marvelous'. You chuckled each time he pretended to fight off all the ruffians. At one point he was running around your couch sing 'When will my life begin?'. He made sure he sung it loud enough were the whole apartment complex probably heard him. "Such a delightful story your magic mirror told!" He smiled brightly and looked at the tv. You laughed. "Edward it's not a magic mirror, it's a television." You reminded him yet again. "What ever you decide to cal your magic mirror, I still thinks it's fascinating! I really enjoyed the song they sang on the boat." "Oh yeah, that's my favorite song in the movie too." Suddenly Edward began humming the song out. He then stopped and looked at you. "We should sing the song together! A wonderful duet we old be!" "I don't think so Edward, I'm not much of a singer." He looked at you slightly taken back. "Nonsense! Everyone enjoys singing!" "Not everyone. You can feel free to sing but I'm not really interested." Edward took your hands in his larger ones and looked into your eyes pleadingly. "Surely you would enjoy singing one song with me peasant." You slightly blushed up until you realized he called you peasant. "My name isn't peasant! It's (y/n)! Edward ignored your complaint and swiftly lifted lifted you to your feet. Before you could question what he was doing, he started slowing dancing with you and started humming the song 'I see the light' again. Standing there for at least a minute you sighed to yourself and decided to give in so you could get this over with and go to bed. Looking at your feet, face fully red with embarrassment you shyly began to sing.

"All those days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in"
Edward looked at you surprised. He didn't actually expect you to start singing. None the less he smiled and kept dancing with you while you continued to sing.
"Just how blind I've been
Now I'm here blinking in the starlight
Now I'm here suddenly I see
Standing here it's all so clear
I'm where I'm meant to be"
Gaining a little more courage you looked up and met Edward's smiling face starring at your flustered one. Regretting looking up, you shifted your gaze to the wall but Edward softly grabbed your chin and had you look at him.
"And at last I see the light
And it's like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And it's like the sky is new
And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything looks different
Now that I see you"
Edward grinned knowing it was his turn to sing. He twirled you around surprising you before he want back to casually dancing with you. Slowly swaying together he began to sing.
"All those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur"
Edward's voice was much smoother than usual. He wasn't singing to the top of his lungs, but rather kept his voice to a calming level. You knew your face was beat red at this point. Edward didn't even notice you blushing and just kept on.
"All that time never truly seeing
Things, the way they were
Now she's here shining in the starlight
Now she's here suddenly I know
If she's here it's crystal clear
I'm where I'm meant to go"
You and Edward kept swaying around your apartment together. Eyes never leaving one another. Both of your hands were intertwined as the song came closing to and end.

"And at last I see the light"
You sang together. The sound of both your voices together soothing one another. Edward smiled and leaned his forehead onto yours.
"And it's like the fog has lifted"
Still blushing your closed your eyes as you heard his soft voice meet your ears. Gazing up your met his eyes once again and smiled.
"And at last I see the light"
Edward felt his cheeks warm up slightly but didn't understand why. He should be focused on Giselle right now. It was just so hard to stay focus when he was having to much fun singing and dancing with you.
"And it's like the sky is new"
You blushed so hard feeling embarrassed. Looking down to the floor your watched as both yours and Edward's feet moved together almost perfectly in sync. Feeling Edward's hand on your chin again you hesitated, but looked up and met his eyes.
"And it's warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted"
You didn't realize how close the two of your were.
"All at once everything is different
Now that I see you"
You could feel Edward's breath on your face.
"Now that I see you"
You and Edward leaned in closer on instinct. Mere centimeters away you both suddenly jumped back when you heard the person under your apartment hit his ceiling. "I'm trying to sleep you idiots!" After that interruption it became silent with you and Edward just starring at one another. Breaking the silence you coughed a little and gazed at Edward. "It's getting pretty late, we should probably get ready for bed." He looked at you and nodded. "You are right peasant. Where is it that I shall be resting for the night?" You sighed again, annoyed that he would call you peasant. You pointed at the couch. "You can sleep here tonight. Don't worry about being cramp, it folds out into a bed." Edward's looked amazed. "You mean this thing can become a large bed? Fascinating! Please show me dear peasant!" Trying to ignore the remark, you pulled the couch back letting the mattress part fold out. Edward was wide eyed just starring at the bed that was a couch seconds ago. "What type of magic is this?! I must know!" "Edward it's not magic, it's just a cool couch." "Cool couch? That's what you call the spell you have casted?" You laughed a little. "No. I mean the couch is just cool because it can become a bed. Look I'll be in that room there." You pointed to a door down the small hallway. "If you need anything just knock." Edward nodded before getting down on one knee and taking your hand in his. Before you could question him he kissed your knuckle. "Thank you dear peasant I am forever grateful for the kindness you have shown me. Please rest well and I shall see you in the morning." And with that he stood up and settled down in the bed. You stood there for a few seconds completely flabbergasted before walking to your room without another word. Once settled for bed you blushed after recalling the whole evening. "I don't even know this man and yet he's sleeping in my apartment only feet away from me." Not wanting to think on the situation anymore, you turned off your lamp and fell asleep.

The Polyglot's Rune
Fear. Regret. Memories. They all flashed before my eyes as my life began to fade away. I felt a darkness encroach upon my heart followed by a sinister foreboding. Within that moment I was asked a single question by a powerful, mystical being. “Brave being, do you wish to accomplish a great deed in your life?” “No,” I refused, but the voice did not listen. It summoned me to its world only to try to have me slaughtered. But then, I was saved by him, the princess who disguised herself as a man. He was hellbent on revenge, and he was determined to drag me down with him. This story is meant to be a bit of a mix of genres and cultures, so there are some elements that may seem xianxia like, but it's not exactly the same so I didn't tag it. It also has multiple lead characters but is written in first person. Schedule: Dropped Normal Chapter Length: approximately 3000 words Warning: Tagged [15+] for Strong Language and Violence (Gore and Profanity aren't very prevalent, but I added the warning tags just in case).
