"What's going to happen to him" I ask watching as the Council members and several of our warriors' place Pete into a SUV. I can see his face clearly from where I stand at the entrance of the pack hospital. His eyes are dark and cold. As much as I want to rip him to shreds for hurting us, my body is still weak and the pups in my belly are starting to wake-up. Thank Goddess Dane is inside. Titus and five other warriors had to peel Dane off Pete when they were escorting him to the underground holding-cells.

"The Council each met with him separately...he holds no remorse for his actions. He made it clear that he would never stop coming for Gideon, Seth, and Sariah. We can't let that happen Caleb" Jack angrily says.

"Alpha Jack. Tell me" looking over at him. His eyes tell me everything—they're going to execute him.

"He's told the Coucil where he buried his mate. They have offered to bury him next to her after the execution. He's agreed. And don't bother to ask where he buried her, only the Council know" he says watching the SUV leave.

"How are you doing" he looks over at me.

I sigh trying to figure out how to answer the question.

"Bat-shit crazy" I finally respond. Alpha Jack starts laughing.

"I've moved, mated, almost lost my mate, gotten pregnant, had my daughter kidnapped, drugged, kidnapped...you can't make this shit up" I remark shaking my head.

Alpha Jack opened his mouth to say something when his phone went off. Looking at the screen he takes a deep breath "Hello babe...yes, we are leaving in a few minutes. No...I don't know what time we'll be home. I'm not getting smart...It just depends on traffic. No, Caleb hasn't been released from the hospital yet. Alpha Tyler is going to have them stay at the pack house until Caleb can travel...Yes, I will tell him to get his ass home. Don't cry...Titus is staying back to be with them. I love you too... Bye."

"Is he okay" I ask Alpha Jack. Felix can be intense at times, but he has been calling Jack almost every hour.

"I don't know...the whole way up here, the same thing. Half the time the phone call would end with him crying and me trying to figure out what the hell just happened. He hasn't been like since he was pregnant with Daniel..." Alpha Jack's stops, his eyes widen and shock takes over his face.

I couldn't' help but laugh at his reaction. I'm sure Jack's remembering how Felix was when he was pregnant before. It wasn't pretty.

"Oh shit..." he whispers.

"Don't jump to conclusions. Maybe with the attack and the kidnapping he's just on edge" I try to convince my friend trying to hold down my laughter.

We both tense hearing a loud growl come from the forest. I can sense Alpha Jack posture and ready to shift as we both look towards the edge of the forest, unsure what might be coming. We see a smaller gray and brown wolf walking out the forest shifting into a short, naked human. It was Asa, the omega that had rescued Sariah.

"I CAN'T BE MATED TO YOU...YOUR OLD" he screams folding his arms over his chest.

A very irritated and naked Titus walks out of the forest. As he passes Asa, he growls out "I'm not too thrilled about it either" and continues to walk towards us his face red, fists clenched.

"What do you mean you're not thrilled! I'm young and hot...you, you have old balls" Asa continues to scream trailing behind Titus.

Titus stops, turns around, and stalks towards Asa causing him to freeze in place. He stops just far enough so Asa had a clear view of his body.

"Do these look like old balls to you" Titus smirks as Asa's eyes become wide and his mouth opens.

"N-no" Asa stutters still staring at Titus's quite impressive manhood.

Without a word, Titus turns and heads our direction.

"Trouble in paradise" I tease as he walks by us letting off a low growl.

"This whole damn pack has gone bat-shit crazy" Jack says shaking his head.

I laugh giving him a pat on the back.

"Alpha...everything is ready" one of our warriors calls out.

"On my way. When will you be home" he inquires turning towards me.

"Doctor Jane wants to keep my fluids going for another twelve hours to completely flush the toxins from my system. By then, the pups should be more awake and we can get another ultrasound" I answer.

When Dane brought me to the hospital, they did an ultrasound. We could hear the babies heart beats but they weren't moving. The heartbeat was slow but strong. Doctor Jane and I thought it could be they were sleeping. She asked me if my wolf could tell us anything. I hadn't realized it but I hadn't heard from Katon for a couple of days. Doctor Jane thought that maybe Katon had someone been able to protect the pups from the toxin. In truth, we had no idea why the pups where sleeping or why Katon had gone quiet. During the night, I had woken up when I felt movement in my belly. We did another ultrasound and saw the pups starting to move. Since then, I have felt their movements increase.

It was when Dane found out that the pups weren't moving that he lost it. Pete wouldn't have had to wait for his execution, Dane would have killed him right their on the pack lawn if Titus and Alpha Jack hadn't stopped him.

"Alright. Keep me up-dated. And...Titus. Maybe try to do something with that" he smirks before walking towards the car.

"Thanks" I call back sarcastically. I watch as the two SUV's drive away before I head back into the hospital and make my way to my room. I see Titus slumped down on a chair out-side the door looking miserable.

Sitting down next to him, I try to think of something to make the situation seems less shitty. He and Asa found out yesterday that they were mates. Things aren't going well. It's odd though, Asa always seems to turn up wherever Titus is.

"Your mate's cute" I blurt out before I could stop myself getting a low growl in response.

"So there's a ten-year age difference...does it really matter? And sure he's a bit spirited, but well..." stopping myself before I make things worse.

Again, the only response is a growl.

"Stop growling old man. We need to talk" Asa barks approaching us.

"Good luck" I quietly mutter getting up and heading into my room.

"Seriously...why do you have to growl like that all the time" Asa squaks.

Quickly, I leave the love-birds in the hall and head back to my room. I hope Asa doesn't do anything reckless. Titus is a little stiff and mostly growls, but he's a really good guy.

Not wanting to wake up the Papa Sandwich that is currently on the love-seat, I quietly sit back down on the bed and re-connect the IV tubing. Looking back over to the couch, Dane has his head back and eyes closed. One boy on each leg leaning against him and Sariah sprawled across his chest. Legs and arms on top of each other.

Dane hasn't let them out of his sight since yesterday. They didn't have any physical wounds but I know that these last few days will stay with them the rest of their lives. We, well I tried to explain that Grand-Pa was sick which made him make bad choices. Dane couldn't stomach telling them anything other than their Grand-Pa was a sick fuck but I convinced him that now wasn't quite the right time. The kids accepted my explanation for now but as they get older, I will have to explain it in more depth.

"Hey Love" Dane says quietly pulling me from my thoughts.

"Hey Baby."

I watch as he expertly detaches himself from the pups and lays them down.

"Tired" he asks. I nod.

"C'mon, lay down Love" he says as I bring my legs up onto the bed. I lay on my side facing the love-seat. Dane lays down behind me pulling me against him keeping a hand on my belly.

"I missed you" he whispers in my ear. I smile feeling my body respond to his voice.

"Let it out Love" he says kissing my neck. "Your body is tense and you've have a fixed smile on your face since yesterday. You have been strong throughout this whole thing, it's okay to not be strong right now. You're safe. They're safe."

I know he's right. I've pushed down all my fear and anger knowing I had to be strong. I was so scared...scared that I would never see Dane again. Scared that Gideon, Seth, and Sariah would be taken from us and raised by that bastard.

Laying in Dane's arms I know that I am loved and safe. My eyes become blurry and warm tears stream down my face. I let go...

I wake to kisses on my neck. Opening my heavy eyes slowly, it takes time for them to adjust to the light. I must have cried myself to sleep. My entire body tenses when I realize the love-seat is empty.

"Nothing is wrong. They are perfectly safe. Titus is using them as a human shield against Asa" I hear Dane chuckle from behind me. I turn onto my back looking up at Dane smiling.

"Good morning Love."

Our eyes are lock and I see lust flicker in his eyes. He leans down and gently kisses me. It's not enough and I want more. Clasping my hands against his neck, I pull him in for a deep kiss. The warmth of his tongue against mine has me moaning. Ignoring our awkward position, I continue to repeatedly kiss my mate.

We staying kissing for several glorious minutes before I hear someone clearing their throat pulling us from our kiss. Looking up, I see Doctor Jane waving at us at the door. Dane sits up before helping me up.

She completes an examination and the nurse takes my vitals.

"So...we are going to draw some blood and do another ultrasound after lunch. If everything looks good, you can go home sooner than we expected" she declares happily.

"Keep your hands off each other long enough for Felicia to draw your blood. Felicia if you don't mind closing the door on your way out" she smirks heading towards the door.

"Thank you Doctor Jane" I call as she leaves the room.

"Sorry about that" looking at the nurse slightly embarrassed.

"Actually happens more than you think. Wolves are horny" she shrugs.

Dane starts laughing and I couldn't help but join in. It's true, wolves love to mate.

"Before you draw the blood, I need to use the bathroom" I say detaching the tubing from my IV.

When I come out of the bathroom, Dane is gone.

"He said something about rescuing Titus and that he would be back soon" Felicia tells me as she preps the needle to draw blood.

My hands instinctively rest on my belly when I feel movement. "I know babies...you want your Papa back too but he has to go save Uncle Titus from his scary mate" I say soothingly.

Jack is right...this pack is bat-shit crazy.

Eight-hours later we were on our way home. Alpha Tyler had learned about the rogue attack from the Council members and was impressed by how quickly our warriors were able to subdue Pete. He arranged with Alpha Jack and Dane for some of his warriors to come down to our pack and train. Alpha Jack and Alpha Tyler made a pack alliance so I'm sure we'll have more dealings with them in the future.

Dane was driving and everything felt right. Seth and Sariah were sitting in their car-seats humming to a song on the radio. Gideon was in the back trying to cheer up a very grumpy Titus. I had one hand on my belly and the other on Dane's thigh.

We were going home...
