《The Tracking ✔》Chapter 52-Fire In Her Eyes

I find a break in the rogues and take it. I run, jumping over a few rogues that try to stop me. I need to conserve my energy and not use any magic until I absolutely need to. If you can remember, I wasn't very good at fighting in wolf form or human. Yet, some things I do are easy to me.

In the opposite direction, my mate skillfully fights and kills the different rogues with the mission to get to Morgan. Though, he will have to go through a few rogues to do that, while also avoiding the cuffs. That may prove to be difficult.

I'm getting closer to the first cage. The witches smile at each other and energy seems to flow back into their bodies as I get closer to them.

Except, an older rogue grabs my arm and before I'm aware quickly twists it behind my back as I'm about to reach the cages. I in return without thinking twice, turn to face him even though my arm pops out of place. He didn't expect that from the terrified look on his face that I actually put myself though that pain willingly. He mumbles profanity as I grab him by his arm and throw him across the room. He lands with a big boom, then I recognize his yell and then Theo's growling. He's in his wolf form now, which will help him.

I pop my arm back with a grunt of pain and continue my journey to the witches. A few rogues get in my way, I try to kill the majority of them but some I just throw out of my way. I may be little, but being a hybrid gives me more strength than the average she-wolf. Plus I'm a Luna.

After a few more dead rogues and a few wounded ones, I get to the cages.

"Oh my god, you're here. You're actually here. You have to get us out of here. " A brunette witch who looks maybe sixteen begs me. I ignore her, focusing my attention on the issue at hand. I examine the lock and pull at it hard.

If I try to talk to her and comfort her I'll get distracted. The metal stings my fingers and I look at my hand and see some skin missing from the shocking burn. It heals instantly after I retract my hand.

So this lock is made with the same thing as the cuffs are that the rogues have right now. I look down the line of cages and note that all the locks are that way. "Shit." I curse and touch the bars, it burns my skins as well and I can't project my magic out when I touch them.

Theo, I can't get in. I mind-link him. I look in his direction, where most of the fighting is. I see his wolf killing rogues left from right. You'd think the rogues would run away with their legs tucked underneath their back legs but, they keep coming.

"I never wanted this." A voice says, drawing me back to my right. Morgan stands there, some of his clothes are torn with blood caked on them. His hands are red, stained with someone's blood. Someone that was important to him.

I didn't know of anyone who was close to Morgan. Jared was the only family I thought he had left.

"Run, get out of here." A witch whispers behind my back. I ignore the advice, watching Morgan as he steps closer with a sour look on his face.

"How could you say you didn't ask for this?" I ask, the words spitting out like venom. "You want to destroy families for power? What kind of monster does that?"

For the first time, Morgan appears to be broken. "Jared and I have always been rogues. We slept on sidewalks, in woods, in abandoned homes. We made some friends along the way, Chad being one of them. He's the one who found you and luckily he knew about the legend of the hybrid. He knew this would be a big change for us, he promised us a future beyond being useless rogues. We could finally be someone. " Morgan pauses, tears gather in his eyes. "I promised Jared a better life."

"So, no we aren't monsters Jacqueline. We are just tired of being treated like one." Morgan finishes. He's vulnerable, I can kill him easily. Right here, right now. I can't bring myself to do that. He just had to bring Jared into this, and act like all of this was for a better life for is son.

What if he's telling the truth?

Morgan keeps his distance from me. I keep my werewolf senses heightened as I study him.

"Jared's been happy." I pause as Morgan's face shows how my words negatively affect him. "He's got a family that loves him and cares for him. I love him as if he's my little brother. He doesn't want you to do any of this."

Morgan rolls his eyes, "He's twelve he doesn't know what he wants."

"He's fourteen." I reply back, narrowing my eyes.

His expression turns to dumbfounded, "What?"

"He's fourteen, not twelve." My correction come out harsh as I clench my fist. Not only is Jared a very smart boy who knows the difference between what he wants and right and wrong, he also told me that he wanted to kill his father. And what father can't remember how old his child is? A year difference I could almost understand, but three? He doesn't care about Jared, no. He wants Jared for entirely different reason.

The sympathy I had for a split second doesn't stay for long as I open my hands and lift Morgan up with my abilities. "Open these cages."

"I won't!" He struggles as if that will make me let him down. I angle him where his head is facing the cages.

"Open these cages or I'm going to bang your head against the lock until-" I threaten, then a force is knocked into my side. I fall to the ground and a rogue climbs on top of me holding a knife. He kept my arms pinned down under his legs, his groin unfortunately in my face.

My hold on Morgan disappears and I hear him fall back to the floor, then scramble to help the rogue holding me down. "Give me the knife Gavin." Morgan quickly orders. I try to put up my armor again, but Morgan is already putting the sharp knife to my arm, a quick slit and my blood begins rolling off my arm.

Shit.

"YES!" Morgan yells out triumphantly. The rogue loosens his grip and I get the strength to take a arm hit him on the head. I hit him hard enough he wobbles backwards and falls back, groaning in pain. I may not be skilled in fighting, but that doesn't mean I don't throw a good punch. Morgan get a nearby cup from the table and attempts to catch some of my blood in it before I am able to get up and defend myself more.

I bring my feet up and kick him in the chest, sending him back into a cage. The cup, which was glass, shatters on the floor. I use my telekinesis to pick up a big shard of it and fling it as close as I can to Morgan's heart. I miss and it goes into his shoulder, knocking him back into the cages.

The witches grab a hold of his clothing and pull him against the bars, holding him there for me. He tries to free himself, but they have a tight angry grip on him.

The rogue I punched in the head finally gets up and looks at me as if he's wondering whether he should try to get me back down again or just run.

And from the fire in my eyes... he chose the latter.

I turn back to Morgan after deciding to let the rogue go. My arm healed instantly, all that's left is some dry blood on the floor and some on my arm.

When Kelsia turned Theo into a Spellbound Lycan we took many steps which I performed and then she continued. I have a feeling that Morgan doesn't know all the steps. I have to cut my own palm and I have to light the fire. They can't possibly force me to do that, although I'm sure they would try. I do wish I did more research, but I won't risk anything. Whether i do things willing for them or not, they could probably find a way to become Spellbound Lycans anyway.

I walk to Morgan, the witches keep him forcefully against the bars. He tries to get out of their grasp, but they are angry. They have fire in their eyes as well.

"This is the end for you." I say, not wasting another moment before I grasp his neck in my hands. My claws come out and prick his neck, bringing some blood with it.

"We have Jamie." He gasps out, his breath labored under my vengeful hands. I drop him without much thought as the words come out of his mouth. Jamie? No, not my Jamie.

My blood runs cold as movement in the corner of the room captures my attention and I see brother is dragged out of a room by a rogue. The terrified look on his face breaks my heart and I want to immediately go to him, but I can't.

Morgan had more than one back up plan. Jamie must be the last one.

Morgan rises to his feet and laughs. I direct my attention back to him, using my magic to put him back against the cell bars. How long has Jamie been here? Does my Mom and Dad know?

Theo they have my brother. I have no idea where he is and I don't have time to look at him. Knowing Theo, he probably took the fight outside.

Morgan's face shows slight fear, but like the other times confidence shadows over him.

"If you kill me, he will kill Jamie."

Several wolves circle me outside of the warehouse. Their blood thirsty and jealousy eyes watch me for any sudden movements. Though, my sudden movements they wouldn't even be able to prepare for.

I'm stronger. I was strong before, but now- I feel invincible. Which, I know isn't really good to feel like that because I can get in something I can't truly get out of, but it's a feeling like never before. I first noticed the change when Chase and I were fighting, I wanted to fight him. It was tough trying to keep calm and not punch him in the face.

I've never had impulse control issues like that. However, I've noticed I'm not like that anymore. I have some control, but with assholes like these I don't care to.

A light dust forms around us from the gravel being disturbed. The different colors of mangy wolves keep their eyes on me as I, in my wolf form, keep my eyes on them.

The decided to corner me, as if that would do some good.

Theo they have my brother. JC mind-links me. She frantic, scared, and angry as can feel as her emotions comes through with her words.

I never have spoken to Jamie and the last I knew was that Jackie and Conrad didn't want Jamie around JC. How the rogues got Jamie I have no idea, but I the act sends a rage through my body.

That's the last straw.

I run to the rogues jumping over them. The ones I jumped over leaped to try to bite my legs, but I jumped up higher than they anticipated. After I'm not cornered anymore I turn back to them and start killing.

One by one, twenty-seven rogues fall with little effort on my part. More come out of the warehouse and I end their lives as well as I continue to try to get to my mate and Jamie.

I'm covered in my enemies blood, it drips down my fur and as I walk successfully into the warehouse, the rogues standing by all tremble in fear.

I snap my jaws at them- giving them a warning to either leave or come at me. Some cower in fear and run out the door, other's listen to Morgan's orders and charge me.

One jumps above my body, landing on my back and attempts to tear out my backbone. My skin, like the rest of me is tougher. He fails and I sling him off, and then return the favor by ripping out his spine with my sharp teeth.
