《The Tracking ✔》Chapter 50- Golden Hour

It worked. It really worked.

I try to look as confused as the rogues and Morgan as they stare at my arm with confusion.

"What do you mean the witch wants to protect the blood?" Rogue Two asks with anger. I attempt to shrug my shoulders, only to remember my chest is strapped to the chair and my arms are as well.

"Well, you didn't think it would be easy did you? I can't help what my body does."

Morgan shakes his head and runs his fingers though his already falling out hair. "Relax will you?" Morgan's overly-stern voice actually reveals how nervous he is as he stares at my arms.

"It's hard to do that when I'm literally in a torture chair, which is clearly what you had intended it for." My smart remark makes me receive a glare by Rogue Two.

Rogue One looked at Morgan with knowledge that this was indeed true and I just shook my head.

"If you can't relax so we can take some blood, I will hurt Theo." Morgan gets close to me, looking at me in the eye with a serious tone. I blink a few times, pretending to process his words.

Threatening Theo- that's pretty funny. They have no idea he's a Spellbound Lycan and immortal. I don't want my mate to get hurt, period. However, I know that Theo can withstand a few "beatings". I don't want that to happen, but he's immortal. He's stronger than he was before, even though we haven't actually seen what he can do now.

"Look, maybe use a knife? It should penetrate my skin." I offer and glance at the scalpel on the table. "Don't hurt my mate. I'm trying to work with you here." I put some desperation in my voice to show I'm scared of them hurting Theo.

Morgan watches me closely and then proceeds to pick up the scalpel himself. He brings it close to my left arm and traces my skin, poking the tip of the blade in it ever so slightly.

He finally lays the blade down on my skin and Rogue Two hands his a bowl for my blood to drip in. Morgan puts pressure on the blade, harder than I anticipated he would. But my skin wouldn't break.

Before I could blink, Morgan throws the table of equipment beside me across the room. I jump and turn my head away from the possibility of him laying his hands on me, but he didn't.

Instead he walked out of the room with a anger look on his face. His rogue servants looked me and then back at the place where he disappeared to.

After a few minutes of silence, I spoke up. "I don't think he's coming back fellas. Can you take me back to my room?"

JC mind-linked me that her magic worked, but that Morgan was not happy about it. The rogues where taking her back to her room until they could come up with a way to "Relax JC's witch." I think these idiots actually think that just like JC's wolf, the witch is separate from her.

We've known that's not the truth based on JC not hearing a voice in her head, unless it was her wolf. Even then JC's wolf is just another version of her. Slightly different, but the same.

JC remembered something Kelsia told her once before- a spell. It allows JC to have control over her body. She basically made her skin into armor.

So, yes so far all she can do is telekinesis and that, but those are awesome abilities. If she wasn't able to toughen her skin, then we wouldn't had taken this risk.

Chase has informed me that the plan is still in session and that they should be here later tonight with back up. He wasn't happy when he asked why there are vampires at the pack house, but they will prove to be good back up as well.

Considering this place is swarming with rogues, we definitely need all the man and woman power we can get.

My door opens after that thought and JC walks in, the rogues shut the door behind her quickly.

"They are hoping you will talk my witch into relaxing." JC says as she sits beside me. I pull her close as she leans her head over my chest. Our real thoughts will have to be mind-linked to each other, because someone is watching behind the camera.

JC knows this, which is why she's laying in my arms and not laughing at the stupidity of the rogues. But behind the curtain...

Theo you should've seen their faces. It was hysterical.

I bet, right when they thought they would get what they wanted then boom, you're a statue!

"I wish I could, but I'm not mated to your witch. That chick has a totally separate personality." I say out loud to what she said when she first laid down.

"My skin is like a block of concrete. They couldn't draw any blood, which is a good thing. But, I don't want them to think I'm doing it on purpose." JC pouts and nuzzles her face into my neck. I stoke her hair, and pretend to look concerned.

JC smiles into my neck and I hug her tighter. We've got this babe.

These fools won't know what hit them.

______

JC is taken from the room after a couple hours. Morgan jerks her up from the cot she and I are resting on, he ignores my plea for him to be careful with her.

After they disappear, a couple other rogues come into my room to get me. I'm pulled harshly from the room and I let them think I'm weak as I follow where they drag me.

We enter the room where the witches are being held and I see JC strapped to the torture chair.

She looks upset as she glares at Morgan and at the rogues holding me. Another chair is wheeled out from a room and I realize that I will be strapped to it.

This action was not expected, since I assumed Morgan was going to treat us decently until he got his son. The rogues push me in the chair where a make a loud thudding sound. They begin strapping me in with leather that has been submerged in Wolf's Bane.

I let out a grunt as my eyes widen at the unexpected pain. I can handle it, but even the strongest Alpha will be in pain from this.

However as a Spellbound Lycan, I can tell that the pain isn't as bad as I've felt before when Wolf's Bane has touched my skin. Still, I have to act like I'm in extreme pain.

"What are you doing?" JC asked the rogues in a desperate tone as they bounding me by the leather straps. I try to fight a little to show that I'm not happy. I bare my teeth, flashing my bright gold Alpha eyes at the ones restraining me. They seem unfazed, although they avoid eye contact.

"Stop!" JC yells and struggles under her own restraints. I can tell she is partially worried, although most of it's an act for them.

"This is no way to get your son back." I say plainly after gathering my barrings, looking at Morgan. He looks back at me when I bring up Jared and he clenches his jaw. A vein pops in his neck, showing me that he is on edge and ready to start throwing punches. Or simply wants to kill me, who knows?

"I will get the blood," He points to JC then turns to me "or I will torture you. That was the deal. One pint of blood and then you'll go back to be treated decently." His tone is sharp as he looks between JC and I.

"You've got two minutes." He finishes and walks to a chair a few feet away to sit. He looks at us with his arms crossed, slouching in the chair as if his threat with miraculously make a difference.

JC has a panic in her eyes, which I realize I need as well.

"I don't know how to just let you take it." JC says as she pleads with Morgan. The rogues stand by for JC to allow them to take blood, but I know she won't allow that to happen.

"You better figure it out." Morgan mumbles as he continues to watch us. JC looks at me and then back at him with fear. I accept that I will probably be beat pretty badly, but the thought of it doesn't scare me like it would have before.

Like c'mon no one wants to get beat to an inch of their life, that doesn't make me weak.

I can handle it. The pain. Granted, I may break out of these restraint unconsciously and start killing hundreds of rogues - but I'll try to refrain from doing that even when they are breaking bones.

JC bites her lip as she blinks back her tears. "Morgan, I don't think you understand-"

Morgan rises from his seat in a flash and is in front of JC grabbing her jaw in his large hands. The chair scraps the floor as I immediately try to go protect her, but the rogues comes from behind me and push the chair down. The wolfs bane burns into my arm, creating a horrendous smell that heals and then cuts over and over again.

JC flinches under his fast touch and so do I, thinking about his nasty hands on my mate.

"You will do what you have to do, or Alpha Theo will die. Simple. I'll take more extreme measures after the fact if necessary." Morgan stares JC in the eye as he spoke and I could sense in her emotions that she was getting angry.

JC's tears seemed to stop and a stone look appears on her face as she looked at Morgan. "Here's what I know. You can't give me or confine me in whatever you have those witches locked up in because my magic will disappear while I'm in there. So, the blood you would draw wouldn't be useful. Sure, whatever you have on my wrists gives me loss of magic, but the rest of my body radiates in it. I don't have control over my witch, only my wolf. If you kill my mate, you have two supernatural beings against you- even though they both hate your guts. I don't think the odds would look good for you then." JC pauses and licks her lips as she she begins what she says next.

"Jared, will never comes back. The pack will keep him hidden and you'll be left with a choice. Do you want this blood or your son more? You think on that Morgan, because if you hurt me or Theo, or any of the pack members then you will never have access to this blood or Jared. You're walking on thin ice, don't stomp on it."

Morgan lets go of JC's jaw and steps back. She hold her eyes with his as he decides his next move will be. JC does have a way with her words and Jared is a touchy subject for Morgan.

The rogues look to their Alpha Rogue to see what he will do. I know they want me to be beat and JC to be forced to give her blood, however Morgan decides and it's at our convenience to have Jared on our side.

The rogues behind me still have their hands on my shoulders, keeping me in my seat although I'm strapped in. I watch for Morgans reaction and he seems to be taking some time to decide.

"I know what this is." Morgan pauses, a unreadable expression on his face. "Maybe I don't get my son back right now, but nothing will hold me back from getting him when I'm a Spell Bound Lycan. I was mistaken to think you would corporate with me. This is a game to you."

JC automatically shakes her head in disagreement as he approaches her again with a set look on his face of sardonic.

"You think this is a game?! I allowed you to bring myself and my mate here so you would quit trying to kill my pack! We got so sick and tired of running and fighting. Morgan, I didn't know that my witch would take up so much defense. You have to give me time for my body to adjust. You can't expect me to just relax!" JC has a panicked tone in her voice that I realize easily that is very real. We didn't expect Morgan to be to impulsive and reckless. We assumed he would at least treat us okay for a few days before he would get this way, which we knew was always enviable.

I can tell that Morgan isn't buying a thing JC or I say. Which shows to be true because what he says next rattles me to my core, "Go to the pack house and start killing women and children until JC gives me what I want. There's a bunker around there somewhere."

"Are you crazy? Killing the pack or my mate has nothing to do with my witch!" JC tries to stop the rogues from leaving but a few already walk out the door and begin talking to a few rogues.

This is it. This is the golden hour that decides what will happen for our future. For everyone's.

JC looks over at me with worry across her features. We can't wait for the warriors to get here. This ends now.
