《The Tracking ✔》Chapter 47-The Time Is Here

I'm back! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Theo
Upon arriving to the pack house, I soon discover chaos. JC is fighting on the pack grounds, not in the attic.
I'm gone for one hour and this is what I come back to? More rogue attacks and my mate not listening to my direct order?
I keep my eyes on her as I run into the fight with my men, Bellamy's men, and the vampires coming in fast after me. "JC! Get your ass back in the house!" I yell, dogging a rogue that lunges at me. I hear it howl in pain from behind me and then Ruby appears beside me.
When I said it was chaos, I wasn't kidding. I had my eyes on JC even though she didn't even notice me there- then I lost sight of her. There are hundreds of rogues, but I had to ask myself if this was grand big fight. Maybe this is it. Maybe we can end everything here, now.
"Which is she?" Ruby asks, scanning the everyone. I look for her too, but also keep watch of my surroundings as I wouldn't want to get attacked because I wasn't paying attention.
Suddenly, five rogues get thrown in the air in different directions all from the same area. Right in the middle of all the fighting. JC's face comes into view as she continues fighting off rogues coming at her using her abilities. Jared is fighting beside her, shielding and protecting her back.
"That's her. That's my girl." I say standing for a small moment in admiration.
It all happened so fast. One minute I was communicating with the remaining warriors telling them to be prepared, the next Jared and I both joined them, and now I have no way to get Jared and I out.
No, I didn't just let Jared follow me out of the house, but he insisted I needed a bodyguard and that he should be the one to kill his father, since he is sure he is here. I tried keeping him in the attic, but the dude somehow detached the silver bars from the windows and jumped down, since I barricaded the door from the outside trying to keep him in.
His persistence is impressive, but now we are sandwiched between rogues...and is that vampires? The smell stands over everything else.
I scan my surrounding and pray there are not any vampires apart of this ruthless army, but my eyes land on a red head.
And she's with my mate? No, Theo never told me anything about vampire alliances or that vampires can even be trusted. I've heard they are evil and constantly looking for werewolf blood.
A sense of relief does however rush over me to see he's okay, for now anyway. The vampires can't be good news though.
I focus my attention to clear a path to get to him. "Kid, stay with me!" I lean back and say to Jared who is fighting a couple of wolves. I'm keeping five rogues away just by holding their bodies in place since I was looking at Theo.
Like I've been doing this entire time, with a few exceptions, is throwing the rogues back in the air toward the back so I can keep Jared safe from us getting too much to handle.
Once Jared is safe, I will be able to finally start focusing all of my attention on killing them, and somehow killing the vampires.
With the rogues, I can kill them by snapping their necks or piercing them with something sharp. A werewolf's body is super strong and tough so it takes a lot out of me to actually break a bone or successfully end their life.

But Vampires? The only way I know for sure would be switching to my wolf form and literally tearing them apart. But if I do that, I can't use my abilities which technically makes me more vulnerable. Right?
The five rogues that I've kept at a statue form has increased to eight and the pressure is finally becoming a little too much. Before I know what's happening, I fall off balance by Jared unintentionally hitting the back on my legs. If I've learned anything about maintaining my powers, it's that I have to have a firm grip on the rest of my body as I do on my mind.
So when I get knocked out of balance, my invisible pressure comes off the rogues and they all charge me at once.
"Jared! Run!" I shift one foot forward and one back and focus on the angry rogues again. I toss two out of the way and they collide with a few other rogues emerging from the tree line. The next three I push forcefully back into the dirt. They scoot roughly against the earth, knocking over other's fighting and repetitively hitting their head and getting dirt in their eyes and mouth.
Three more are left, one lingers in the back as his other two friends circle me with envious eyes. I feel Jared's back resting against my own so that makes me feel slightly better to know he's okay. A few rogues lay dead at our feet and I have to keep myself from looking down at their cold dark eyes and getting distracted.
The rogues continue circling us, with the one watching behind them. His eyes train on me, calculating my next move but I remain in my stance watching them as well.
What are you doing? Jared's wolf is up against my back. He asks me the question with nervousness clear in his thoughts as he mind links me. More are coming. He draws out his last word emphasizing how much we will be in trouble if I don't do something.
Just wait. I say, catching my breath but try to maintain a strong exterior. I am a little weak, but it's nothing I can't deal with.
You're stronger than you know. Kelsia's words ring in my head, uplifting me and providing me the strength to keep going even in my weakest moments.
More rogues are beginning to approach as if they believe their friends have me cornered or tired. This is the time to fight, and get to safety since Theo is here. After, I figure out the vampire situation.
I place my right hand up suddenly and capture the black rogue in my grasp before he could even blink. I bring him up close to me in a matter of one second, then I use my left hand to physically grasp his neck and break it. I watch as the color drains from his eyes, but then throw him at the other two charging rogues.
The recently deceased knocks them down forcefully but they get back up quickly. Instead of focusing on me this time, their sights seem to set on Jared who is still leaning against my back as protection and to help me with balancing.
I grab Jared and twist him around just in time for a rogue to lunge, jaws wide for the kill.
Jared lets out a scared yelp at how close the rogue was, but recovers enough to actually help me out. I throw the wolf up in the air and then as fast as I could- throw it to the ground hard. It slams into the grass, making the earth slightly tremble. Jared climbs on top of the struggling wolf and ends his life quickly.

Only one is left and he seems to be watching me with a little more patience, and actually seems to roll his eyes as he glances at the dead bodies at my feet.
The rogue shifts to a human form which is much more vulnerable for him. I know who this man is. I met him at the hotel in Miami. He's the one who broke into my hotel room when I was in heat. I used my abilities on him, later he must have went to the news about it. Thankfully Drake and I were long gone. I wonder if I could successfully detach his-
"This is it. This is the time that you understand your destiny Jacqueline." The rogue says opening his arms wide in the gesture of the right here, right now. I don't know how he knows my real first name, but I shouldn't be too surprised by the information they know.
His eyes switch over to Jared who is standing to my side this time. I can feel the heat radiate off Jared as he clenches his fists and looks at the rogue hard. Just a few minutes ago he yelped out of fear, but now Jared stares at this rogue with hatred.
"And you know my destiny?" I ask the rogue cocking my head to the side, narrowing my eyes. So you came to tell me something I don't know?
"The Moon Goddess told me herself of course." He takes a step forward and I let him. He's surprised I didn't shove him back or attack him so he takes another.
"Why would she choose you to know that knowledge?" I ask simply keeping my eyes on him. Don't worry, I honestly don't believe that the Moon Goddess spoke to these rogues, but I'm keeping him busy. I've got something special for him since he didn't take my advice back at the hotel and had every intention on raping me.
He opens his arms once again but then fans it around to the fighting around us, "She knew I would change the world." His hand comes around and he points his finger at me, "She knew you would too. We are meant to make this world a brighter place together."
Okay, he's a nutcase. Jared's thoughts arrive to my own and I fight back a little laugh at the situation. I knew he was struggling with his sanity when he was debating his next moves in the hotel, but now he actually is one. Make this world a brighter place? Yeah, let's just do that together !
The rogue takes another step, but I put my hand up stopping him. I didn't stop him with my mind, he actually stopped.
"What's your name?" I ask casually. I retreat my hand back to my side and give him a slight smile.
"Chad Waverly." He introduced, bowing dramatically as if to impress me. Let me remind you of something- this man is naked. Nothing is more cringe worthy than someone bowing naked in front of you while he may be suffering from a mental health issue. I could ignore his body by focusing on his face but Chad is obviously comfortable in his body.
Jared let out a sigh under his breath basically telling me to just kill him already. Stop playing around. His voice appears in my head and I glance at Jared.
I'm getting information.
You can get said information from torturing him. Don't smile at the enemy.
I'm preserving my strength, plus this Chad guy has a weak spot for me.
Whatever, we need to get out of here before we get circled again. If you don't kill him I will. Jared is serious as he mind-links this to me.
I want to, trust me. This man needs to be put out of his misery. But I've been fighting non stop and I just wanted to try to figure out more about the rogue's plans. Chad has proved to be kinda crazy though, since he's claimed to talk to the Moon Goddess.
Right as I'm about to make a decision on how to kill this rogue, a wolf jumped above a few pack members and a rogue fighting. The large black wolf landed on the ground, growling and snapping at Chad.
The wolf stalked over to him, who looked it with surprising fear. Chad then decided he should start to change but the unidentified wolf got him first, tearing his head clean off in an instant.
It seemed pretty weird that this Chad guy went from being tough to being scared. Maybe he let his guard down because I was actually speaking with him. Maybe he thought I would protect him. Maybe he even thought we could be friends after all of this.
I honestly have no earthly idea.
"Who's that?" Jared asks clearly impressed by this random wolf's skills. I watch as the familiar wolf shakes Mr. Chad's head in its teeth. He's clearly angry, more any at this rogue than other's around it seems- since there is obviously some still breathing without a scratch on their body yet.
Before I could answer that I didn't know, I feel a hand on my arm. I spin around, shielding Jared. I put my hand up and hold whoever it is in place. Only to see Theo.
"Theo!" I let go of my hold on him and scold him for scaring me.
"Woman," Theo pauses looking at me with disapproving eyes, "What are you doing out here? You and Jared should be in the attic!" His tone is harsh and sharp as he stares at both me and Jared as if we are kids with our hands caught in the cookie jar.
"Melanie and Natalie came out, I had to come protect them." I say rolling my eyes at those girls. I wouldn't had been stupid enough to come out here and make it harder on the warriors to keep me safe if those girls would listen.
But the twins had another thing coming for them when I saw them creeping behind the house. That's when I tried keeping Jared in the attic and I would have made them all stay up there together, but Jared of course had other plans.
"Where are they now?" He asks me and Jared.
"They're safe Alpha Theo." Jared answers for him. The girls are in the attic, but Jared still refused to go back even though I knew he would climb out the window again. His way is hell bent on protecting me and his pack. He's an amazing, brave, stubborn little guy.
Theo nods and looks at me with loving eyes. He's glad I'm alright.
"Is Drake alright?" The question pops in my head and I start looking around him as if Drake would be right behind him. Instead a petite red head is there and my question fades away.
I move Theo out of the way and transform into my wolf. I hadn't shifted in a while so when I tell you my bones cracked in all the right places, they did. I felt free and powerful. I felt confident to kill her and any other vampire around. We have to protect this pack.
"JC! Stop!" Theo says before transforming into his and stepping in front of me. Why is he telling me to stop? This vampire could be with them ! The beautiful red head looks at me with curiosity as Theo keeps her from my grasp.
"I'm a friend." She says softly walking up closer to Theo and I. I watch as she keeps her eyes on me as I do her. Theo has never told me anything about a vampire friend.
The black wolf comes up to the other side of me and rubs his head on my side. I let out a low growl, confused and annoyed by this action. I don't know this wolf and I'm trying to remain focused on figuring out this vampire's intentions.
JC, she is a friend. Chill. Theo mind-links me with a harsh tone and I finally look at him. I let out a breath and turn to Jared.
Come on, we need to get out of here. There is still a lot of fighting going on around us, even though I basically tuned it out focusing on other conflicts. The pack warriors have done exceptionally well considering I only watched my back 75% of the time. I should give Jared credit too, he's been a good protector.
In my defense I honestly haven't had enough training because I've been kept up in an attic.
Jared joins me at my side and I glance back at Theo. He's watching me and his surrounding carefully. The red head starts to walk with me, but I growl aggressively at her. She retreats with a sour look on her face. "Well I am going to kill some rogues." She says to Theo who nods his head at her.
At that moment I noticed other vampires in the distance meet her as they begin joining the fight. Theo comes up behind Jared and I, so does the black wolf.
I'm not mad at Theo per say, but it would have been nice to know what's going on with the vampires. When did we make an alliance with vampires for one, where is Drake for two, and why is he the one acting like he has a stick up his butt?
The black wolf, Theo, and Jared all start fighting to clear a path back to the pack house. I help as well, but Theo gives me a warning growl any time I try to go out of my way to kill.
We manage to make it back to the pack house after a hour of fighting. A few warriors jumped in and helped protect me, but it only seems to draw more attention to me. It doesn't look like the rogues are thinning out, if anything they keep coming and coming.
We get into the pack house after Theo kills a few more rogues. Which Theo has been killing them easily with no problem. It only takes one bite, but we've needed extra help despite that.
I shift back into my human form once we get inside and cover myself up immediately with a blanket from the living room couch. Everyone else changes back as well and I turn as the boys put on their shorts that are always in a basket.
Theo comes from behind me and hugs me close to this body. "I'm going to kill them." He mumbles under his breath.
"Who?" I ask thinking about the possibilities of all the different people he could be mad at right now.
"The twins." He answers me and looks up the stairs as if expecting them to be sitting on the steps.
"We've got other problems." I say pressing my palms against his face. "Like who is that red headed bitch?!" I raise my voice pointing out the window.
Theo looks at me with surprised eyes and then takes a step back, "That's Ruby. Like I said she's a friend."
"Yeah? Well where is Drake? You were supposed to come back with him instead you come back with a vampire models! We agreed to mind link while you where there and I was here. But you never reached out to tell me that you were bring vampires back." I didn't mean to sound so angry, but I am.
Nothing has gone according to plan today, and now Drake isn't here. He's probably dead because I didn't show up to save him. This is my fault, yet again.
"Somehow we were not able to mind link. I think that when you use your abilities it blocks of your wolfs. And Ruby-" Theo makes sense. I've noticed that I can't mind link anyone when I'm using my powers. The mention of Ruby turns my attention away from that. I roll my eyes and toss my hands in the air, nearly dropping my blanket.
"RUBY? WHO NAMES A RED HEAD RUBY? LIKE CAN IT BE ANYMORE BASIC? CAN'T IT BE LIKE PATRICA OR SANDRA?" I sit down on the couch and look down at my hands. Is this what jealousy feels like?
Jealous that she clearly has eyes for my mate- yeah I saw it. Then jealousy she came back instead of Drake. Drake would be here if he was still alive. He would want to see me.
I look up to face Theo who looks at me as if I will blow up again. "I'm done. I'm sorry. I'm just upset." I look back down, feeling guilty for basically lashing out for no reason. I need to be back up in the attic, but I can't seem to want to rise from this couch.
"Good, because you were scaring me for a minute." A masculine voice says and I immediately look up to see Theo step aside and Drake stand in his place.
"DRAKE!" I exclaim and jump up to hug him. He pulls me in a tight brotherly hug that almost brings tears to my eyes. I'm so happy to see him but I know my face is red from embarrassment.
"I've literally been with you for a straight hour. You didn't even notice me." Drake pulls away and states in a offended tone, but a slight smirk on his face.
"You were the black wolf." I acknowledge putting the pieces together. I've seen Drake's wolf once, but I guess I forgot what he looked like.
"And you growled at me when I tried telling you I was okay." Drake again acts offended but I can also tell he thinks this is all funny.
"I'm sorry, today has just been one of those days." I apologize and sit back down on the couch, I glance at Theo to see him watching out the window.
"Babe, I'm sorry. I'm sure..." I pause trying to say her name but it feels like puke in the back of my throat, " Ruby is a good friend. She has to be for helping us. I shouldn't had yelled at you."
Theo directs his attention back to me and sits down on the couch. He kisses my cheek and I lean into his embrace. "You're forgiven, I know you've been under a lot of pressure since I've been gone."
I sigh, "You were gone for less than two hours and look at what's happened. People are dying."
I glance out the window and still see so much fighting going on. I'm so tired of it. I'm tired of seeing people get hurt and I'm tired of this constant circle.
