《The Tracking ✔》Chapter 25-Two in One

A couple questions. Just a couple innocent questions and I felt myself drawn to the beautiful creature on the other side of the bars from me.

Without even knowing it herself, her innocent lips bite, her eyes moving to look at every feature on my face, and the way her body sat at ease and comfortable when I entered the room, it made me just more infatuated with her.

I hate that I left, I wanted to stay but she needed to change and I needed to give her privacy. Goddess knows she will not be getting any when she gets out.

Alpha James has found a witch who is on the way to the pack. We ask her information and in return she wants some of our blood. You know, for the witchery weird stuff they do for the dead or to help them live longer. Who knows?

We are giving her human blood anyway.

"We have a werewolf here who can do things that we don't know how to make sense of. We are all hoping you can help us find out what it is."

The witch sets on the couch. Her long golden brunette hair falls down and reaches the cushion although she is setting up straight. Her eyes are pure silver and she looked at each of us as she was searching our souls.

"What can she do?" She asks no one in particular but soon centers in on me.

It is just me, James, Bethany, and JC's parents in the room. None of them have seen what JC can do. I realize that I need to tell the witch about her veins which may not earn me a lot of respect for keeping that hidden.

"I'll start in the beginning when I was tracking JC." I offered since everyone looked at me. Then I explained everything from the news to the gas station.

"Her veins- they pulsed black all the way up to her neck after she passed out. " I say reluctantly.

"You didn't say anything about that." and "Why didn't you tell us that?" are thrown at me hatefully and I put my hand up, silencing them.

"Look at where she is right now." I referred to her being in a cage like an animal. I hate seeing her in there, but I can't do anything about it. JC seems to understand that everyone is concerned. Her sanity is keeping my sanity in track. "If I had told you about it maybe nothing would have changed, but I wasn't going to risk her getting treated worse."

Bethany visibly rolls her eyes. Her attitude is it's like she knew I had been hiding a detail based on how she looked at me up and down. Then she looked at Alpha James and I could tell they are mind linking.

Jackie and Conrad just look completely blown away by the detail I added in, but stay silent.

The witch, whose name is Kelsia, is no doubt enjoying the tension that is building in the room.

"Are you JC's mother and father?" Kelsia asked Jackie and Conrad. Of course she knows, but the dramatic appeal is real for this girl. She looks interested when they both nod their head. I'm not sure if Kelsia knows what is going on with JC. Witches are pretty hard to read sometime, but they are known as dramatic creatures.

"In either of your bloodlines, was there ever a witch?" Jackie immediately shook her head no, and Conrad takes more time to think. Where is Kelsia getting to?

"My grandfather, Neal, he spent a lot of time with witches. I'm not sure why. I don't think we have it in our bloodline though." Conrad answers and rubs his palms together.

"Are you sure?" She asks like a know it all.

I clinch my fist because I feel like she is drawing this out, but it could just be where I've been gone from JC for 4 hours and I know she hasn't been visited, since only James and I go down there on his orders.

"Yes, but even if there was how would that be connected? There are rare cases of werewolves and witches being mates. When the child was born it couldn't be both a werewolf and a witch. It could only of been one thing." Conrad tries putting the pieces together , but I can tell he's confusing himself. I get what he is saying because that's what my father told me and his father told him. Whichever supernatural chromosome is stronger is what the baby will be born to be.

Biology is weird sometimes.

Kelsia stands and walks to the window, looking out. All of our eyes follow her, waiting for her to make one wrong move. It's werewolf nature to be super observant and suspicious. Ruby wasn't a problem for me because I was asking her a simple question and I knew why she wanted my blood.

With Kelsia, she may be the only one who knows the answers. She could tell us a truth or a lie. There is also where I don't know why she would want werewolf blood. I'd like to know the real reason, even though we are going to give her human blood.

"That's what most every one thinks, however that's not always the case. People are scared of the truth. JC can be both, a witch and a werewolf. A hybrid of the two. It can be a passed down from several generation, or just one." Kelsia turns to us, crossing her arms over her chest.

JC may be a hybrid? It still doesn't make sense for a few reasons.

"You chant to do spells or move objects. JC can do it without saying a word. Your eyes and veins don't turn black. JC's does. How can she be a witch too, with those differences? Maybe more?"

Kelsia rolls her eyes and sits back down. She leans forward, zeroing in on me. "You still don't get it? JC is a werewolf AND a witch. She is different than other witches and she is different than other werewolves. Her traits from both supernatural creatures will not be identical to someone who is purely one species." She pauses and looks at James and Bethany.

"She's a modified version." Conrad mumbles under his breath in disbelief. So she's stronger?

"I didn't know if JC and the rouges would be connected, but I think they are. They said they are looking for someone special, so they can start a war against every supernatural species. They want dominance."

"What could they want with JC?" Jackie asks and I see Kelsia getting uncomfortable for the first time.

"JC's blood will make the rouges unstoppable. Immortal." Everyone's face goes pale and we sit in silence for a moment. "Think about it, werewolf blood and witch blood together is magic adding so much strength. They wouldn't be able to do magic thankfully, but they would have the strength of ten werewolves, possibly more. Plus immortality. They will heal quickly and never run out of energy."

I never told Kelsia about rouges coming after JC. It does connect. Rouges becoming powerful is a nightmare, they are a probably already. If the blood makes rouges immortal, can it do the same for vampires or witches? If it makes them immortal is JC immortal? The question that still remains firstly on my mind is if JC is actually a danger to anyone.

James was evidently thinking the same thing because he asks, "How dangerous is JC? If this is true."

Kelsia shakes her head immediately. "If JC hasn't hurt anyone and she ran away to protect you all, then she is just a scared girl. Our powers as witches have to be managed correctly, like how shifting into a werewolf is. It has to be taught."

I knew JC is being too hard on herself. Maybe Kelsia can help her understand what's happening to her and how to manage it.

So I tell Kelsia that more questions need to be answered before I would consider letting her meet JC.

Conrad asks, "How come rouges are the only ones trying to get their hands on her blood? "

She answered saying, "Vampires and witches wouldn't benefit from it. Vampires have strength and immortality already. They can still be killed from a stake to the heart, but we all live in a decent harmony so that's not a problem like it was 100 years ago. Kelsia Witches don't have any desire to become stronger or immortal. They are happy with how things are. "

"Is JC immortal?" I ask since it feels important to me to know.

Kelsia is hesitant when answering this, but does. "Yes."

I could feel my head literally throbbing from so much information. My mate is going to outlive me. I will grow old and she will stay the same, beautiful as ever. My nerves are shot.

"How do we know you are telling the truth?" Jackie asked, her sad eyes glance at me.

Kelsia clears her throat, "I may very well be wrong, but I've heard about someone like JC before. The rouges were trying to get to him too. He was a hybrid."

"What do you mean "was"? I thought that they are immortal?" I ask, seeing holes in her stories.

"He put a silver knife through his own heart so they couldn't use him to take over the world. He died a hero, but the universe keeps giving it seems." Kelsia bounces her leg from the anxiety developing. We all sat in silence.

This is more serious than we could have ever imagined.
