《You're My Destiny》Chapter 38 ~ Sulking

It's night and Arjun isn't back yet. Tamizh was waiting like an eagle to hunt him down. He was angry that he was about to slap me.
"Calm down..", I said to Tamizh which he completely ignored.
"Fighting is something that is most common in marriage life. They are the one who's married and they are the one who should sort out their problems. I don't think it's a good idea to intrude in their life.", Father said and Tamizh sighed.
"So, you're saying to keep quiet when he's abusing the Princess of this kingdom. Who knows? Maybe, he's doing this because we're cholas and this dynasty is greater than his-"
"He doesn't. He is a good gentle man.", Father said.
"You're the one who convinced me to marry him. And, here you are, saying he's not perfect for me.", I said.
"If you have married that old man, you would've suffered more. Isn't it better than that life?", He was definitely justifying his words.
"Yes it is. But, is there any other way than accepting this life?"
"If we don't warm him now, he will continue to do this.", He said. I think it's definitely right about some people but about Arjun.... I can't tell it properly.
Arjun entered the house while Tamizh got up to argue. I was really scared of this even though my father is present to stop their fight.
"Why the hell did you raise your hands on her?", Tamizh asked and I looked at Arjun who was staring at me.
"Why did you tell our personal stuff to him? There's something like privacy, remember?", Arjun asked me.
"He asked me what you said in the room and I-"
"And you told him everything right? Let it be anything. Our fights, our pleasant memories everything should be private and need not be told to everyone.", He said and I agreed to it.
"Just shut up. Just because she's married doesn't mean she's not my sister. Just tell me why you raised your hands at her."
"I didn't tell or never will tell she's not your sister. We will fight and get back together later. What concerns you?", He asked and Tamizh was gritting his teeth in anger.
"Yeah you can fight but who gave you the rights to raise your hands? Remember you're at my palace. You're lucky you're a guest or I would've-"
"Tamizh, can you just stop it. You shouldn't talk like this to our guest. He's your brother-in-law for God's sake. Respect him.", Father warned him.
"So, you're problem is that I'm a guest here, right? Then I'm leaving right now!", He said and my eyes widened.
"What are you-", before I could finish my sentence, he held my hand walking towards the entrance.
"If you want to leave, leave alone. Let go of my sister.", Tamizh yelled.
"Apologise to him!", Father yelled to Tamizh.
"Father, he-"
"Let it be anything, but what you're saying to our guest is wrong. So, better apologise.", Father said.

He walked towards the place where his horse was tied.
"So we're leaving?"
"Yes, do you expect me to stay in the place where he is insulting me?"
"You said you would invite them for your crown prince ceremony. What about that? We haven't invited my family yet."
"I'm ready to invite your parents but I don't want your brother to be present there.", He said coldly.
"Don't be rude. He'll be hurt if we don't invite him. Please-"
"I don't want him to come. And, that's final."
I looked behind where father was coming towards our direction.
"I'm so sorry, Arjun. He was just a bit angry. You know he care about his sister a lot. I apologise on his behalf.", Father said.
He took a small card from the bag which was in horse and handed the card to him.
It was the invitation for that ceremony.
"You and your wife are invited to my crown prince ceremony with the exception of Tamizh and Aarthi.", He said and the next moment I was sad.
Tamizh is going to be hurt because of this and that's what bothering me.
He unleashed the horse and got in it while looking at me.
"Don't be angry. I will make him apologise. Please, come back. It's late night. Do you think it's good idea to have a long journey?"
"Yes it is.", He said.
"My dress-"
"I'll send my men to collect your things as well as mine.", He said and I looked at him in puppy eyes with a pout.
"Get in the horse.", He said and I sighed doing what he said. My father looked at me sadly so did I.
In a minute, he started riding the horse where I didn't get a chance to even bid a goodbye to my father.
He started riding the horse throughout the dark Kingdom and soon in probably less than 1 hour, we reached the border of the whole chola dynasty.
My father just holds a small part of this dynasty. I heard that the emperor of chola dynasty holds many issues. But, who cares?
All that was bothering me right now was the fight between Tamizh and Arjun.
"You're upset about me?", He asked and I hummed.
"So am I. I thought you forgave me for my mistakes. But, you still keeping it in your mind. Thank you for letting me know about that.", He said in his cold tone.
"Also thank you for letting me know that you didn't believe me when I said I didn't call your mother with names. If you don't believe me then why did you come again for me?"
He sighed and continued to ride. I wouldn't have come to my palace if I knew it won't end well.
As he continued to ride, I felt tears brimming in my eyes.
"Stop crying.", He said in an emotionless voice.
"Me crying, is none of your business.", I literally yelled.

"It is..", he muttered and continued to ride.
It was night time and the time I would usually sleep but I don't feel sleepy just because of the fight and tension I'm having right now.
"You don't feel sleepy?"
"None of your concern."
"Come on, the mistake was your brother's. You agree? Also yours. Why you have to tell everything to your brother even though you know it will end up in fighting."
That is what I'm guilty about. I shouldn't have told this to my brother. Only if I didn't, everything would've been fine right now.
We continued to ride in the horse with silence. There was an uncomfortable silence throughout the journey.
The sun rose and we still haven't reached the palace yet. I don't know how many hours more but I know I won't be able to rest well even after reaching the palace.
In few more hours, we've finally reached the palace.
"We've reached.", He talked to me after literally 9 hours. I didn't talk anything and got down the horse.
Without having a glance at him, I walked inside the palace and made my way towards my room.
I was mad at him. A lot than anyone can imagine. It's been months but still he thinks that the mistake was mine. He didn't believe me. He never did.
I slammed the door and plopped on the bed angrily. I made sure to lock the door because I'm afraid I would let out any bad word out of my mouth.
In few minutes, there was a knock on the door and I turned my face to the other side.
"Open the door. I'm tired and I have to rest."
"There is many more room left in your boring palace. Go find yourself over to rest.", I yelled.
"Don't test my patience. I insist on sleeping only in my room."
"Where were you sleeping on our first night?", I asked with a scoff.
"Do whatever you want!", He yelled and I heard his footsteps fading indicating that he left.
I took long strides towards the one of the guest room as she didn't open the door. I bumped into someone and I looked at Tharun and sighed.
"You said you're going to stay here for atleast a week, didn't you?"
"Why can't I come here before that?"
"Just asking.."
"Why is she so stubborn!?", I yelled in frustration.
"So, you got into fight with your wife.. what happened?"
"When I came back to her palace after visiting military troops along with her father and brother, we rushed to Aarthi's room as we heard the yelling sounds. We opened the door and we saw Thara beating the hell Outta her. I stopped and yelled her a bit. Then I got her back to her room and asked what happened. She said she was beating her to death just for a bracelet. Can you believe it?"
"For just a bracelet? It might be some sentimental bracelet. Then, what did you do?"
"She induced my anger and I was about to slap her. Then I realised what I was doing and left out of the palace to get some fresh breath. I came back home and her brother was insulting me so much. But, she was quite and didn't even support me. Then, I left with her back to my palace immediately. Now, tell me who's mistake was this?"
"Uhh, I don't know.. you slapped her?"
"God! I didn't. I was just about to slap her but stopped. Her brother reacted like I was about to kill her!"
"So, you're angry with her?"
"I am not. She is. I said to her father I don't want Tamizh to be in my crown prince ceremony. Since then, she was showing cold shoulder to me."
"Well, I don't know what to say. Wanna have a drink?", He asked.
"I'm going to sleep. I'm hella tired. Take care of everything till then.", I said and I left as he nodded.
I laid my head on the bed where I felt heaven. In few minutes, I dozed of to sleep.
I woke up with a pounding headache. Maybe because I was riding so long. I looked at the time and found out I slept for only 2 hours.
I woke up anyway placing my palm on my head. All I want now is a herbal tea so that I could feel better.
I opened the door and ordered a maid who was passing by to bring a cup of herbal tea. Then I left to the living room and took a seat on the silk couch.
That's when I saw her exitting her room and sitting in the farthest corner of the couch away from me.
"Please bring me some snacks..", she asked a maid and she left immediately to get her snacks.
I could clearly say she was ignoring and still is angry on me. Tharun came towards our direction and took a seat on the opposite couch cleaning his sword.
"You both still sulking at each other?", He asked with his gaze still fixed on the knife.
"Tell someone I'm never going to talk to them unless they realise what they're doing right now.", She said to him where he looked at me.
"Also Tharun, tell someone I will never give up on my ego this time. Why it has to be always me who apologises!?", I literally yelled in anger.
At the same time, the maid came back with the herbal tea where I thanked her before dismissing.
I leaned back comfortably and sipped on the tea where I felt heaven. Having a tea after a long journey is indeed good. Meanwhile, the maid came towards her handing her the snacks where she started munching it without looking at anywhere but her plate.
I turned my head to the other side and drank my tea.
"Come on, get back together like you both used to. Sometimes, life is so complica-"
"I hate hearing lectures..", I said and he stopped sighing.
