《You're My Destiny》Chapter 21 ~ I Lost Her

I started squirming. I want the watch. I can't stay in here forever and I have no idea of that.
"Leave me or I'm going to jump from the horse.", I said as I squirmed making him groan.
"Don't make me mad. It's really your good time that I'm dropping you till your palace. I can leave you right here and you'll have to walk till tomorrow to reach your palace. It's a lot miles away. Think!", He yelled.
"I said I left something in your palace which is more important to me. I want that.", I yelled.
"Don't test my patience.", He yelled at the top of his lungs. I didn't listen to him and continued to squirm. I don't have any idea of leaving that watch in his house.
"It's the last time I'm saying. Don't!", He whispered dangerously in my ear.
But, I didn't care and attempted to jump from the horse. Arjun stopped the horse and we got down. It was the same place where I was sleeping in his arms yesterday. I knew it's really very far from my kingdom.
Arjun was right. I can't reach my palace even if I walk till tomorrow. I gulped in fear. He's the person who does what he tells.
I looked at his angry face. There was a little blood in his palm. The rope cut his finger when I tried to jump from the horse. I'm sorry. I can't say anything. I feel a little guilty about it now.
"What is wrong with you!?", He shouted. With this I felt a sharp sting on my cheek. Did he just slap me!?
"Why I have to help you after what you've done? Walk till tomorrow to reach your palace.", He said climbing over the horse.
Don't leave me alone!
Before I could say anything, he turned the horse and left. Left me alone. I looked around and I couldn't see anything else other than trees.
It's a small path surrounded by forests.
I was scared. I don't know the way home. I waited in the same place hoping Arjun would come back. I stood, stood and stood. There was no sign of Arjun coming back.
It's been more than an hour and the sun was setting. I could see the beautiful view of sun setting. But, fear was only think left inside me seeing that. It will be dark soon!
He won't come back again. He left me permanently. No one's there to rescue me from this unknown place. I regret behaving to him like that.
I settled down on a rock with my knees hugging my chest.
She was making me mad again and again. She was literally testing my patience. I hate it when she does that. I hate the fact that she's so rude to my mother.
When I said I'll drop her back at her palace, she was squirming when I was riding the horse. I cut my palm on the rope when she attempted to jump from the horse.

So, I just left her there and made my way back to my palace. She knows every routes to reach her palace thoroughly which I don't have to worry.
She's good at keeping her routes at track till she can guide the person who rides.
I reached my palace and made my way inside and saw my mother still there talking to Aarthi happily. Aarthi is just doing perfectly with my mother while Thara doesn't even respect my mother as a human.
I was beyond mad when I heard that she called my mother with names. I checked it enquiring it to my trusted workers. When I heard it was true, I was really really more angry for embarrassing my mother infront of workers.
My mother and Aarthi noticed that I was home. They frowned in confusion.
"You came back so soon.."
"She was making me mad when I was riding. So I left her in halfway.", I explained as the maid handed me the tea.
"She deserve it!", Aarthi said sipping at her tea.
"She can't reach her kingdom even if she walk the whole night.", My mother said which caught my attention. Did I do something stupid?
No. Don't think like that. She can find help on the way..
"I hope she dies.", Ganga muttered under her breath.
"What!?", One death glare from me and she lowered her head.
I went back to my room and saw half of the room with her things. I looked at the kada she gifted me few days ago. I remembered the words she said to me and there was a urge of throwing her gift away. But, I couldn't.
You made me starting to hate you, Thara.
The sky was filled with thunder and lightning. It started raining in few minutes. The rain was heavy too. It made me start think about her.
A soldier knocked my room and I gestured him to come inside. He's one of my most trusted soldier and my best friend too.
"You're feeling bad about her. You're worrying about her. Aren't you?"
"Why should I worry about some cheaters like her?"
"I don't think you can sleep with the thought of her. I bet, it'll be your sleepless night today."
"I'm going to sleep peacefully today!", I yelled in frustration. I don't want to talk about her.
"Ok. Let's see if you can eat your dinner peacefully without her.", He said calmly and left.
"I will!", I yelled after he left.
Time passed and I was just having her thoughts like he said. I was getting panicked each second. The fact which makes me more nervous and panicked is it's still raining heavily with thunder and storms.
Should I go back?
I want to go back. But, my ego- She just disrespected my mother! How could I forgive her for that? I got a knock from my door. I opened it revealing Aarthi.
"It's thundering. You know I'm scared of thunder. Shall I sleep in your room now?", She asked.

"I'm irritated Aarthi. Don't be a kid and go back to your room.", I yelled in irritation. Then, I slammed the door forcefully again plopping on my bed.
I laid comfortably reaching the duvet. She would be shivering right now. Maybe, she would've got help and reached her palace through any cart.
What if she didn't?
I looked through the window and saw it was still raining heavily. I heard another knock on my door. I opened it revealing my mother. Isn't she gone yet?
"Everyone is done with their dinner. Why you didn't join us? Come on. Eat. Or I'll feel you.", She said and I don't want to hurt her.
"I will come and eat myself.", Saying this, I left to the dining hall. Her expression changed when she saw my bloodied hand.
"What happened in your hand?"
"It's just that... I got hurt when I was cleaning my sword.", I lied. She made me sit in the dining hall and dressed my wound to heal.
Then, my mother started feeding me.
"I can eat myself.."
"Your hand is hurt. Let me do it."
I constantly had thoughts of her when I was eating food. She wouldn't have eaten.. Most of the part of me was still angry at her for talking my mother like that.
"Drink water", she said keeping the tip of glass on my lips. I drank some water and I was done eating.
I went back to my room slamming the door. I laid on my bed looking out of the window where it was raining heavily. I rolled in my bed for few minutes. I couldn't sleep.
Usually I would sleep immediately once I'm laid on bed. I will be tired after every work. But now, I'm tired but I can't sleep.
Now, I know I couldn't sleep without her. What if she's still waiting where I left her? I hurried outside the palace climbing over my horse.
"Where are you going, Prince?", The trusted soldier whom talked to me in the room asked mocking.
"I'm going to get her", I said.
"It's raining and you're already drenched. I just got an information. There will be no carts going on that way because people are protesting against high tax of that kingdom and denied to run any carts or vehicles. So, there will be no transport anywhere in that kingdom. Better go get her soon."
Shit shit shit!!
I took some of my soldiers with me who were following with me in their horse. It was hard for us to ride a horse when it was raining hard with thunderstorms. We all were completely drenched.
I rode my horse at high speed to reach the place I left her. She must be there...waiting for me. Please, be there.
After few hours, it was midnight and I reached it. All the time, I was convincing myself that she would be waiting for me. But, everything vanished in a single second when I couldn't find her in the place I left her.
There was no sign of anyone.
"Maybe, some soldiers from her kingdom helped her. There's no transport in that kingdom. But, soldiers keep patrolling with their horse.", One of my soldier said.
"I will go to her palace and check if she's there. Until that, keep searching her around here.", I ordered and they nodded.
I rode my horse to her kingdom as panick was swallowing me gradually. I looked down at my kada which she gave me. I miss her..
After few hours of torturous hours of my life, I reached her kingdom. I entered the palace which was dead silent. The maids left and the soldiers let me in without asking anything.
I left my horse outside the palace, and trotted inside. I first, reached the room which used to be Thara's and found no one. There was no sign of anyone. It was kept clean and empty.
I then left to Thara's mother's room. Maybe she's there.. I entered the room to see Tamizh talking with Thara's mother. But I couldn't find Thara.
Their gaze fell on me as soon as they heard the door open.
"What are you doing here?", Tamizh asked getting up.
"Did you bring Thara with you?", I was shocked and scared hearing that.
So, she didn't come here?
"W-What?", I breathed out. Fear consuming me.
"What happened, man?", Tamizh asked constantly.
"I-I..", I don't know what to say. How would they react if I say I lost her?
"Is there any problem?", Tamizh asked with seriousness plastered on his face. I felt a tear slip down my cheeks. They were shocked. I've never cried infront of anyone.
"I thought she reached your palace.", I said as I don't know what else to say.
"What?", Tamizh asked confused.
"What happened to her?", Thara's mother attempted to get up panicked.
"Mother. I will talk to him. Please don't strain yourself.", He soothed her and came out of the room with me closing the door.
"What did you do my sister?", He whisper yelled.
"I lost her", I said lowering my head.
His eyes widened and grabbed my collar giving me a death glare.
"What!?"
"I didn't mean to. I left her on halfway and I thought she would knew all the routes back to your palace.."
"She knew all the routes. She's always thorough with her routes. It means, you left her somewhere intentionally.", He said.
"H-How would I do that?", My voice broke.
"Then, how does she not know the routes? She's always thorough with every routes and shortcuts. You did something to her. Or did Aarthi do something? Or your mother?"
"Don't involve my mother. Your sister was the one who called my mother with names!", I yelled.
"Liar", he yelled back.
I grabbed his collar and pinned him in the wall.
"Do I look like I'm lying, fool?", I yelled.
