《The Bad Boy And The Jock [BoyxBoy]》6 - Like A Date
Advertisement
Isaac hadn't spoken to Jake in a week. Not that he was counting. The last time Isaac had seen him was when Jake had his tongue down Isaac's throat, not that Isaac was complaining. It was throwing Isaac off how desperate he was to see Jake. Isaac wasn't that person and in the space of a week, Jake fucking Harden had turned Isaac into that person, it was equal parts frustrating and odd. What made it especially odd, was that Isaac didn't seem to have a problem with it. Isaac was a desperate slut for Jake Harden and Isaac was so fine with that. What had the world come to? Isaac had a sneaking suspicion his friends were aware of how whipped he was, and that was not a good thing.
It was a Wednesday, which meant that today was the day where Isaac and his friends waited for Kaya after school, she was head of the student council and had meetings after school every Wednesday. It was very annoying because Wednesday after school was their day, the six of them would go get food and chill for however long they want. It was a tradition that had been in place since they were eleven, but now they had to wait for shitty student council to finish. Kaya the bitch, refused to change the days, telling them something about commitment and how they should all try it some time. Isaac honestly didn't know what she was talking about, Isaac was committed to their Wednesday tradition.
Isaac was bored, the others were too. They had been waiting for what felt like forever, but it had probably been about half and hour. Benji was getting twitchy, he had the munchies and waiting for Kaya was slowly killing him. Gabby had given him half a ham sandwich she didn't eat a lunch, which he begrudgingly accepted it. It wasn't enough though, he wanted greasy pub food and sitting around waiting for Kaya was not getting him what he wanted.
"Can we just leave without her?" Benji asked, pulling the sleeves on his hoodie down over his hands.
"No, we can't. You know that." Freddy told him, crossing his arms over his chest, looking like a dad scolding his child. Let's be real, Freddy is the dad of the group.
Benji rolled his eyes, "Why don't you wait for her and we go?"
Gabby giggled the look Freddy gave Benji, who in turn, offered him a cheeky smile.
Gabby turned to face me, smiling, "What I want to know is, how are you and Jake?"
Here we go, Isaac thought bitterly. Everyone was suddenly looking at Isaac, including Benji. Isaac could feel his cheeks heating up at the attention as well the questioning. Isaac shrugged, trying to play it cool, but he knew he failed and Benji, the snake he was, didn't help Isaac's case either.
"He's totally in love him. He told me and Kay." Benji told everyone, grinning like a fool, suddenly forgetting he had a serious case of the munchies. Gabby awed, Caggie snorted and Freddy suddenly looked disappointed in Isaac.

"I'm not in love with him." Isaac mumbled, turning slightly away from everyone, trying to hide his blush.
This time Benji was the one who snorted and made a whipping sound, which had Isaac flipping him the finger to. Caggie laughed at Isaac's reaction, so Isaac flipped her the bird too. Freddy stopped pacing the hallway and fell down next to Isaac on the floor. Isaac knew straight away he was about to get a lecture. Bracing himself for the lecture from Freddy, Isaac turned to face Freddy who was already opening his mouth, only to be interrupted by the student council leaving the room. Freddy frowned at stood up, Isaac following suit.
Kaya came fumbling out of the meeting, looking very dishevelled. Some boy, Isaac was sure was at least two years younger than them, was talking at Kaya very aggressively. She looked fazed and her bottom lip was pulled in between her teeth which meant only thing, that she was seconds away from crying. Automatically, Freddy, Benji and Isaac were walking forward to Kaya with Gabby and Caggie following behind. The presence of the three boys was enough to make the boy harassing Kaya, stop and frantically say goodbye. Isaac went to ask if she was okay, but Alice, the girl who had been asking about Benji, came up behind Kaya.
Touching Kaya's shoulder, making Kaya jumped, Alice started to talk, "Don't worry, Kaya, I'm sure everything will calm down before next week. You know how Travis gets."
Kaya nodded softly, her bottom lip still in between her teeth, Isaac somehow sensed that Alice wasn't be nice because the looks Caggie and Gabby were throwing her were not nice looks. Isaac threw a quick look to Freddy who had already picked up on the vibes the girls were sending and was looking at Alice with suspicious eyes. Benji, however, was looking at Alice like how he looked at cheeseburger when he had the munchies. Kaya noticed this, and she looked like seconds away from crying.
"Hi, I'm Benji." Benji said, introducing himself to Alice, who was giving all her attention to Benji now. She practically shoved Kaya out the way. Freddy shot a glare in Benji's direction before pulling Kaya away from the two. Freddy shot Isaac a look over his shoulder that said, fix this otherwise I'll hit him. Isaac nodded and watched as four of his best friends walk away, Gabby turning her head every now and then to shoot Alice a glare.
Isaac stepped forward into Benji's space as Alice laughed at Benji, "Benj, mate, we gotta go."
Alice shot Isaac a disapproving look, "Shit, yeah, I'm coming, meet you outside. Give me a second to say bye to Alice."
Isaac nodded, not liking his one bit. He turned around, blocking the sound of the bullshit heterosexual flirting that was going on behind him. He slowly walked down the school hallways knowing Freddy would have a fit if Isaac turned up without Benji. Isaac was just about to walk out the door to the car park, when Benji caught up with him. Benji started to ramble on about how he had gotten Alice's number and that he should have listened to Kaya ages ago. They walked outside to see Kaya standing in the middle of a circle comprised of their friends. Caggie was rubbing her back softly in a comforting way, while she told them what was obviously wrong. Benji rushed over to them, Isaac couldn't help but think mixed singles, but he didn't say anything and joined his friends.

"You okay?" Isaac asked, when he reached his friends.
Caggie moved over slightly so Isaac could join in with their little circle, "Just a bad meeting, no one was agreeing on anything and then they were taking it out on me. It doesn't matter anymore, let's go eat. I want a massive cheeseburger." Kaya tried to smile, it looked more like a grimace.
The six of them took off down the road to the pub that sat on the corner of street. It was a pub that become the pillar for all the Sixth Form students who went to their school. Prime location for a bunch of eighteen year olds to get smashed after school. Isaac was positive that their friendship group was the reason that, that pub was still afloat. They spent way too much time there.
Once they were at the pub, they filed in and sat down at their designated table which was in the corner, away from the rest of the seating. They ordered their drinks and food, now they were waiting. It was a sort of awkward tension that Isaac did not like. Freddy was pissed off with Benji for getting Alice's number and talking about it in front of Kaya. Kaya despite saying she was fine still looked close to tears. Isaac to be honest just really wanted his food and maybe some light-hearted conversation with his friends.
Kaya hadn't really said much, since they sat down, Benji and Caggie had been the main contributors to the conversation. Freddy threw an arm around her shoulder, rubbing small circles into her shoulder and Benji being the idiot he was had to mention it.
Benji leaned over to Isaac, "Are we sure they aren't dating?" He tried to be quiet, but it was Benji and he was never quiet.
While Kaya started to protest, it was Freddy that surprised everyone, "I'm seeing someone and it's not Kaya."
To say this was new information was an understatement. Isaac choked on air, Caggie literally snorted the drink she was drinking, Gabby looked up from her phone to gawp at Freddy, Benji stared at Freddy and Kaya laughed like she knew and was surprised he was finally telling them. Isaac couldn't believe it, Freddy was seeing someone and didn't tell him. Isaac was his best friend and he was very offended that Freddy hadn't told him about it. Freddy didn't date, Freddy didn't do anything and the fact he was telling everyone meant that it was serious, it was giving Isaac a headache.
"Who the fuck are you seeing?" Caggie asked, if Caggie didn't know, then no one knew. They lived together.
"Someone." Freddy shrugged, "It's complicated and that's all I'm saying."
Everyone started to protest, but Freddy wasn't having it. He ignored everyone's questions and slipped on his drink, "Oh look here comes loverboy."
Isaac's head turned, quicker than he would've liked. He watched as Jake walked into the pub with his football mates, Isaac tried to resist the urge to roll his eyes at Elliot walking in alongside Jake. Isaac tried to really resist the urge to punch Elliot in the face as Jake threw his head back laughing at something Elliot said. Isaac wasn't jealous, why would he be? It's not like he hadn't seen Jake in a week. Oh, wait he hadn't.
Isaac was lucky enough to catch Jake's eye, and when Jake smiled at him, Isaac wanted to die. He grinned back at Jake, he sent him a wink just for good measure, only to be bitterly disappointed when Elliot stole Jake's attention back. Isaac turned back around, sulking slighting, he really was starting to hate Elliot. Benji made a whipping noise as Isaac downed the rest of his drink. Then, excused himself to go get himself another drink.
He was standing at the bar, when a hand came a fell on his waist. He was smiling before he even turned to see who it was. He knew who it was. He turned his head to look over his shoulder, a coy smile of his face, "Miss me?"
Jake laughed, "You know it. You miss me?"
"Of course, thinking about you all week. I think you ruined boys for me." Isaac teased, resting his head on his hand and staring at Jake, who's hand was still on his waist.
Jake blushed slightly, "Pretty bold claim, I'm starting to feel pressured."
"You keep kissing me like you did last week, and you have nothing to worry about." Isaac had to hold back the moan at the thought of how Jake had been with him last week. Pressing him up against the car and taking control. Isaac usually was the one in control and Jake had came in and switched it up, Isaac wasn't mad at it either. He kind of really liked it. "Let me take you out tonight."
"Like on a date?" Jake asked, hope filling his eyes.
"Yeah like a date, but a secret date because you're in the closet."
"I'd like that."
