"Can you smell that?" Liana asked as she walks carefully through the forest the day after the full moon, with Rick, following her as Maddy, Rhydian, Tom and Shannon had already limped off to Bernie's since Tom had hurt his leg.

"There is two female wolfbloods out here." Rick murmured and Liana was nodding slightly, as she looked over at the broken branches and he sighed a bit. "Is there something that is missing from my knowledge?" He asked as she sighed and nodded slightly.

"One of these scents, I recognize as the wild wolfblood that almost killed Rhydian and I both but that was a few good months ago now." Liana said as she looked around as they both stood stock still with Rick still half-crouched in the dirt as he was looking for prints in the dirt.

A branch cracked and Rick stood up slowly, as he flexed his fingers and his veins were showing. "Don't make us do somethin' that we don't want to do." He advised and when they heard twigs snapping, Liana grabbed Rick's arm without thinking and Rick said nothing, as he simply moved his hand so that she was not crushing his arm and rather his hand instead.

"Do you really not remember me? You used to try and give me, all sorts of the stupid bloody dating advice." It was a younger female voice as Liana looked around.

"Where are you hiding out now, my old friend?" Liana asked and she took her hand back, and she spun around swiftly.

Her fist hit Natalia squarely between the eyes and the other girl yelled in a sudden shout of pain, and she backed up real quick and her vision had gone blurry. "I bloody missed you too." The girl grumbled and Liana sighed softly, as she shook her head.

"What the bloody hell were you thinking?" Liana mumbled as she helped Natalia up onto her feet and the other girl was brushing off her clothing. "Rick, this is Natalia. Natalia, this is Rick." Liana introduced as Rick saluted casually to Natalia who looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Why are you looking at me right now, like I am your freaking eighth grade science project?" Rick asked as Natalia shook her head.

"You were the gray wolf then. The massive one on the full moon, last night out on the moors, right?" She asked and Rick growled at her, as Liana sighed and shook her head at the two and they were growling at one anther.

"All right, enough." Liana ordered and they both looked at her in surprise. "I mean it, all right, just stop with all the bloody growling." She said and the two stopped, reluctantly it looked like and Rick shrugged. "Rick, go and check on Tom and the others." She suggested to him with the tone of voice, that clearly stated that it was not even remotely a suggestion at all.

Rick growled quietly, before he raced off directly through the woods towards the nearest run path to Bernie's through the woods on the old gravel road. "An American wolfblood? No wonder I can smell it on you." Natalia said and Liana shook her head as she shoved her old friend hard, as they walked through the woods. "The smell of excitement, wood and--"

"All right, I get it." Liana muttered under her breath, as her ears were turning red with embarrassment and Natalia stood up with a smile, as she continued to walk with her friend.

"So you live out here now. With a foster family?" Natalia asked as Liana shook her head.

"I got lucky, Nat. I got adopted by a family of wolfbloods." Liana said and Natalia smiled a little for her, but her friend saw the sadness. "Are you still bouncing around in the system?" She asked and Natalia nodded.

"I live in Newcastle. Not too far from here, actually." Natalia admitted and Liana sniffed the air, stopping at once when she scented the other wolfblood in the area. "Liana, there is something that you should know about the wolf that you can smell..." Natalia spoke up too late as Natalia snarled and lunged forward, racing at Ceri as a wolf and the two clashed in a fierce fight.

"Ceri is your mum!" Natalia shouted out of sheer desperation to stop their fighting and Liana yelped in shock, as she staggered backward and Natalia sighed. "She raised me as her own in the wild pack. Up until my own mother gave me up, so that my brother or sister would be the next ones in line and nobody else." Natalia admitted and Liana stood up in human form as she leaned against a tree with terrified eyes, and she looked like she was about to be sick.

Ceri rose up in human form and Liana was growling savagely at her. Liana snapped her teeth at Ceri, who got the message to back off real quickly and Liana was growling.

"You tried to kill me and my friends!" Liana choked out as she was growling through her teeth at Ceri, but she was also keeping back tears and pain from erupting out into the world around her as she snarled.

"I simply wanted to find you and your brother!" Ceri protested and Liana growled in a seething fury. Ceri said and Liana stopped at the name, as she looked at her mother over her shoulder and she shook her head.

"I don't care. Stay away from me." Liana growled savagely and without hesitation, she took off and she bolted off running through the woods, as she wiped at her eyes and she raced off back to the Smiths, not wanting to see anyone else and she ran through the door and went straight up the stairs.

Mrs. Smith called up the stairs, but Liana ignored her as she slammed the door behind her and she shook her head, as she saw Natalia at the window and Liana growled at her old friend.

"Look, I didn't know that you had been attacked by Ceri!" Natalia pleaded for Liana to understand and Liana was snarling at her savagely. "I didn't know!" Natalia was almost crying and Liana shook her head at her.

"Get out." She growled and Natalia looked at her with pain in her eyes and her phone beeped in her pocket. "Go on. You have your mate to get back to, don't you?" Liana said it like an insult and Natalia was crying silently as tears fell, but Liana didn't move from her firm position and Natalia leapt out of the window and took off running again.

Mrs. Smith said and Liana was silently looking over her shoulder at the woman who had practically been the first real mother that she had in her life of foster parents and potential adoptions.

"She brought my volatile, wild wolfblood mother onto our territory. She should know the rules by now." Liana growled as she sat on her bed and she stayed there in silence, looking at a couple of the pictures on the mantle, that she had of her and Natalia with a small sigh. "Damn my bloody conscience." She cursed as she leapt out of her window and landed running, as she raced after her friend.

Liana pulled out her phone and dialed a number real quickly.

Rick said through the phone and Liana growled.

"How quickly can you get to the road between Stoneybridge and Newcastle?" Liana asked and she heard him shuffling around, before she heard running footsteps. "I'm on my way. We're trying to stop--"

"The girl from earlier who you called an old friend?" Rick asked as Liana reached the road and found that he was already standing there casually, with Natalia growling, but she was either all too unwilling or unable to get around Rick, who seemed to be moving when she did. "There you go." He said and Natalia was snarling, as he gestured at her.

"Why did you bring her here?" Liana asked as she looked at Natalia, who growled at her.

"Why do you care? You hate me for it anyways." Natalia snapped and Liana shook her head at her, as Natalia growled quietly. "If I brought Ceri to Stoneybridge, she swore that the wild pack would leave me alone. I wouldn't have to go back, my mother would not come running into the city to drag me back and neither would me siblings." She muttered and Liana nodded, as Rick moved to the side and Natalia stood up as she looked at Liana. "That's it?" She questioned and Liana nodded.

"You should bring the city wolfbloods out here one day." Liana pointed out and Natalia chuckled, as she nodded and Natalia bolted off running down the road and Liana shook her head with a laugh. "She is still bloody faster than me and I hate it." She muttered and Rick shrugged at her.

"You can't win every battle." Rick pointed out and they heard loud howling from down the road and Liana chuckled as Rick tipped his head back to howl and soon Liana followed, as their howls echoed down the road to where Natalia was running with a smile on her face.
