《Percy Jackson X Reader》Chapter 14

Percy squeezed your shoulder and then stood up, facing Annabeth. You stood and faced her too. Her arms were blistered and she looked in a lot of pain. "Annabeth, I'm sorr-"
"How dare you? How dare you? Once we destroyed the Olympians' seats of power, Kronos was to find a better body and Luke and I would be sitting at his right side! You were supposed to die, Y/n. If you had actually come to eat in the Dining Pavilion, my poison would actually have killed you! You and your stupid soulmate bond with Percy made it almost impossible for him to be fully obsessed with me like he was supposed to and was up until you came along. I was supposed to be the greatest ever, but you had to come along and ruin everything-" Annabeth lunged at you, but was suddenly bound in golden chains and gagged. You turned to see Hestia by the fire with her arm outstretched. You fell to your knees.
"Thank you, Lady Hestia."
Hestia just smiled.

You had gotten the blessing of Athena from Athena as an apology for Annabeth's treatment towards you and were asked to help with redesigning and rebuilding Olympus. Percy was now being offered immortality and you looked at the ground. The selfish part of you wanted him to refuse, but the other part of you knew that this was an honour that Percy could not turn down.
"No." Your head jerked up in surprise.
"You are turning down our generous offer?" Zeus had a dangerous edge to his voice.
"I'm honoured and everything, don't get me wrong. It's just... I've got a lot of life left to live. I'd hate to peak in my sophomore year. I do want a gift though, do you promise to grant my wish?"
Zeus pondered for a moment. "If it is within our power."

"It is. And it's not even difficult, but I need your promise on the River Styx."
"What? You don't trust us?" Dionysus was not happy.
"Someone once told me you should always get a solemn oath." Percy looked at Hades and the Lord of the Dead shrugged.
"Guilty."
"Very well! In the name of the council, we swear on the River Styx to grant your reasonable request as long as it is within our power. Thunder rumbled as the other gods muttered their agreement.
"From now on, I want you to properly recognize the children of the gods. All the children... of all the gods."
Hestia by the hearth smiled while the rest of the gods were stunned.
"Percy," Poseidon began. "What do you mean?"
"Kronos couldn't have risen if it hadn't been for a lot of demigods who felt abandoned by their parents, they felt angry, resentful, and unloved, and they had a good reason."
Zeus's royal nostrils flared. "You dare accuse-"
"No more undetermined children," Percy said. "I want you to promise to claim your children-all your demigod children by the time they turn thirteen. They won't be left out in the world on their own at the mercy of monsters. I want them claimed and brought to camp so they can be trained right, and survive."
"Now, wait just a moment," Apollo said.
"And the minor gods," Percy continued. "Nemesis, Hecate, Morpheus, Janus, Hebe--they all deserve a general amnesty and a place at Camp Half-Blood. Their children shouldn't be ignored. Calypso and the other peaceful Titan-kind should be pardoned too. And Hades-"
"Are you calling me a minor god?" Hades bellowed.
"No, my lord, but your children should not be left out. They should have a cabin at camp. Nico has proven that. No unclaimed demigods will be crammed into the Hermes cabin anymore, wondering who their parents are. They'll have their own cabins for all the gods. And no more pact of the Big Three. That didn't work anyway, you've got to stop trying to get rid of powerful demigods and instead we should train and accept them. All the children of the gods should be welcomed and treated with respect. That is my wish." Percy's wish was very big and probably hard.

Zeus snorted. "Is that all?"
Poseidon looked warningly at Percy. "Percy, you ask much and presume much."
"I hold you to your oath, all of you." Percy's voice was firm. The gods glared at him, the request not seeming popular at all.
"The boy is correct," Athena said suddenly. "We have been unwise to ignore our children. It proved to be a strategic weakness in this war and almost cost us our destruction. Percy Jackson- I had my doubts about you, but there is a chance that I was wrong. I move that we accept the boy's plan."
Zeus harrumphed. "Being told what to do by a mere child, but I suppose..."
"All in favour?" Hermes started the vote and all gods raised their hands.
"Um, thanks." Percy looked relieved.
*time skip*
Back at camp, you remembered that it was August 18th, Percy's birthday. At least, that's what Grover told you. You rushed to Bunker 5 and made some blue cookies. Putting the cookies in a bag, you hurried off to find Percy. You went all over camp, but couldn't find him. You decided to try one more place, the dock.
Walking to the dock, you saw Percy sitting there. "Hey, happy birthday!"
He turned in surprise. "Y/n?"
You sat next to him, holding out the cookies. "Grover mentioned that your birthday was August 18th, I just forgot because of the war." He took the cookies, looking touched.
"Thanks." He handed some cookies to you and then took some for himself. You both watched the sun inch closer and closer to the horizon.
The two of you finished the cookies in not comfortable or uncomfortable silence. Just silence.
"Hey, Y/n. I'm sorry for not believing you about Annabeth." You turned to Percy.
"It's ok, she put on a good show for you."
"So, um..."
"Yes?" You turned your torso to face him and he blushed.
"You're not making this easy."
"Who said life was easy?"
"Touchè. When I was going into the River Styx, Nico told me to focus on the mortal world and when I was thinking about the offer of immortality..."
You nudged his shoulder. "So you were thinking about it."
"Well who wouldn't, but I thought of you both times. Something Annabeth said before Hestia stopped her was that we had a soulmate bond."
"Maybe we do, I mean your sword was perfectly balanced for me."
"Yeah, I guess."
You leaned in and pecked his lips. "I'm ok with being soulmates with you." Percy looked shocked, but then leaned in to kiss you again; but before he could, the two of you heard laughter and footsteps; and then were shoved into the lake. Percy grabbed you around the waist and formed a bubble around the two of you.
"They know I'm a son of Poseidon, right?"
"Well I know and I'm thankful." He finally pulled you into another kiss.
When the two of you finally surfaced, there was no one on the dock and the moon was high in the sky. Percy wrapped an arm around you and kissed your forehead. "Come to my cabin tonight?"
"Cuddles?"
"Yep." The two of you walked to the Poseidon Cabin and fell asleep in each other's arms.
