• Recap •
We were at the top looking at the beautiful skyline when I heard something that made me shudder.
"You didn't really think it was over, (Y/n)? Happy endings are just bullshit for kids, this is reality."
•••
I whipped around only to see nothing.
"Something wrong, (Y/n)?" Percy asks nervously.
I shook my head hastily, "you didn't just hear-- never mind this date is really awesome, thanks Percy." I smiled reassuringly and kissed him.
He shrugged it off and continued to look at the sky. "Oh! I almost forgot," he said startling me. "I got you something!"
"Oh Percy! You shouldn't have!" I said blushing.
"But I wanted to." He said covering my eyes, "close your eyes." He removed his hands but my eyes remained closed. Suddenly I felt something cold touch my neck. "You can open now."
I looked down to see a small blue crystal teardrop shaped pendent on a sliver chain. A weird feeling washed over me as I ran my fingers across the beautifully cut stone. I glanced at Percy who was smiling.
The necklace looked worn and used, like something that's been passed down, "is this an heirloom?"
Percy looked confused for a moment that I didn't catch, "uh, yeah..." He said uncertain then added very brief, "dad's side."
"Poseidon's?" I asked, "cool." I remarked dazed.
Then what happened next was really weird. I can't exactly explain what happened to each intricate detail but...
I started to move without any consent of my mind. Percy smiled and his eyes flashed, is everything okay? I tried to say but no words came out. I felt myself stay the same. What's happening? I again tried to ask but nothing happened.
Percy looked at me still beaming.

"Ready to go?" He asked.
No! I need to be fixed! "Sure, Perce, what ever you want." I whispered.
He looked at me, "(Y/n) are you okay?" He asked no concern in his voice. No! I'm not okay!
I shyly nodded, "I'm perfect." When the frick did I get so shy?!
"C'mon then," he said then iris messaged Nico to bring us back. Nico just grunted before slashing through the connection and seconds later he was beside us.
Nico! Help! I screamed inside of my head. He looked over at me with a bit of worry.
"Let's go." He muttered before shadows eats us once more. We were spit out into the grass by Thalia's tree.
"I'm going to go, Percy." I said then turned to kiss him. He snaked his arms around me and leaned into it. Our chests were pressed together. What the frick is happening?! This is not how I imagined this date to go... Nico, help me! Stop! No don't walk away just because I'm making out with Percy! Come back here young man! Ugh.
I pulled away and started walking back to my cabin when I was stopped by Piper. "I thought we were friends!" She yelled, angry tears streaming down her face. What? "Why the hell did you spread those rumors about me?! They aren't-- they aren't true." She said before running back to her cabin. What happened?! Piper wait! I didn't do anything!
My possessed self decided to choose something else to say, "sorry you're a bitch Piper, but I don't tell lies."
She slammed the door to her cabin.
You're such an idiot, possessed (Y/n)! Get some manners!
I walked back to my cabin and laid on my bed reading a fashion magazine. As my eyes scanned the bright colorful pages I was internally barfing. How to get your crush to like you in 24 hours?! Bwhahaha like that'll work! Fashion that's dirt cheep but looks designer?! Liars the price tag for all of these outfits are still 100 dollars!

I saw Will come into the cabin. "Hi, (Y/n), how was your date?" He asked politely.
My possessed self snarled, "just go away, stupid mortal."
Will sputtered before turning and leaving the cabin.
Since the cabin was empty my self moved to the mirror. In the mirror I saw myself and I almost screamed bloody murder... but of course nobody would've been able to hear me because I'm trapped in my own body.
My face was covered in makeup and glitter... Ew... Oh and my neck was burning red. It looked like a burn. The red burn was spreading across my chest the deepest red around my necklace. What is happening?
I looked at myself again but all I saw was a blur except red. Blazing red everywhere. I wanted to scream in pain but my body continued to stare into the mirror with a smile.
And then it was like I had broken.
I suddenly had control over my body. But it wasn't the same. My thoughts were clouded and all I could see was red. I collapsed to the ground clawing at my neck desperately trying to remove the necklace.
"Help!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I looked at my hands that were tipped with my own blood. I started crying.
What's happening to me.....

Surprisingly, in the fantasy LitRPG genre. A girls death forms the foundation for a plan centuries in the making. But when she shakes off their control, and forces the plans of beings millenia old to change, can she avoid being tied up as a loose end? With only what she could take with her in her mind, and a new body with surprising depths, she begins her new life in a world unlike her own. This is my first writing project in almost a decade, so there is going to be a lot of improvements from me as I shake off the rust. And of course, as the world I'm creating comes to life! So if you like the concept, please bear with me, and hopefully I'll reach the high standards I know you have. Edit (04/04/2018): Witness the power of my complete lack of any artistic talent! There is now cover art for this fiction. Its just barely better than the default, but hey, minimalism is in, right?

Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.
8 157In the Light of His Infernal Fire
"It is said that at the night of Walpurgis, the barrier in between worlds is at its weakest. However, for Kyouko and other Magical Girls at Mitakihara, the situation got out of control much sooner as forces from beyond their universe started to creep in to change their fate forever. Beyond the veil of reality, the Dragon stirs, seeking to increase his growing hoard - not with gold or gems, but with people and worlds. Incubators played with magic and fate for far too long uncontested, and a little Blue Planet may be a new prize in the game." Disclaimer: Puella Magi Madoka Magica crossover with Original Setting. I don't own Puella Magi Madoka Magica or its spin-offs. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
8 196A Bard's Tale
A life is measured not in minutes alone, but in the time one spends as 'happy'. For Gage Gauner, unfiltered bad luck, a complete lack off respect from his peers, and near-incompentcy in every field... It's not the worst life. Not to him. However, a cheating, abusive spouse, the loss of his only supporter through Alzheimer's, and the betrayal of a friend are enough to make the man take a trip to a tall bridge. He never intended to fall. He never wanted to die, even with life landing him in front wall after wall after wall. It was never Gage's intention to take his own life, but it all amounts to the same thing; Hour of introspection at the bottom of a river. Journey along with a hopeless romantic hell-bent on making his second chance count. After all, a life is truly measured in the happiness one achieves through their own power.

8 94Condemned (Old)
“The human body is a fragile thing. But the soul... The soul is malleable. Easily tainted. All it takes is one drop of blood to dye it all red.” It was supposed to be a simple job. Escort Alden to Lightendale and collect the handsome reward. The reward that would let him live the rest of his life with ease. But it’s never that simple, especially for someone who denies the Gods. Death follows Leor everywhere he goes, cutting down his friends and family. When his first love died at the hands of a rampaging Awakened, he was prepared to throw everything away until a mysterious voice offered him a chance for revenge and a chance to bring her back by completing the seven trials. He wants to destroy the Gods who abuse their powers, but will he team up with a Goddess to accomplish his goal? UPDATE (10/18/21): I will no longer be updating this version of the story. Thank you all who actually liked this version, but this version does not sit well with me anymore. I have an updated version called: Condemned: Tale of Light. Please read this story on that fiction page instead. I changed many things. Thanks again for reading. I hope to see you on the new version. I'll leave this old version up for people to compare with the new one. Like a public first first draft. -Ando
