It hadn't been minutes after my conversation between Hades that Nico arrived.
In fact he arrived in a mass of shadows which scared the schist out of me when I was taking a walk in the woods. About the woods, apparently most of the demigods requested some safe monster free trails in the woods, and with the help of some gods they made a nice trail through the woods.
"Ahhhhh!" I screamed as a cloud of shadows surrounded me. When the shadows cleared a boy was standing there.
He kind of just stared at me and I stared at him. He had dark black hair, olive skin, and his outfit choice was not what I would've choosen. Shut up, Aphrodite.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"I'm (Y/n)..." I said hesitantly.
"Nico," He said.
"Okay, so you're the one Hades was talking about." I said with an oh.
"And you're the one Hades was talking about." Then we started walking back towards camp.
"So, you're a son of Hades?" I asked trying to make conversation.
He looked at me as if he was analyzing me. "Are you a goddess?" He asked abruptly.
I inhaled a sharp breath. "W-what?"
"Are you a goddess?" He asked slowly.
"What would make you think that?"
"I-- nevermind." He said.
Looks like we both have a secret then.
"How could you tell?" I asked quietly.
"So you are?" He asked.
I didn't respond.
He sighed. "After the Giant War I seemed to have inherated some type of power."
"What type of power?"
"Well, it's not really a power... It's more like an ability."
"Yeah? So what does it do?"
"It lets me see people's auras and I can now also sense people's feelings."

"That's really awesome!" I said.
"You-- you can't tell anyone." He said hastily.
"Why are you telling me?"
"Because... Hmm, I wonder why I am telling you..." He siaid laughing.
I laughed, "okay, so a secret for a secret I suppose. Well--" I stopped myself short remembering what the prophecy and the fates said, the fall of Olympus depends on the knowledge of others. But, Zeus had told Chiron...
"(Y/n), are you okay?"
"I suppose you sense my feelings right now," I said.
He nodded, "what's wrong?"
"It's nothing." I said. "But, yeah, I'm a goddess. But you can't tell anyone."
"A secret for a secret. If I tell yours you can tell mine. And if you tell mine I can tell yours." He said and we shook hands. But still, he didn't understand what was on the line with my secret.
We walked out of the woods and towards the eating pavilion.
"Nico?!" I heard someone yell. Nico and I both turned around. Will was running towards him. Nico was blushing.
"Hi, Will." Nico said smiling.
Will hugged the boy. "You've been gone too long!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah--" Nico said but was cut off by Will kissing him.
And then there I was standing there awkwardly, so naturally I started walking away.
"Percy, Nico's here!" I said.
Percy gave a weird smile. "Okay, what's your problem with Nico? He's a nice guy."
"It nothing." Percy insisted.
It was obviously not nothing. And I concluded to myself that it was much more than their history together.
"Why can't you tell me?"
"Because it doesn't matter anymore."
"It obviously does because you're still annoyed with him or whatever."
"No," he protested. "I'm not."

"Yes you are." I said heatedly.
"No, I'm not. Why can't you drop it, (Y/n)?"
"Because it's going to effect me on the quest if you guys can't get along and I'm going to be stuck in the middle."
"Well, what's the difference going to be when I tell you?" He asked.
"Whatever," I said then rolled my eyes.
"Are you hungry?" He asked changing the subject.
I didn't respond but I started walking angrily towards the basket of fruit. Percy hurried in front of me. He started to pick an apple to give to me.
"Don't you dare touch my apple." I threatened. Picking an apple and biting into it.
