《Unleashed ↠ Elijah Mikaelson》33

"Uugh" Cassandra groaned as she woke up her face buried in her pillow. She didn't want to really take her face away, for she'd see something other than nothing, she'd be brought back into the world she left a few hours ago.
But she had to, eventually. Cassie spun around and looked up at the ceiling, her neck throbbed with the pain of it being snapped, though it was healed, it still hurt like hell.
"You're up" the woman's voice kind of surprised her, causing Cassandra to sit up and see who was there. Freya, the Mikaelson sister, stood with her arms folded by the door. That's strange, of all the people to be around her, to lecture her, she thought it would have been Elijah.
"You're alone?" Cassandra asked in return, looking the woman up and down, seeing how the door was closed and locked. She raised an eyebrow "a mortal witch, risks her life by licking herself in the lion cage"
"im perfectly capable of protecting myself against you, you're so predictable, I can see your every move" Freya retrieved the doll from her pocket "plus we need to have a very serious talk"
Cassandra was sick of the sight of that doll, it made her weak, and she hated feeling weak. Cassie bit her lip harshly, causing it to bleed and then heal. "What about?"
"I found the doll, next to your body, without Elijah, he's not answering any of his calls nor is he anywhere where I can trace him" Freya explained "I'd like to know what happened?"
"How should I know?" Cassie asked, feeling her heart stop at the news of Elijah's absence. But she had to be strong, why should she care? He was going to kill her anyway? "He snapped my neck, I would have thought he would have taken me back and waited to tell me off"

"Well, I sure hope you have some ideas or else your brain will turn to liquid, in 3,2,1" Freya jabbed her finger nail into the side of the doll's head, causing Cassie to bowl over in pain. She clawed at her head as she screamed for the pain to stop.
"Stop" she yelped, her cheek now pressed against the mattress "let me speak"
It was a deafening silence that came after Freya stopped applying pressure onto the head of he doll. Cassandra had to stay still for a minute, she had blood oozing from the cut in her head that Freya intentionally made, she had to wait until she was properly healed.
"All I know is that I was feeding, Elijah used the doll against me, he snapped my neck. I don't remember any more" Cassandra spoke quietly, raising her head to look at Freya. She jumped up quickly with her hand out and her index finger raised to stop the other witch from inflicting any more harm "but the site I was on, I chose carefully, it's a few feet away from the cemetery, you should know that"
"I don't know why everyone keeps talking about you like they're scared of you, I see you as weak" Freya replied, referring to how easy it was to get any information from her. "You're going to get him"
"Alone?" Cassandra shot up "you can't expect me to..."
"... I can expect you to do whatever I want, and since its your own fault he's missing" Freya snapped, she sure as hell wasn't going to risk her life to go into a hive of witches, she was knee deep in spells and research. Everyone was busy. But that wasn't why she was doing this, of course, in a heart beat Freya would drop everything to go and get her brother back, but she had an ulterior motive.

"Why is it so easy for you people?" Cassandra raised her arms up, obviously fuming.
Freya turned around from reaching the door and questioned what she was talking about.
"... To blame the one you name a monster?" Cassie carried on "it's always my fault, and none of you realise why I'm like this, I've suffered the way you all have, I am like you all"
Freya stopped herself from reacting oddly, this is what she wanted. She wanted Cassandra to finally tell the truth as she knew this whole thing was a facade. But Freya was the only one that saw through her.
"Maybe... Maybe all of your remarks hurt me, maybe the fact that I know I'm collateral damage in this whole game kills me inside" Cassie carried on "maybe I'm just a girl who's desperate to be loved by someone as my family never loved me enough"
She sat back down on the bed with her head in her hands as Freya sat next to her. "Elijah was the first person I felt really loved me, though he didn't know who I was, but it felt good for a while" she shrugged "I actually allowed myself to fall for him, until I realised that he'd hate me
When he found out. I tried to avoid them, when I turned, but I guess he was just too persistent"
"Are you still in love with him?" Freya asked, but deep down, but deep down she knew the true answer, no matter what Cassie replied.
"Of course not" she sniffed "but it doesn't stop me from caring, even when he admitted to his family if I come out of this alive, he'll kill me"
"He doesn't mean that" Freya tried to create the excuse, but she couldn't really help him out of that one.
"He did" Cassie held her head back "but I'll go and get him, it shouldn't be too hard"
She stood up and flicked her hair back "and Freya, if you tell anyone about this I will rip your throat out"

Moonlight
Three powers were discovered and harnessed so that they could be controlled. These powers are required to keep the planet alive, and need human bearers to focus and amplify their individual powers, but at what cost to their bearers? Power over the elements, controlling the flow of time, and dictating life and death are the powers that three young adults wield in Moonlight, but their lives will be changed forever. Moonlight follows the stories of Claire, Jayden, and Seraphine, as they learn to control these powers that desire to consume them. Author Notes: Hello! This isn't my first attempt at writing a story, and it isn't even my first attempt at writing this particular story, but I'm not in any way what I would call "experienced". I decided to upload my writing here because I just wanted to get my ideas out there, and I wanted to get some constructive criticism for my writing from the RRL community. All comments are welcome, but please try to keep them positive and constructive! If you leave a rating, I would appreciate it if you left a short explanation of what you liked and what I can improve on. I'll be uploading each chapter as I finish them, but this is still the first draft so anything and everything is subject to change. The cover art is drawn by me, but I'm in no way married to it. I just wanted something that showed the three magical sources, as I picture them in my head. If you do any art based on this story, send it to me! I would love to see it. I'll stop talking now, I hope you enjoy the story!

The Kings of Thendor - The Two Kings
To some, it would probably be obvious. To others – not so much. In the land of Thendor, where magic is mysterious, unmentioned, and sometimes even disbelieved; where kings, queens, and stewards rule, the ages-old kingdom of Alldel remains without its king. Heirs come and go and no one can explain why each one chooses to abdicate to the steward. And who are these heirs, anyway? Some say the line of kings is dead, while others whisper of magic. Some, though few they are, will tell you other kingdoms have interfered, keeping the line of kings from rising in the nation of Alldel. But why? Adric, son of Cassian, heir to the throne of Alldel has come of age and must answer the question, whether to assume the throne, or abdicate as his ancestors had done for centuries. Raised as a blacksmith by a family friend, Adric struggles with the decision to take up his place as King of Alldel, and to make matters worse, a neighboring kingdom has confirmed the rumors of the common folk. An impossibly old king with a centuries-old message arrives and changes Adric’s life in ways he could never have imagined. Adric must decide the future, and perhaps even the fate of the great kingdom of Alldel. Unprepared for this turn of events, he enlists the help of allied kingdoms and even the mystical nymphs of the Tulusbian forest. Some say his actions will start a war on the continent of Thendor. Ohers say he is resurrecting a long forgotten one from centuries ago. Abdicate, or become king? To some, it would probably be obvious. To others – not so much.
