《A Devil's Angel (Black Hat x Reader)》11- Packing up

As (Y/N) started packing up all the clothes in her closet, Black Hat carefully grabbed the photos and knickknacks in the room and put them neatly into a box.

While grabbing the things off (Y/N)'s desk, he noticed another family picture. It had an infant, a woman, and a man.

"Hey, (Y/N)?" He called out. (Y/N) poked her head out of the closet. "Yeah?" She responded.

"Is this another picture of you and your family?" He said, pointing at the photo with a bored, but curious expression, trying to seem like he didn't care.

(Y/N) squinted at the picture for a second, then, realizing which one he was talking about, replied, "Oh! Yeah."

Black Hat's finger then shifted to the man in the photo.

"So does that make this your-"

"Dad. Yeah."

"Huh..."

He turned the photo to face him again, looking at it closer. (Y/N)'s head went back in the closet. Black Hat took one more good look at the picture before placing it into the box with all the other photos.

After a few hours of going from room to room, neatly packing up things, you had finally cleared all the rooms, except for the bed in (Y/N)'s room and the living room sofa.

(Y/N) walked over to the living room. Something caught her eye. She saw her phone sitting on the counter. Dead. She picked it up and put it in her pocket. She couldn't charge it, the charger was buried somewhere in the "cable" box. 'Whatever, I can just charge it when we get there,' (Y/N) thought. She continued walking into the living room.

"Uuuugh" (Y/N) groaned, tired from finally packing up all her plates and pans from the kitchen. She fell into the sofa, looking blankly at the ceiling. Her gaze then turned to the window. It already had a slight hint of orange in it.

"GOD DAMMIT, " she shouted in an angry but joking way. Black Hat walked over to the couch and folded his arms on the back of it, looking down at (Y/N).

"What?" He said with less enthusiasm in his voice than normal. Mostly because he was bored to death.

"We've wasted the whole day PACKING!" she said in the same tone as before.

"Huh... guess we have..." Black Hat said, looking out the window to see the same thing (Y/N) had.

He was starting to get uncomfortable leaning on the couch like this, and he noticed (Y/N) was hogging the sofa.

"Move over." He said, blankly staring at (Y/N), who wasn't playing attention. "H-huh? What?" (Y/N) said, coming back to reality. "Move" he said in an irritated tone.

(Y/N) quickly took her legs off the sofa and sat up on one side. Black Hat moved over from behind the couch and sat on the opposite side.

Neither of you said anything for a while. You both just sat there... silent... doing nothing...

(Y/N) pulled her dead phone out of her pocket. She stared at it as though it would turn on and give her the entertainment she needed. The only entertainment it gave was a dark, shiny mirror, showing (Y/N)'s reflection. 'Ew' she couldn't help but think.

"Ugh, forget this. If i'm going to waste a perfectly good day, i'm doing it with a nap" Black Hat groaned, pulling his hat over his eyes, making sure it wouldn't fall off over his head.

More silence. (Y/N) would have turned on the TV, but, unfortunately, it had already been tooken down and packed up.

(Y/N) glanced over at Black Hat, who had quickly fallen asleep. She rolled her eyes at how fast he had lost consciousness.

She tried to think of something to do, but ended up with nothing. She sighed, giving away to the boredom. She looked again over at Black Hat, who looked comfortable.

'Well, there's nothing else left to do.' She thought, moving around till she found a comfortable position. She closed her eyes and, after a few long minutes of trying to find the right position, fell asleep on the opposite side of Black Hat.

Outside, the puddles were starting to slowly get smaller and smaller, but stopped shrinking when the sun was no longer out. The birds had stopped chirping and the wind flew faster and swifter, rustling all the trees and bushes.

The moon was now out and the last tint of orange was fading from the cloudy sky.

Hours passed by and the sky outside only grew darker. Finally, the clock hit 11:00. It was pitch blank both inside and outside, except for the few working light posts.

Black Hat groggily woke up, looking at his surroundings. He could barely make out anything until his eyes adjusted to the darkness. Boxes. Everywhere. He looked over at (Y/N), who was fast asleep.

After hours of laying on the same couch in the same position, he felt uncomfortable. He got up, straightening his back. He started heading to the bedroom, so he could sleep in there.

Just before he turned into the hallway that lead to the stairs, he turned around to look at (Y/N), still lying on the couch.

He looked for a little while, before rolling his eyes, walking back, picking her up bridal style, and walking her back to the bedroom.

When he opened the door, he gently put down (Y/N) on her side, careful not to wake her up. He then moved to the other side of the bed and lied down, his back facing (Y/N).

'Why did I do that?' He thought, confused at his own actions. After a few seconds of thinking, he ignored it. He got comfortable and closed his eyes, falling asleep.
