The tin can was coming through the air, barely visible. You grinned at yourself. She would never be able to shoot that. Suddenly, she took the stun gun and shot it at the floor. It charged up and fired, leaving a small, black mark where she shot.
That was the most pathetic thing you had ever seen. She could have at least tried.
"Were you even aimi-"
I was cut off by her aiming her gun straight in front of her. 'Hopefully she tries this time' you thought, a little annoyed. You looked at her. She seemed to be completely focused. Her hand on the trigger, not moving a muscle.
Something weird caught your attention, though.
She wasn't looking at the can.
She was staring at the sky. You glanced to see what she was looking at, but there was nothing there.
The can was getting close. You saw the gun charging up. Her finger had pulled the trigger. The can was right above everyone. The gun shot out a light blue ray.
The can suddenly bounced off to the side. It lightly hit the cement and rolled around on its side to reveal...
A small hole. Smoke rising from the dent.
All you could do was look in astonishment. That's all you, Flug, and the girl could do. You changed your expression to a stern one before they could notice your shock as well. You cleared your throat. Both Dr. Flug and the girl focused their attention on you.
"You're hired." You said, hiding the fact you were impressed. She looked happy and Dr. Flug looked surprised. "I'm Black Hat" you said, looking at the young woman. Your hand outstretched for a handshake. "I'm (Y/N)!" She said, shaking your hand with a warm smile. It disgusted you.
"You start tomorrow. You will carry a gun on you at all times and you will help clean around the house. You will escort me or someone else if and when needed." (Y/N) nodded in agreement. "And one more thing," you added. "You will have to move in."

Her excited expression turned into a disappointed and concerned one.
"But I just got a new house. How will I get everything situated? Not to mention all the stuff I have. That stuff costed a fortune!" She said. She sounded worried more than anything.
One word caught your attention.
"Fortune? What kind of things?" You asked, giving her a curious look. She looked at you with slightly annoyed eyes. "My sofa, my bed... my whole house." She stared at you blankly on that last part.
"Hmm... would it be ok with you if I maybe go over to your house and see what condition you sofa is in? We might need to switch out our sofa for yours."
She looked confused.
"Dementia has pretty much destroyed ours." You explained. "Not to mention she sheds on it to much."
"Uh, is she like, a cat or something?
"What? Oh no, she's one of my workers. 5.0.5 usually has trouble getting all the hair off."
"Is 5.0.5 a worker too?"
"More or less. that stupid bear is just a maid."
She looked beyond confused.
She shook her head a little to clear her mind, then responded to your question with a "yeah, sure."
You nodded and looked over at Dr. Flug, who had been standing there quiet the whole time, and said, "I will be out for a little while. Try not to burn the house down while i'm gone." Dr. Flug nodded and started heading inside.
"Well?" You said, looking over at (Y/N).
She nodded and started walking along the sidewalk. You walked next to her with your hands behind your back. The sunset made the sky a bright orange as you avoided puddles left from the rain, which had stopped about half an hour ago.

The sky was now clear as you and (Y/N) walked steadily towards her house, not exchanging any words, but only a few small glances.
'Well,' you thought. 'Maybe today hasn't been such an awful day. I got a new worker.' You glanced back at (Y/N). You're mind went back to when she shot the can. It still surprised you. You looked away and thought, 'Maybe she can be of some use'.
