《A Devil's Angel (Black Hat x Reader)》6- The First Encounter

While walking down the sidewalk next to the different neighborhood houses, you and Flug talked about nothing in particular. You both just talk about hobbies and about each others lives.
"So you mean to tell me you invent stuff for a living?" You said, impressed. He put his hand on the back of his neck. "Yeah, I guess. It's not really that impress-" "What do you build?!" You interrupted, even more amazed with little stars in your eyes. He looked nervous, sweat somehow trickling down his paper bag without getting it wet.
"W-well I invent different things. I usually invent things for my boss, Black Hat." You looked at him with curious eyes. "What does he do?"
"He's a villain th-" "He's a villain?!?" You said- shouted, with even more stars in your eyes. "That's awesome!" You said
That was probably the last response he expected. He looked at you with a surprised expression.
"What?" You asked, taking note of this. He shook his head and responded. "I'm just surprised that you seem excited about me working for a villain."
"Are you kidding?" You said. "Villains are awesome! Villains are different and cool! Meanwhile heroes are always so boring and stereotypical." You said in an annoyed tone before switching back to a smile.
You looked over at Dr. Flug and he seemed to be thinking. "You know," he started. "I could ask my boss if you could work with us. I-if you want to, of course!" He stuttered out, a little frantic on that last part. He looked over at you to see the whole fricken galaxy in your pupils, sparking like you accidentally caught a container of glitter stuck in your eyes.
"That would be awesome!!" You said, more excited than ever. Flug stopped so you stopped you looked at the house next to you and- ohmyfuckinggoditsthecreepyhouse.

Flug was not affected by the house looming over both of you, but you stood there frozen. His voice snapped you back out of your trance.
"So I'll ask my boss if-" "" you heard come from behind you and Flug. You both shot around and there stood a tall man in black.
He had a black cloak, hat and tie and a red shirt. His face was... grey. Me had a monocle, completely hiding his right eye. He had no nose, which confused you more that anything.
From the expression on his face, he was not happy.
"U-uh. S-she was w-wondering if m-maybe s-she could get a j-job here?" He stuttered out. With the way he looked, terrified was an understatement. The villain glanced over at you, his expression unchanging. "And what makes you think you could possibly be a good addition to my company?" He said, sounding intimidating.
This whole time, all you could show was a straight face. You weren't scared, you didn't know how you felt. You answered immediately in your most convincing confident voice. "Well, I have a good aim when it comes to holding a gun. I'm also good at strategizing and I learn things quickly." You said without problem. You didn't really have time to think before you speak, but what you said was true.
His stern expression loosened a bit, seeming to turn into a curious one, still looking somewhat mad. "Flug, give her your stun ray." He said, sounding less irritated. Flug pulled out a gun-looking device from out of his pocket while the villain snapped his fingers, making an empty tin can appear out of thin air. Flug handed you his gun shakily while "Black Rat" or whatever his name was again was holding the empty can.

"I want you to shoot this before it hits the ground." He said. You nodded and he lightly tossed the can into the air. You aimed and-
The ground shook a little. A black vine-like thing flung out of the ground and knocked the can with full force.
The vine went back into the ground and the floor where it had been fixed itself to full repair. The can, however, flew up so high, it was only a speck in the sky.
"It's possible..." you thought.
You aimed the gun at the floor and pulled the trigger.
1... 2.. the gun charged up and fired, sounding like it came straight out of a star wars movie. Flug looked at you confused while Black Hat started, seeming dumbfounded.
"We're you even aimi-"
He was cut off by you raising your gun in front of you. You glanced back up at the can, it was now slowly starting to head towards you. '2.4 second delay,' you thought. 'Going to go about 6 miles per hour...' you stared intensely at the spot it should be when you press the trigger, a few yards above your head. You readied your finger on the trigger, still staring at the sky.
Flug and the villain were both staring, both seeming anxious. After 4 seconds of nothing but the can speeding up as if fell towards the ground, the can passed the part you were staring at. You pressed the trigger without missing a millisecond.
The gun slowly fired up. The can was coming at a rapid pace, like an asteroid about to hit earth.
1..2...
the can was right in front of you. The gun fired and...
