《A Devil's Angel (Black Hat x Reader)》3- A Walk in the Neighborhood

The sky was still grey and there was no sign of any sunshine. The rain was cold and even with the yellow hood down, the hair that stuck out of the hoodie was already soaked.
Of course, you loved this. Since this was a low populated town, no cars were driving by. You still walked on the sidewalk, though. Just in case someone decides to drive by. You tried to hide the part of you that wanted to go in the street and kick every huge puddle you saw.
You walked by a small sewer drain, and you swore to yourself you saw a red balloon, but that's just ridiculous, so you kept walking.
As you walked on the sidewalk, you looked at all the different houses. None looked the same, for you could paint and build it however you wanted. Of course, some houses looked like trash. There are always houses like that when you can paint it however you want.
There were beautiful houses as well. Some were too plain, too showy, there was even one that definitely had way too many rooms. After about 2 minutes of walking and admiring every house, most of course being vacant, you came across a tall black house.
It was shaped like a top hat and for some weird reason, there was even a plane in the side of it. The sight made you stop. Not out of fear and terror, but of confusement and awe. Even with the many, many houses you saw, this one stook out like a sore thumb.
You had heard about villains and 1 or 2 hero's living in this town, but those were just stupid rumors. Everyone knew there was no such thing as superheroes or supervillains.
Right?
The more you looked at the house, the more you questioned yourself. The longer you looked, the more details you saw. And the more details you saw, the more evil it truly looked. You shook it off as someone playing a prank on everyone that saw the house, to trick them into thinking a villain did live there. That's what you thought until...

"" you heard come from inside. It was muffled since it came from inside, but it couldn't have been misheard. It sounded... demonic.
Whoever was in there was definitely not in the best of moods, and that was no normal voice. The sentence, of course, made you laugh a little, making you wonder what was going on in there, but you'd rather not stick around this place.
That voice could probably shake the ground and you didn't want it's owner seeing you. Who knows what would happen. Besides, the rain was only getting heavier and you were only getting more soaked.
You figured here would be a good place to turn back to start heading home. You walked a little faster on the way back to save some time. You've already seen all these houses and you didn't see the need to look at each one again.
Finally, you made it back to your house. It had white walls and a nice, light brown roof.
It didn't stand out, but you honestly liked that fact, considering what the other houses that "stood out" looked like.
It was safe, and it looked like a comfortable home.
You got the keys out of your pocket and unlocked the door. You stepped inside your living room. All that was there were boxes in the corners and a couch, with a T.V. hung up on the wall.
You walked to your room and took off your yellow raincoat, throwing the soaked thing into the hamper in the closet. It would be dry in the matter of 2-3 hours.
Your clothes underneath were not wet, but they were cold, so you grabbed a pair of pajamas and headed to the bathroom to take a shower. When you were done, you put on your pajamas and jumped on your bed.
You fell asleep almost instantly. It was so comfortable, you couldn't help yourself. You sighed as you silently thought to yourself, "what a weird house... wonder what goes on in there..."
You slowly drifted off into sleep, without a care in the world.

Small Town Love
For Daphne Emerson, New York City was her home.
