《To Love Gabriel Harris [B×B] ✔》EP 32: EXCEPT ONE QUESTION

I guided him through the forest with ease, I knew the way like the back of my hand. Alexander, however, was looking around like a lost child.

" Gabriel, now I'm questioning myself on whether you're actually a murderous killer..." Alexander muttered out as he gingerly stepped over the thick branches.

I chuckled in response, the last thing I would ever do is kill him.

I decided to let go of his hand when the hut came into view. Turning back, I let my eyes take in his expression of awe.

" I know this place..." he walked ahead eagerly, a small smile laced on my lips.

As confident as I seemed, I was actually fearing his questions. What if my answers scare him? What if I really lose him?

Afterall, Mr Hogwarts said I could possibly lose the boy I love if I force his past lifestyle onto him.

" Wait Alexander! Don't enter the house yet," I pulled him back.

" Why not...?" I sensed that he was clearly irritated.

" Trust me on this one, I want to answer your questions first before you explore the hut." I brought him to the porch of the hut, sitting cross legged in front of him.

Thankfully, Alexander wasn't as stubborn as I was and abided by my words.

" So...shoot, " I casually encouraged. He took a moment to gaze up into the sky full of stairs, I liked how his bronze eyes sparkled under the moon. The way a few strands of his fawn hair fell over his eyebrows.

" What are these flashbacks I'm having?" With a sigh, I leaned back, my elbows holding me up.

" The accident caused you to lose a part of your memory, so these flashbacks are a sign that you're regaining it back." Alexander nodded slowly, a smile slowly forming on his rosy cheeks.

" Well at least that's a good thing, right?"

" Absolutely." I bit my bottom lip, just admiring that gorgeous smile of his.

Alexander rubbed his hands in anticipation as he thought of all the possible questions.

" What did I forget?" He leaned closer.

Me, you forgot me Alexander.

I wanted to cry out, I wanted to tell him that but instead I looked down to my knees.

We sat in uncomfortable silence. I promised to answer all his questions, but this question could literally destroy everything.

I rather watch him continue to live his life without him knowing that he was more than just my brother's best friend to me instead of having him completely out of my life.

Alexander lifted my chin with his index finger so that my eyes would meet his sunset brown ones.

" Is there more to you that I should know?" His words, jesus! So soft, so fragile, so damn bloody perfect.

" What are you to me?" He asked once more, his question hitting me right in the heart.

My friend, my lover, the angel in my life, the boy I love, my world, my universe, the moon and stars in my dark blue sky--- he was my everything, everything.

" I can't tell you that, Alexander. As much as I want to." I stood up, heading towards the door of the hut.

" Why not?! It's not as though someone is holding a gun to your head." Alexander threw his hands in the air.

" I want you to figure that out yourself, instead of forcing my identity onto you."

Aledander stood rooted to the ground, staring at me as though I grew two heads.

" Follow me," I led him into the hut but paused to look back at him once more, " and just a side note, I'll take a bullet for you any day."

He was taken aback by words, realising my link to his phrase ' It's not as though someone is holding a gun to your head '.

I grabbed three buckets of paint, placing it before him.

" Yellow, blue or red?" I asked him the exact question I was posed by him 7 months ago.

He raised an eyebrow at me, I must have look insane at that moment.

" Errr...yellow?" He chose the same colour I took when I drew my waffle on the wooden wall.

With a curt nod, I grabbed the towel that always laid by the corner.

" Don't panic, just listen." I spoke before placing the towel over his eyes.

Alexander cleared his throat, shifting his weight from one foot to another.

" Now what?" I chuckled at his curiosity.

Pushing him nearer to the wall, I dipped his hand into the bucket of yellow paint.

" I feel like I'm dipping my hand in shit, is this payback for something I did in the past that I might have forgotten...?" He tried to humour me, and I punched his arm lightly, trying to hide my goofy smile.

"Now, you feel that wall in front of you?" I let him use his left hand to feel the wooden texture of the wall.

" Yeah got it."

" I want you to draw the tattoo on your left wrist onto the wall." I folded my arms across my chest, in all hopes that my little experiment will get him to remember me.

" What tattoo are you talking about?! Don't be ridiculous Gabriel, I'll never tattoo my left wrist unless it represents someone I lov--" his words died down when he realised what his words meant out loud.

"Finish the sentence Alexander," I stepped closer to him, my voice firm in place.

With a shaky breath, he continues.

" My mama told me to only tattoo my left wrist with something that represents the person I love."

We stood there in silence, you could hear the crickets and gentle wind brushing through the forest. I wanted to give Alexander time, time for all of it to sink in.

" Gabriel...I don't know what I tattooed on my wrist. " Alexander let his arms fall weakly in defeat. I shook my head, not believing a word he said.

I'm not going to give up on him, I had to make sure he didn't give up on himself either.

". Dig down, deep in your heart. You decided on that tattoo. Are you trying to tell me you forgotten the person you love?"

Alexander places both his hands against the wall, his head hung low as he thought hard.

I know he was trying, he really was.

The Alexander I know would fight for the people he loves.

" We are going to stay here all night, Alexander. I'm not giving up on you just yet. You want answers? You have them within you, so find them." I leaned against the wall, pulling one leg over the other.

He snickered, "Do you enjoy torturing me like this?"

I rolled my eyes. I lifted his jaw to face in my direction, I let my fingers unconsciously trace over his soft lips.

I could feel him tense up, his breathing becoming more rapid.

" Just focus alright, Xander. You have it in you, I wouldn't be doing this if I don't believe in you." I spoke for tenderly this time.

Surprisingly, he didn't flinch away from my touch. Neither of us really felt uncomfortable about it.

Moving away, he took a deep breath.

" Tell me what your tattoo looks like when you think about it." I prompted.

" I see splashes of colour."

Well, that was a good start, I thought to myself.

" What else?"

" I see specifically one colour...greenish blue." I tried to remain calm, realising it was my unique eye colour.

He began to let his finger draw the handle of a paintbrush, my heart was beating against my ribcage.

He was remembering...

" I see artwork masterpiece..." He continues to perfect the drawing on wooden wall while I was holding my breath.

Adding his last touch, Alexander pulled off the the towel that covered his eyes. His eyes meet mine, and I was anxious of his following words.

" I see you, Gabriel. It's you..."
