《epiphany || hp au》1 | the manor

Don't get her wrong, she was grateful for everything. From both of her mothers, to her aunt and uncle, to her bestfriends, to the golden retriever that ran around her yard. She was never a materialistic person, she didn't believe objects could hold the same value as other things like family and friendship did. She was also a very worrisome person, always seeing the negative light and all that could do wrong in a situation, and right now all her worries were on her packing.
Anastasia, more commonly known as ana, was frantically searching for any items that she might have forgotten to pack. Her mother could always send any forgotten item, but ana would much rather not go through that hassle.
Her mothers waited patiently for their daughter in the family room of the kepner manor that currently housed the family of three. Ana lived with her mother, Julianne Kepner, and her stepmother Danielle Krum. Julianne was a full french lady, who moved to England during her third year of school at the age of 13 after her parents divorced. Later in life she moved back to france with her daughter, and only returned a few years ago. Danielle krum was a Bulgarian woman whom was the aunt of the world famous quidditch player, Victor Krum. The two ladies met while both taking jobs at the ministry of magic. The manor used to be owned by Julianne's father which he purchased after moving from france to london as a result of his divorce. he left the original kepner manor, which was in france, to his ex-wife, Ana's grandmother.
Back uptairs, Ana seemed stuck staring at herself in the mirror. While she had never voiced it, her appearance was always something she was insecure of. It never had anything to do with her the features she had obtained from her mother or father, whom she didn't even know, but rather the fact that her hair always seemed to change no matter how hard she tries to control it.

"Ana," her not her shouted from the bottom of the steps, "Regulus is coming soon, be ready!"
"Almost done," was the only reply her mother received.
Regulus was her mother's most dearest friend. He was one of the first people she met at hogwarts. despite, being in different houses and years, he welcomed the girl who he met in the library. They shared mutual interests like astronomy, magical creatures and chocolate covered strawberries. Regulus also introduced her to Severus Snape, a slytherin in her year, who she later on became good friends with. Julianne learned to love and care for those boys with all her heart, and she was stuck with them through everything, including when Lily stopped being friends with Severus(even though she herself thought of stopping her friendship with him after the incident), and when Regulus felt alone and scared after Sirius ran away. They shared secrets and friendship, when Julianne named Regulus the godfather of her child, Severus called it unfair until he learned of whom the child belonged.
Julianne heard the steps before she saw the figure, but she knew it was only just her daughter.
"You really can't see me off?" Ana hoped when she approached her mother. Her mother received an owl from her mother's nurse informing her of her grandmothers worsening condition.
"I'm sorry sweetie but mama needs me," she frowned to her daughter sadly. She really did want to see her daughter off, but after recieving news that she's only getting worse, she couldn't risk not seeing her mother, never knowing when her last time with her would be.
"Are you sure you have everything?" questioned Danielle, "your uncle should be here soon."
"Yes, I'm ready," Ana smiled at her stepmom, before exiting the house.

Cosmic Bulldozing Team
"Welcome to the Cosmic Bulldozing Team! CBT for short... references to any other acronyms are purely coincidental." Breve has one exceptional gift: an inborn potential for Resurrection magic. The cost? Every other healing spell she casts is absolutely paltry in comparison to the rest of her race, making her family outcasts within her society. That potential alone, however, classes Breve as a Rank A Healer. By what metric? Well, by the crazy elf lady who’s about to destroy her planet. Wait, what? Here's the low-down: her planet has been targeted by the Cosmic Bulldozing Team, which, as their name suggests, operates in the apparently lucrative business of destroying planets. This comes with the unfortunate side-effect of also murdering everyone who lives there. And Breve would’ve been killed, too, if she hasn’t unintentionally passed their audition for a new healer. Unwillingly saved by the people who just annihilated everything Breve ever knew and loved, she’s dragged into a massive spaceship before, without a moment’s reprieve, being assigned missions to sally forth and commit the same atrocities on other planets. And with Breve's home lying in a pile of celestial bedrock, it seems that cooperating is the only option. And she will cooperate, or so help her, they'll send her back whence she came: into the void of space, where the smashed rubble of her planet now drifts along. "Buckle in, rookie: you've got some planetary destruction ahead of you." (Updates every 2 days.)

RED
Valley City. Up until around twenty years ago, it had been a nowhere place. Just a bunch of towns with no real reputation. Now, though, it's known for its progression in medical science. The Medical Technologies Company. It seemed to suddenly appear out of nowhere in the middle of what's now called City Center. Once just a manufacturer and developer of medical equipment, it eventually started to dabble in medical research. Before anyone even knew it, they were the leading research entities, with five seperate buildings in Valley City alone, all towering above everything else in the area. Some say they even swayed the local government into combining the old towns into one city and popularized prosthetic limbs as fashion themselves, but that's just gossip. Matthew Vega. A 25-year-old college dropout, tricked by MediTech into being experimented on under the pretense of participating in a clinical trial for rent money. After being broken out of their facility nearly a year after having her limbs replaced, then having her liberator captured, she seeks a way to dismantle the company or save the one she cares about. NOTE: Currently I am working on a rewrite. I will post a new chapter once that is ready, listed as V2CH-001. I hope you look forward to it.
