After my shower I laid staring at the ceiling sorting out my feelings. I definitely felt more for Mason than I had wanted to in the start.

If he tried to kiss me again would I let him? I dunno, probably! Can I trust him not to play me? I'm not one hundred percent sure but he did say he used to think clinging to people was a bad thing... used to. But who knows. Maybe he knows how I think and wanted me to let my guard down. I just want to know what the hell to do!

"Hey Quinnie, can I sit?" Lexi cracked open the door. I patted a spot on the bed beside me and she came in. We both sighed before I went through the whole spiel about what happened with my dad.

"Wow, he's such a dick! I mean, no offence but what a royal ass." Her face started to go red as she balled up her hands into fists.

"It's okay Lex, at least Mason was there. He pulled him off me." She looked over the bed curiously excited.

"Mason huh? I wanted to talk to you a bit more about that without him around. You guys were sitting awful close when we walked in." She raised her eyebrows trying to get some answers out of me. I cringed, remembering how close we were.

"Okay, yes, I was showing him my tattoos... and we were about to kiss but we didn't. I'm sort of glad we didn't though. He might have decided it was a mistake and then sent us packing, leaving us homeless. I just don't wanna make things weird, especially if it jeopardises your future as well." I said cracking my fingers. Lexi rolled over and rested her head on her hand.

"Babe, c'mon. He would never do that. Especially after what he's said about you." My eyes must have registered confusion because Lex covered her mouth immediately.

"Shit! I mean... look Quinnie, he has nothing but nice things to say about you okay? But my lips are sealed. Just trust me?" She squinted waiting for my impending anger towards her. Of course I would trust her, she'd been the one to move out here with me when I had nobody else. She'd earned my trust, even though she spilled my tattoo secret. I just nodded and played with my hair in between my fingers, mildly frustrated. As much as I wanted to pry and ask her what he's said, I knew she didn't want me to ask about it so I didn't. We laid there for another minute staring into space, an awkward silence falling between us.

"You know, Zach wants me to meet his parents now?" Lexi said dreamily.

"Yeah? You said it went well but wow. He must have really loved your parents." I smiled, sitting up.

"Yup! His parents want to fly us out when they both have a day off from work so we can get to know each other. I never thought I'd find my soul mate in college of all places but I really think he's the one." She clasped a silver heart locket in her hand and sighed deeply. I jumped up to my feet and started bouncing her on the bed.

"Sexy Lexi and Zach Attack are gonna get married and have babies and live happily ever after!" I sung while she giggled continuously while flopping around on the bed. I found it easier to direct the attention onto her and Zach. Talking about Mason just made me more frustrated and with left me with even more questions.

After we both came down from bouncing on the bed she decided it was time for her to get some sleep.

"I'm gonna go hit the hay." She pointed to the door.

"You mean hit Zach's bed?" I smirked cheekily. She threw a pillow at me before she opened the door.

"Yes!" She quickly said before she shut my door so I couldn't retaliate. She left me with a wide grin on my face, cheeks hurting from smiling so much. Lexi deserved to have a guy treat her right for once and I was glad she'd finally found it.

Me on the other hand. I was a knotted ball of messed up.
