《Fated to Miss Jackson ( GXG )》Chapter 10

"So where are we going?" Michelle grinned, eyes bright with curiosity
"I want to show you something" I smiled to myself. Michelle giggled
"Okay okay" she gently shook her head grinning, her hand still in mine. It had gotten pretty quiet outside, the only sound to be heard besides our footsteps was the birds chirping.
"Miss Jackson's going to kill us for this, why was she so off with you today?" My heart rose in my chest, I had only just been able to push Juliet to the back of my mind
"God knows, probably personal stuff" I brushed it off
"Yeah that seems likely" Michelle agreed. We crossed the road and reached a fence. I fumbled about until I found a hole in the fence and crawled through it
"I'm not going to fit" Michelle giggled as you also struggled to get through.
"Not much further I promise" I smiled at her and took her hand again. We walked further through the woods until we reached the wooden steps, we walked down and reached the side of the river. Michelle looked around in awe at the scenery, the clear sparkling river had a few golden fish swimming around in it and there was little birds chirping in the trees. Butterflies fluttered gently off into the blue sky. The golden sunlight was pouring through onto Michelle's soft tanned skin and her long silky chestnut hair. She turned to me, her warm brown eyes sweet like pools of honey caught in the sunlight.
"It's beautiful right?" I smiled, it was true this place was almost magical, I guess almost fit for a Disney movie.
"How have I never found out about this place" she asked smiling gently
"No one knows about it, hardly anyone's comes down here and I haven't told anyone because people would ruin it" we sat down on the long grass beside the river

"So I'm the first person you've taken down here?" She smiled knowingly to herself. I blushed and nodded. Michelle kicked off her shoes and ran to the rivers edge, she sat down and dangled her toes in the water. She turned to face me, her features glowing in the golden sunlight. "Gonna join me?"
I smiled and kicked off my shoes, running over to join her. The water felt cool and soothing against my feet which were slightly sore from the long walk down here.
"Nice isn't it?" She said, almost reading my mind. We sat there for a while, nothing was said. No words needed to be said. Michelle sighed, her head resting on my shoulder and her long brown hair cascading down my back. "We should go back, biology starts in half an hour" she said, almost sadly, breaking the comfortable silence.
"Yeah I suppose so"
Neither of us moved for a minute, until she stood up and put her shoes back on so I did the same. We trekked back through the woods until we met the hole in the fence. I climbed through and looked back to see Michelle struggling again
"I'm going to fall" she said, panic arising in her voice.
"Hey hey I got you" I said, my hand firmly in hers. She pulled her leg through the fence but her laces got caught on the sharp edge of the wire. She jerked her foot free, slightly too aggressively, causing her to lose balance and fall into me. The unexpected weight against me caused me to lose my footing and fall towards the large cherry blossom tree.
I saw Michelle's warm brown hair flying towards the hard brown bark so without thinking I grabbed her arm and yanked her towards me so she fell safely onto the soft grass covered in silky pink petals. I fell with a thump on top of her, slightly crushing her delicate petite body.

"Oh my god I'm so so sorry" I whispered, my voice for some reason not coming out as loud as intended, maybe something to do with the fact that her soft, plump pink lips were but a breath away from mine.
"Don't be" she whispered back, focusing her warm brown eyes on my lips and then back to my eyes. She looked at me with an innocent and perhaps even nervous stare.
My breath caught in my throat as I looked at her beneath me, her hair golden in the light, spread around her on the soft grass like some sort of goddess. The light pink petals delicately falling all around us.
She gently brushed my blonde hair out of my face and tucked it behind my ear and closed her captivating amber eyes as her soft blushing lips met mine
