His breathing became labored as he tried to yank his hand out of his father's grip but to no avail.
"What is the meaning of this?!" He spat angrily as he twisted Taehyung's hand painfully, making him cry out.
"Stop! Please stop!" He begged, face contorted in pain when his father payed no mind to him.
"What is the meaning of this?!" He repeated again, this time slower as he continued his torture.
Taehyung was crying loudly as he begged his father to let go, pain filling him from his harsh grip.
Everything was too much, he couldn't do it. How stupid could he have been to think he could go against his father?
He wished he hadn't left Jungkook that morning, wished he was there to hold him and protect him.
He was stupid and naive to believe he could possibly come to an agreement with his father.
"I'm not a virgin!" He blurted out seconds before he heard a loud pop in his wrist.
The noise was deafening and for a second he felt no pain, utter silence before it shot up his entire arm making him see white for a few seconds.
He let out a scream before his father's fist came hurdling towards his face, making his entire skull shake upon impact.
The wind was immediately knocked out of him, making his eyes widen in shock when he hit the floor again, wrist painfully landing under his body.
Pain was all he felt, it was buzzing almost like electricity running through his body.
"How dare you disrespect your family. How dare you go against your own father and the Lord?! You're a dirty whore who deserves to be punished for your sins. The Lord does not claim you and neither do I!"
Taehyung was crawling backwards, brain trying to find a safe place but unable to. The only place he could think of was Jungkook's arms.

The only place he felt safe.
He thought of him with tears rolling down his cheeks and blood all over his face. In his mind, he knew he wouldn't make it.
He knew things would have to end this way, and he had accepted it.
He was lying limply when his father picked him up by the hair, making his scalp and throat burn when he let out a scream.
Somewhere in the distance he could hear the front door opening and closing, brain foggy.
And then, "What is going on in here! What are you doing?!"
Taehyung coughed weakly as he hunched over into the carpet, spitting out blood from his mouth.
The color stained the cream-colored carpet, Taehyung was sniffling lightly because blood was just pouring from his nose like a river.
It was his mother.
Her eyes were wide in shock and panic as she saw her baby's condition and her own husband looming over him with blood on his fists.
"Do you want to tell her or should I?! Huh, answer me?!" His father spat as he gripped his hair, shaking him violently as he whimpered loudly.
"Dong-Hoon let him go! What has gotten into you!" She shrieked; eyes filled with fear that Taehyung had never seen before.
But she did not even attempt to approach him, feet glued in place as she watched.
"M-Mother-" Taehyung stuttered pathetically, a loud sob leaving his lips when his father roughly pulled his head back.
"Your son has been whoring around like a fag with those street rats from across town. He's just another disgusting homosexual that spreads his legs any chance he gets. I'm sure he's covered in diseases." He spat, making Taehyung cry out and try to shake his head.
He could see his mother's face through blurry vision, her look of shock quickly morphing into that of disgust.

He wanted to scream at her that she had no right. She had no right to judge him for loving. She had no right when she was never even home.
She wasn't there when Taehyung began to question himself and his sexuality. All of the times he hated himself for even thinking of the possibility.
She wasn't there when he would cry himself to sleep at night because he refused to believe that he had feelings for another man.
She wasn't there all of those times his father would lock him in the closet, hit him with a paddle or slap him.
She wasn't there to see how his own father had broke him.
Taehyung only grew hurt and utterly disgusted when his own mother grew silent before turning on her heel and leaving the room.
He could feel his own heart breaking into a million pieces because how could his own mother abandon him when he needed her the most.
He didn't have any more time to think before he felt his father's foot collide with his side, making him double over because his ribs were filling him with pain.
He was struggling to breathe and his vision was beginning to cloud over, dark spots appearing everywhere.
He could hear his father's loud footsteps retracting from him as he coughed heavily, blood all over his clothes and his hands.
He couldn't move, as much as he wanted to because that would be his only chance to escape his inevitable fate.
He was crying because he knew his chances were over the second he heard loud booming footsteps coming closer before─

Jungkook was on the verge of a panic attack, he could feel it.
He crumbled the note in his hands tightly before stuffing it in the pocket of his jeans and exiting his bedroom.
His breathing was extremely labored and he was sweating, palms clammy.
Not to mention the sick feeling in the pit of his stomach telling him that something was wrong.
"Jungkook where are you-" his mother began to say before she saw the ghostly look on Jungkook's face and the look of fear in his eyes.
"Something is wrong. Taehyung left early this morning- and he left this note a-and I have this feeling in my chest-" he rambled shakily as his mother held his shoulders to calm him down.
"Jungkook listen to me, please calm down. I'm sure he's fine." She tried to speak but Jungkook wasn't having it as he shook his head.
"I need to go. I need to see with my own eyes that he's okay." He breathed as he pulled away, eyes apologetic as he left his mother and ran out the door.
The wind was cold and the sun did absolutely nothing to provide warmth but Jungkook found himself sweating as he ran towards Taehyung's neighborhood.
He was running down his street when he finally slowed down, letting out a loud breath as his eyes scanned the quiet neighborhood.
It was, of course, very early in the morning but he had assumed it would be lively, a place where wives went out to see their husbands off to work with a smile and a wave.
But this was anything but that.
It was a blue neighborhood.
He was perhaps a few houses down from Taehyung's home when he heard it.
The loud booming noise of a gunshot.
The birds that were hanging from the power lines immediately flew over his head, wings flapping furiously upon registering the loud sound.
He froze in his step the second he heard it, all color draining from his face because he knew.
He knew where it had come from.

This is fan fiction, and no challenge to their ownership rights is intended. Goge Vandire is a name written in to the annals of Imperial history in blood. Often literally. And yet he was just a man. Where did such a man come from? What drove him to the steps he took to secure power to himself and, once he had it, how did he come to misuse it so grievously?
