Almost immediately Yoongi rushed to the door, swinging it open to reveal a sobbing Jimin.
He was breathing heavily like he had been running for hours, choking on his cries.
Once he caught sight of Yoongi, he threw himself into his arms, muffled sobs against his chest.
Jungkook and Taehyung watched worriedly as Yoongi shut the door and brought Jimin closer.
"Oh, thank god! Thank god!" Jimin cried as he had a death grip on the boy.
"What's wrong, Jimin?" Yoongi asked worriedly.
It was silent for a few more seconds before Jimin slowly followed Yoongi into the living room where he sat across from Jungkook and Taehyung.
"T-They know! They want to take me away! Y-You can't let them take me away!" Jimin screamed desperately, eyes terrified.
Immediately Yoongi's head snapped towards Jungkook, both boys sharing a look.
Taehyung sat confused to the whole situation, not knowing what Jimin was talking about and why the poor boy was crying.
Jungkook could see the way Yoongi's eyes watered and the way he swallowed harshly as the realization that someone else would be taken from them set in.
Jimin was shaking and mumbling to himself as he pressed himself against Yoongi.
"Tell me exactly what happened? How much do they know?" Yoongi asked finally, voice firm.
"T-They came this morning. I heard mother greet them at the door and I hid behind the staircase. They were talking about me," Jimin paused, voice shaky as tears rolled down his cheeks.
"Mother... She told them about how she suspected I was gay and father- he was happy to see them, he told them how he hoped they could help me. So I ran, I ran here because they're going to take me away. Yoongi please d-don't let them take me away!"

Jimin wailed as Yoongi held onto him tightly, Jungkook swallowed harshly as he began to remember a similar encounter told to him two years ago.
All the while Taehyung sat there confused as ever, not understanding who was after his friend.
"I don't want to go! P-Please!"
"Jimin please calm down, no one is taking you away from me." Yoongi spoke, voice gentle yet firm.
"What's going on?" Taehyung spoke softly, feeling lost in the conversation.
Everyone stayed silent, the only sounds were that of Jimin's sniffling.
"Hyung, he deserves to know, please." Jungkook spoke desperately, making Taehyung stare at him confused.
"Know what? What is going on?" Taehyung asked again, watching as Jungkook and Yoongi had a conversation with their eyes.
"Fine." Yoongi nodded, a shaky sigh leaving his lips before he started up again, holding Jimin tightly against his side.
"Two years ago, we had a friend. A really good friend, we all grew up in the same street and learned how to kick a ball around. Me, Jungkook, Hoseok and... Namjoon. We were inseparable, we did everything together," Yoongi paused, eyes distant.
Jungkook couldn't help the lone tear that fell down his cheek at the memory, feeling Taehyung's gaze on him.
"The boy from the picture. That was him." Taehyung spoke softly, recalling the photograph of the four boys against the truck.
"What?" Yoongi asked.
"I saw a picture of all of you in the truck, the one in the sun visor. It fell one day when I was with Jungkook." Taehyung explained slowly.
Jungkook just shook his head as he sniffled lightly, making Taehyung hold his hand tightly.
"There's something you should know about this town Taehyung," Yoongi paused again, eyeing Taehyung with a serious look on his face.

"It's not what you think it is- people aren't who they say they are. They hide their true intentions behind facades and fake smiles. This town, is a big fat lie and we're just stuck in it." Yoongi spoke harshly.
"What are you talking about?" Taehyung asked softly.
"Homosexuality." Was all he said.
And Taehyung couldn't help but think back to all the times he had heard the same thing over and over again.
In the church, the guest speaker in youth group, Jimin's mother the other day, and his own father.
"They see it as an abomination to human kind. They don't want us in this town and they've made it more than clear. Our friend, Namjoon was one of the first ones they took." Yoongi swallowed harshly as tears began to gather in his eyes.
"They told parents they would help remove that part of them, help cure their minds. It was just some sick way to brainwash people into agreeing to hand over their kids for conversion therapy." Yoongi spat, making Taehyung sit in disbelief with what he was hearing.
"So his parents agreed and they took him, away from his family and friends. Hoseok took it the hardest, acting out and distancing himself from us. I can't blame him for doing so, but I couldn't find it in myself to leave Jungkook to fend for himself either."
Yoongi paused, eyes meeting Jungkook's teary ones as a lone tear fell down his cheek.
"It was months before we saw him again. It was late at night and I heard banging on the door, Jungkook was with me at that time. And there he was, all dirty and out of breath. His hair was filthy and greasy, eyes bulging and haunted. His clothes were ripped and old, hands shaking when he pulled me in for a hug."
Taehyung couldn't help but let his eyes water, he didn't know the boy but his Jungkook was silently crying beside him.
"They tried to break him. They tried to convince him that homosexuality was wrong. They tried to brainwash him to believe what they were saying. But he was stronger, smarter than all of them... They never got to him."
Taehyung could hear Jimin's small whimpers as Yoongi told the story, terrified that it would happen to him next.
"He escaped the place; he came running back to us. But he didn't stay, we helped him pack a bag and he left town the next morning. He didn't want us to keep in touch for obvious reasons, but he wrote me a letter a few months after he left... The last I heard he was working and had an apartment in the city. Said he felt free for the first time in his life and that he was seeing someone."
"W-Who's doing this? Who's they?" Taehyung asked desperately, trying to figure out who could orchestrate such thing.
Yoongi looked at Jungkook one last time before turning to him,
"Your father."
