Beth lied down, happily resting her head on a pillow and feeling Robin's arm pressed against her own. She was warm, cozy, and happy. The girls precence definitely cleared her mind.

She was also feeling the little sparks lighting up on her stomach every time the person next to her moved even slightly.

They were so close.

"Hey, Robin?"

"Yeah?"

"Ask me something. You know, test how messed up I actually am right now."

"Okay." Robin turned to her side. "What's your favourite color?"

Beth laughed and shook her head. "No! What a lame question. Ask me something else."

"Nu-uh." Robin pointed her finger at Beth's face. "Don't change the rules!"

"What rules?"

"Isn't this truth or dare?" Robin furrowed her eyebrows.

"No!" Beth giggled. "It's just.. questions."

"Well, answer the question." Robin smiled.

"Fine, it's blue." Beth answered. "Another one, thank you!" The girl grinned, watching Robin's face as she was clearly thinking.

"Okay." Robin spent a while, figuring out a good question.

"I think I've got a good one now." She looked back at Beth. "What is your biggest secret?"

"My biggest secret?" Beth repeated.

"Yeah."

There was only one possible answer to that. Beth suddenly felt like she was really snapping out of the haze created by the alcohol ingested; her brain was starting to work again, since it was going trough all of the possibilities.

This seemed like the perfect moment. Would she dare to tell Robin? Her weird crush on the girl was definitely not fading, no, infact her feelings were stronger than ever.

Screw it.

"Well..." Beth breathed out after quite a while.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Robin said, sweetly.

"No, no, I-I want to tell you."

Robin stayed silent.

"I kinda like this one.. person." Beth slowly said.

Robin nodded, encouraging Beth to continue.

"We have so much fun together. Honestly, I've never met anyone as funny as this person. But, uh, there's a problem. And the problem is that.. this person is my best friend. I had a crush before we even became friends. And now -now that we got like, so close, I thought that I didn't even have a crush anymore. But turns out I do." Beth took a deep breath in. "I know, I know what this sounds like. I'm just another dumb teenage girl, who thinks her crush is the most important thing in the world. But.. there's a bigger problem in my.. crush." Beth stopped for a second, but Robin didn't interrupt her. Infact, the girl didn't react at all. There's no going back now.

"I'm not supposed to have a crush on this person. It's not acceptable. From society's perspective, you know. And- and- I've been holding all this inside for so long, and it's taking everything in me not to kiss her right now."

Beth took a deep breath. The silence of the room was heavy on her chest and her heartbeat was speeding up.

"Her?" Robin breathed out.

Beth couldn't see Robin's face, but god, she hoped that she was smiling. Or anything.

"Mhm." She mumbled, biting on her lip.

The girls stayed silent for a while: just laying next to each other, very aware of each other's precence. Beth's mind was going crazy.

"Robin?" She softly asked.

"Yeah?" The other girl's voice trembled just a bit.

"Do you know who I was talking about?" Beth whispered.

"I think I do."

"Well, uhm.. what is the girl thinking right now?"

"She's thinking- she's thinking that her dream has come true."

Beth's mouth dropped open, and a wawe of relief washed over her body. Just as she was about to say something, Robin continued.

"'Cause this girl.. she has been so.. lost. She relates to all those, things, you said."

Robin slowly turned to look at Beth again, and the other girl did the same.

"You're the girl." Beth whispered.

"Yeah." Robin smiled. She swallowed thickly and started speaking again: "I've always.. seen you. I always wondered what you were like; you sat with the cool kids, and I didn't. So, uhm, I was never brave enough to talk to you. And then that one day-" she laughed a bit, making the other girl's smile widen. "Then I ran into you and dropped your chemistry books."

Beth was just staring into her eyes, internalizing those sweet words.

"I think that was the day I- I, fell for you." She finished, looking at Beth, feeling happier than she had ever felt.

The other girl softly laughed at Robin's choice of words before continuing to stare at her eyes. Her beautiful eyes.

It was all said now. The pressure in Beth's chest had turned into a feeling, a feeling so good that she thought she couldn't take it. And she knew, that Robin felt the exact same thing.

The girls just laid next to eachother, slowly getting lost in one another's eyes.

This was the perfect moment. A small voice in Beth's head spoke up;

Kiss her.

She started leaning in; closing the space between them. Robin's eyes moved quickly to Beth's lips, as she moved closer aswell. Only inches apart, Beth could feel Robin's breath on her lips, making her mind go hazy.

Their lips smashed together; Robin's hands reached for Beth's cheecks and Beth's we're tangled in her hair. The kiss was soft, but firm. Eventually they broke apart, breathing heavily, forehead against forehead.

"You're gorgeous." Robin whispered before kissing Beth again: this time with more passion, with more desire.

It was perfect. They moved in sync, their lips meeting eachother over and over again, eyes sticking together every time they broke the kiss for air.

Beth stopped to softly caress Robin's cheek, the other girl watching in awe.

"I'm not as drunk as I think I am. At least I hope so." She found herself unable to stop smiling. "I want to remember this." Beth said.

Robin just smiled back, her eyes gleaming.

"I hope you remember it. I know I will never forget this." She said.

"What were you doing up here?" Beth softly asked, changing the subject.

"I just had to get away. The party was too much."

"Yeah. Well, I'm really happy you were here." Beth said.

"And I'm happy you-" Robin stopped. "What were you doing here?" She asked.

"I.." Beth laughed. "I stumbled into the wrong room."

Robin started giggling, curling up on the bed.

"It's not that funny!" Beth said even though she too was laughing.

"It is!" Robin stopped to hold Beth's face between her hands. "I'm happy you stumbled here."

The girls giggled again, nestling closer to eachother.

"Well, do you think we should get back?" Beth suggested. "We can leave, if you want to. I don't care, I just wanna be with you."

Robin smiled at her words.

"Let's go back."

The party was still going. Neither of the girls knew how long they had spent upstairs, but not much seemed to have changed. Beer was still going strong- and so was the music.

They reached the living room -the heart of the party- again, and Beth soon catched up on a familiar melody.

"I love this song!" The girl shouted over the music. She took Robin's hand firmly and started pulling her towards the dancefloor.

"Beth. Beth? No, no, What are you doing?" Robin whined, pulling back.

"We are going to dance. C'mon, Robin. If this isn't the perfect song, what is?"

Robin smiled sweetly, but still refused: "I don't even know this song."

"It's Space Age Love Song."

"Were you like, born with this superpower of knowing every song on the planet, or is it just the job at the music store?" Robin asked, smirking.

"Probably both." Beth smiled and squeezed Robin's hand. "Let's do this, Robin. You know you'll love it."

"No!" Robin laughed. "Okay? I'm not gonna dance to a stupid love song."

Beth gave her a mother-ish look and then shook her head. "Yes, yes you will."

She started leading Robin to the dancefloor again and this time, the girl didn't resist.

They blended into the crowd; yet still managed to never let go of eachother. Robin held Beth's hands, spinning her around and around. They looked absolutely ridiculous. The music absorbed into their minds, leaving no space for anything else. They danced like there was no one else in the room, stepped on other's foots, laughed, held eachother and swayed back and forth.

It was the best thing ever. There was no one else they'd want to dance with, it was perfect with just the two of them. The moment that had happened minutes ago was still living in both of their minds, making every second together even better.

This was the best night ever.
