《The Prince's Stubborn Mate》Chapter 32- Try

Demetri leant down and kissed me as he ran his fingers over my breasts. I gasped as he trailed kisses over my neck and down to my chest taking my right nipple into his mouth and sucking lightly while his other hand played with my left.
I let out a small moan when he sucked harder sending sharp arrows of pleasure down to my core.
We were both naked and spread out on a large king sized bed with deep blue sheets.
Crawling between my legs, Demetri littered small kisses all over my chest as he positioned himself at my entrance.
"I love you." He said staring into my eyes.
Just as I opened my mouth to respond, there was a loud annoying beeping coming from beside my head.
Ripping my eyes from Demetri's naked, well toned body I turned my head to the side to see a ticking time bomb. Literally!
I started struggling to push Demetri away but he just smiled and kissed my neck.
"Get up!" I screeched"We're going to blow up!"
I said but he refused to move, turning back to the bomb, I watched it count down from five right to one before it blew up.
I jumped from my sleep gasping for breath, that was horrific.
Now I know what the beeping bomb sound was. I thought bitterly, reaching over to turn off my alarm.
Gotta get up and start the day. I groaned and dragged myself from the bed and into the bathroom.
After taking a quick shower and other essentials, I dressed in a pair of yellow jeans paired with a long sleeved multicolored shirt and black boots.
Standing before my mirror, I looked at my reflection, and despaired over my hair. The thick curly mass of puffy red hair stuck up in all directions.
Unwilling to do anymore than simply brush my hair out, I grabbed my hair brush and proceeded to not so gently brush my hair out.
After about twenty minutes of vigorous brushing, my hair laid down in tamed waves along my back.
I grabbed my black backpack and my phone after slipping it into a multicolored case then made my way downstairs into the dining room where my family was congregated.
"Morning." I muttered dropping my bag on the carpeted floor by the door of the dining room.
I swiftly glanced at my phone to find that i had less than twenty five minutes to get to school.
It takes me ten to fifteen minutes to drive to school and way more than twenty five minutes to walk to school.
If I'm late, I'll get a detention and I have football practice later.
"Jessy, come sit and have breakfast." Mom said seating herself on a cushioned chair around the dining table.
"I can't I'm already late." I said walking over to the table.
I grabbed four pieces of bacon from the platter in the center of the table and quickly gulped down Cindy's glass of orange juice with some complaints from her.
"Later laters." I said waving as I grabbed my bag and ran into the kitchen to take out my take away cup.
After pouring some coffee into the cup, I added four spoons of sugar, took a granola bar and a pack of cheese ruffles from the cupboard, I ran out the door and down the driveway.
Stepping through the gates, I became aware of the silver Audi parked across the street from my house.
As I narrowed my eyes at the vehicle, the door to the driver's side opened and a very sexy Demetri stepped from the car.

I blushed instantly as my eyes landed on his sweatpants clad lower body and the dark gray long sleeved T-shirt which stretched tightly over his broad muscled chest.
"What are you doing here?" I asked walking across the road to him.
"I didn't think you would call me even if you didn't have a drive." He replied pulling me into him and wrapping his arms around me.
My body heated up as I hugged him back. My face flaming with the memory of my dream and the position we were in.
"Let's go, I'll take you to school." He said opening the door to the passenger's side and letting me in.
Demetri climbed back into the car and began driving me to school.
"You're very quiet." Demetri observed quietly as we sat in silence for a good portion of the drive. "Is something wrong?"
My face burned even more and I wondered if he could still read my thoughts as my mind flashed back to my dream.
I heard a light chuckle beside me and frowned.
"Yes Jessabell, I can still hear the thoughts that run through that beautiful head of yours." He said.
"Shut up." I sulked and he laughed harder.
"It's okay." He said in an attempt to placate me. "I think about you like that sometimes too."
"Please be quiet." I begged and he smiled.
"Okay, I'll stop. Do you have practice this evening?" He asked and I nodded .
"Alright then, I'll pick you up at four fifteen." He said as he turned into the parking lot of the school.
I shook my head in refusal of his offer. I really don't want to see him this evening, if I do, I might die of embarrassment.
"It's fine, you don't have to. I'll get a drive with Monique." I said hurriedly.
"I wasn't asking Jessabell." He said parking, "I'll come and get you, don't leave."
Something picked at the edge of my memory and I grabbed my head with a slight groan.
"What's wrong?" Demetri asked snapping off his seatbelt and leaning over to peer at me worriedly.
"My head."
"Did you remember something?"
"No, not really." I sighed as the pain began to ebb.
"Those words seem familiar and related to this setting. You know, like déjà vu." I explained watching his expression morph into one of horror before he rapidly concealed it.
"You're okay now?" He asked and I nodded, grabbing my cup of coffee out of the holder and taking my bag from the back seat.
"I'll see you later." I said moving to open the door but was stopped by Demetri pulling my hand and making me turn to face him.
He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine and before my mind could catch up, my lips were already kissing him back.
Our lips molded together perfectly and I reached up to hold his cheek as we kissed.
Demetri pulled away and I gasped for breath.
"You should go before I tear off your clothes." He said, his voice deep and husky as he stared at me with lust filled eyes.
My eyes widened and I squeaked a quick 'bye', before exiting the car.
I walked over to the silver tundra where Dallas was speaking with a girl.
The girl had blonde hair with pink and green high lights, light blue jeans stuck to he slender legs like a second skin, while the black t-shirts fit loosely to the top of her body.

She looks familiar from sideways, but I can't recall where I know her from.
"Hey shortness!" Dallas acknowledged my presence as I went to stand beside him.
"Hey stupid." I replied hugging him, then I turned to look at the girl from the front.
I noticed her light blue eyes staring at me with confusion, she had snake bite piercings and a black nose ring, her silver eyebrow ring flashed in the sunlight.
I squinted my eyes at her and she flashed me a smile.
My mind flashed back to a time when she flashed that same smile at me, then a conversation about her crushing on Dallas McQuaid, then a scene in a food court where we try to decide on a restaurant to eat.
"Jess!" Dallas called my name and I flashed out of my recently recalled memories.
"Yeah?"
"What do you have first?" He asked and I frowned trying to remember.
I went over my time table from Monday to Tuesday and noticed that I have Algebra. Uggh numbers!!
"Algebra." I mumbled miserably. "Freya what do you have?" I asked and her eyes widened.
"You remember me?" She asked shocked,
"I do now." I told her and she shrieked as she launched herself at me, wrapping her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist.
Catching her, I staggered back a bit so that Dallas had to hold me up. She's not very light.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you remember me." He squealed in my ear.
"Yeah," I sighed "Get the fuck off me." I said chuckling slightly.
"Sorry," she said climbing off me as Dallas laughed.
"So what do you have Fre?" Dallas asked.
Oooh, he shortened her name. I just remember that Dallas told me they're mates. Too romantic.
"I have Algebra too, I'm in your class Jessabell." She said and I frowned and scratched my head. Really?
"Since when?"
"Since always, they put me in advanced Algebra, Trigonometry and Chemistry." She said proudly.
"Smart girl. I hate all those subjects." I muttered as the bell rang.
Dallas grabbed his bag and walked Freya and I to class.
Needless to say, class was boring as hell, and the entire day continued much the same.
Freya had lunch with me as we sat with the cheerleading squad and the football team. She sat between Dallas and I. I noticed Dallas playing with her fingers alot.
After lunch, I had two classes and then football practice. Coach had us pushing the heavy things then run through the game play five times before we had to do ten rounds of laps.
I had noticed Demetri sitting with Freya about half way through training.
By the time we were finished, I was ready to fall down. Tiredly trudging back to the bleachers collapsing beside Dallas who reached before I did.
"I'm tired as fuck." I mumbled watching Demetri and Freya walk towards us.
"You look horrible." he mumbled squatting before me and smiling at me.
"I feel horrible, I'll just change and come." I told him allowing him to pull Me up.
I went to change with the rest of the cheerleaders. After a quick shower, I put my clothes back on and pulled my hair into a loose ponytail.
"Laters girls." I said, hearing a chorus of 'byes' as I exited the girls locker room, grabbing my backpack on the way out.
Demetri and Dallas were speaking when I returned. Demetri took my bag and walked me to his car after I hugged Dallas goodbye.
"Are you okay?" Demetri asked after a little over five minutes of silently driving.
"Mmhmm." I hummed tiredly fighting to stay away.
It's almost seven in the night and I'm dying to sleep.
"You're tired."
"You're very observant, aren't you?" I commented sarcastically and he reached over to poke my cheek.
"I was stating a fact. My sister said you remember her."
"Yeah, I do. I saw her this morning and she looked very familiar but I couldn't remember where I've seen her before, then she smiled and I remembered the first time we met and that seemed to trigger all my other memories if her." I delivered in one breath.
"It's a wonder you don't remember me." He mumbled and I sighed.
"I'll remember you in time, but i get the feeling that although it hurts you that I don't remember you, you don't actually want me to remember you." I told him looking over at him.
"I don't." He said honestly, glancing at me briefly before turning back to the road.
Demetri turned into my driveway and I reached for my backpack in the backseat.
"I think this could be my second chance with you." He confessed putting the car in park.
"What do you mean?"
"You will never fall in love with me if you remember everything, and I want you to love me. Even if you love me only half as much as I love you, then I'll be happy." He said looking into my eyes.
I kept silent because I didn't know what to say.
"Would you try to make us work Jessabell?" He asked and I hesitated.
"Please? Just try to be happy with me, our ceremony will be on February first and I want you to be comfortable doing the ceremony, I don't want you to feel like you'll be mated to a complete stranger so let me take you out on a date, Friday after school?"
"I have practice Friday." I said blandly. I was very tempted to say yes to us being together.
"After practice?" He inquired and I just nodded.
The megawatt smile that lit up his face left me stunned a breathless.
"I'll walk you inside." He said grabbing my bag from my hand and getting out, coming around, he opened the door for me and I stepped out.
He held my hand as we walked to my front door and for a second, I felt like I was in middle school again where holding hands was the relationship thing.
"I'll pick you up in the morning." he said and I nodded, just as he leaned in to press a kiss to my lips, the front door opened to reveal my mother.
"Goodnight Mrs.Archer." He greeted.
"Demetri." She said coolly, she doesn't like him and I have no idea why. I need to ask one of them.
"Goodnight." I told him stepping into the house.
Mom came in a little bit after I did and I decided to ask about her and Demetri.
"Why don't you like him?" I asked as she stepped into the kitchen as I was sharing my dinner.
I love Spaghetti and meatballs.
"He's a royal asshole." She said and I laughed.
"What did he do?"
"I can't tell, royal orders, you will know when you get your memories back."
"What if I don't get them back?" I asked worried about the current 'what if' situation.
"You will, you have to." She said sounding not so worried, "By the way, these came for you."
She handed me a small white box with a small white envelope on top.
"Who are they from?" I asked and she shrugged.
"Don't know."
"Alrighty then, I'll open them later." I said settling around the table so I could eat.
After dinner, I took a quick shower and dressed in pajamas then did some homework.
Looking at the package on my side table I was swamped by a wave of curiosity. I grabbed the box and pulled it open.
Inside the box was a gold necklace with a silver wolf contained in a glass like structure, inside the glass, there appeared to be orange and black strands of hair, floating around the wolf's tail.
The necklace was small but it had very large details. The ornament was beautiful but I felt as if it wasn't just a simple piece of jewelry.
Tearing open the envelope, I extracted the white paper with neat cursive writing.
Jessabell,
You may not know who I am right now or why you have that necklace, but you will remember eventually. Put these away until you need them and tell no one of them. You will know when it's time for you to use it. Remember that no one should know of this, or else it's your head on the chopping block, not mine.
The letter just ended, there was no name address or anything.
Well this is creepy. But I love my head so I pushed the note into the white box and closed it.
I dug through to the back of my closet where there is a hidden door and pushed the box inside then locked back the door.
I just hope I remember everything. I feel so strange without my memories and I feel like agreeing to try with Demetri will be a big mistake on my part.
