《The Prince's Stubborn Mate》Chapter 21- Plan Z

I rolled over onto my back and blinked my eyes open, only to shut them immediately as the bright sunlight assaulted my vision.
Well that's just great, I thought sarcastically shifting my body on the hard ground beneath my blanket wincing and groaning at the pain that shot through my back and my bottom and also my head. The drummers from my mental marching band are using their drum sticks to beat the walls of my head and also my brain. Like my brain literally hurts. The pain is oh so real.
Squinting my eyes against the bright light, I groaned and rose from my position on the floor. I grabbed my comforter and pillow. And made my way back to my room. As I descended the stairs and walked into my room, my mother, Demetri and my oldest brother Ronald.
Upon my arrival, they all turned to look at me.
"Where have you-" my mother began then changed her question "What happened to your face?" She asked and I blinked at her.
My eyes shifted to Demetri who was dressed in a pair of denim jeans paired with a deep blue tight fitting T-shirt and black sneakers. His black hair was perfectly styled and he looked at me with cool gray eyes.
"Demetri happened to my face." I said stepping past them and depositing my blanket and pillow on the bed.
Turning back to them Ronald opened his mouth and spoke.
"What did you do to my sister?" He growled at Demetri who still stood looking eerily calm.
Aah yes, now I'm your sister. I thought bitterly as I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I couldn't care less about what they were doing in my room.
Finishing up, I walked back into my room to see Ronald up in Demetri's face shouting at him.
"Get out." I said in a firm voice, loud enough that they all heard me, I'm sure they heard me because they all turned to look at me with an expression that asked me to clarify what I just said and so I did.
"You heard me. Get out." I repeated pointing to my door.
"I'm not leaving," Ronald said glaring at Demetri "Not until you tell me what this asshole did to you, and not before you explain why you have a shoe print on your cheek."
"Get. Out. Of. My. Room." I pronounced with accurate precision as I glared at the three of them.
"I think we should go." Mom said, smart woman. I thought stepping closer to my dresser,
"I'm not leaving un-" Ronald stopped abruptly as a small but sharp knife flew past him narrowly missing his head and sticking itself in the door.
Ronald and my mother both turned shocked eyes on me.
"Next one goes to your head." I said twirling the second knife in my hand the blade slightly cutting my delicate flesh in the process. But i didn't mind.
"We'll leave." Mom said and I nodded once as she grabbed Ronald's arm and proceeded to drage his reluctant form from my room.
Demetri, however remained in the room. Ignoring his presence, I grabbed the handle of the knife and plunged it into the surface of my dresser with enough force that multiple cracks radiated from the focal point of the impact. Oh how I wish this was Demetri's chest.
I walked into the closet and chose a suit of clothes, then went to the bathroom, took a quick shower then dressed in the black pants and blue and purple long sleeved shirt with a tree on the front. I applied my make up with careful precision so as to hide the bruise on my cheek but not making it look too much.

Entering my bedroom I found Demetri leaning against the wall beside my bathroom door. I thought I sensed his presence.
"Where are you going?" He asked pushing off the wall and walking behind me into the closet where I grabbed a pair of black and white shoes and swiftly pushed my feet in them completely abandoning socks.
"Answer me." He said still sounding calm. That's unnatural for him. I thought exiting the closet and walking over to my vanity where I kept my jewelry box, I grabbed my blue bracelet with the word love and my necklace with the moon pendant.
Just as I had finished securing the necklace around my neck, Demetri grabbed my upper left arm and turned me around to face him.
"Answer me when I speak to you." He hissed "where are you going?" He enunciated his words clearly.
"Away." I responded flatly trying to pull out of his grip.
"Don't play with me, where the fuck are you going?" He snarled grabbing both of my arms and shaking me violently. My head spun at the force with which he shook me.
"I'm going out. I don't want to be anywhere near you." I hissed at him, "I hate you Demetri, I hate you so damn much."
At my admission of hate, he released me and stepped back as if I had physically slapped him. His facial features contorted into one of pain. True heart rending pain. But I didn't care. After all he didn't care about the pain I had felt last night when he was hitting me so why should I give a damn about what he feels now?
"I don't believe I've hated a person as much as I hate you right now. I will always hate you, nothing will ever change the way I feel towards you." I said to Demetri as he stepped away from me. Turning my back on him, I grabbed my brush and proceeded to brush my hair out.
"I will not stay with you, you may have marked me but I will move heaven and earth to get rid of this mark and break our bond." I said savagely as I continued to brush my hair.
"A bond with an alpha cannot be broken by anyone but the alpha himself." Demetri stated matter of factly.
"As true as that may be, there is alway another way, if one of the mates die the other will be free, the bond will break and the marks will fade." I stated placing the brush back on the vanity and turning to face him. Looking into his gray eyes which were filled with liquid heartbreak that he refused to let spill I continued, "I don't intend to die anytime soon, but I will get rid of this curse that is between us even if I have to kill you to do it."
I tried to step past him hut he grabbed me and pulled me back to him.
"I will never let you go Jessabell," he mumbled into my ear "If you try to kill me, I'll make sure we both go to Hades together."
Pushing at his chest for him to let me go only had him holding onto me tighter than before. He wrapped his arm around my waist holding me flush against him.
I hissed in pain and tried to pull away once again. Demetri noticed the pained sound that escaped my mouth and in one swift motion, he spun me around so that my back was facing him. He lifted my shirt to expose my back.

I can only imagine what my skin must look like. I felt like I broke a rib last night when he pulled me down and I hit my back on the steps, not to mention the giant dark blue bruise on my arm caused by my my fall when he had grabbed me.
The feeling of his fingers on my flesh caused me to flinch and pull away from him. He let me go.
I pulled my shirt down and grabbed my car keys from my bedside table. Then stepped past Demetri and exited my room. I could feel him following behind me, not to mention the seismic waves of guilt which were rolling off his body and mind.
His thoughts of how he would apologize to me for hurting me were making me sick.
Stepping into the kitchen, I saw Angela placing eggs into the tray in the refrigerator.
"Good morning, Ms. Jessabell." She said looking at me with a smile.
"Morning Angie." I said leaning past her to grab a pouch of Capri-sun from the shelf in the frige. "Can you have someone clean my room please."
"Of course ma'am." She replied and I rolled my eyes at her use of the word ma'am.
"There's broken glass on some parts of the floor." I informed making my way out of the kitchen.
Walking into the garage, I unlocked my black Audi a4. As I opened the driver's door and was about to get in, I noticed Demetri standing by the door of the garage and I looked up at him.
"You should probably go home, I'll be out all day." I told him "I wouldn't want you here even if I would have been here, so........" Stopping I pretended to think, then "Byeeeee."
I climbed into the drivers seat wincing as my butt made contact with the leather seat of the car. Owie. I thought as I buckled my seatbelt, started the car and drove away from the house.
Turning the radio on, I put in a CD with a bunch of my favorite songs from various artists. My initial plan for today was to just spend my day in my room being depressed and sulk about knowing Demetri. But upon seeing him this morning, I changed my mind.
Taking my phone from where I had thrown it on the front passenger seat, I used one hand to dial Elzora's number. I called three times and she didn't answer.
Elzora Laveau is a voodo priestess, she lives on the outskirts of the werewolf community. She lives in a little house right by a swampy place. She's famous but feared, people normally only go to her for help in a crisis. She's not someone you would normally want to associate with. People say that black magic is really strong and it never fails to do what it's suppose to.
I personally have never been to any voodoo person, but now I feel desperate, and by desperate, i do mean VERY desperate. After searching through almost every available resource that I have at my disposal and not finding anything about getting rid of royal mates without killing them, I have resorted to plan z.
My ringtone blared from my phone which was once again resting on the passenger seat beside me. I picked it up and answered without looking at the caller ID.
"Helou." I said in a sing song voice.
"Miss Jessabell." An unfamiliar, raspy voice filtered down the line. The voice itself was creepy enough to give me goosebumps.
"Who is this?" I asked in a wavering voice.
"Laveau." The voice drawled and I slammed my foot on the break.
What the hell?! How would she know who I am? I've never spoken to her before, I was just calling to make an appointment with her.
"You are coming to see me today." She drawled and I froze. Uhh, no I'm not.
"No, I was calling to make an appointment with you." I explained before a dark husky laugh filled my ear.
"You come today, come now." She said
"I can't" I said simply "Can I come next weekend?" I asked, I can't go now I don't have any money.
"You come now or you will be with your prince forever." She said then hung up.
Well, that was more than enough to get me going. I don't want to be with Demetri forever. It's an ordeal to even be near him for two seconds.
I stepped on the gas driving out to the lonely swampy area where Elzora Laveau lived. She usually comes to the werewolf capital after Thanksgiving every year to do readings and fortune tellings. People says she's good and her readings are normally very accurate but I've never been interested in that kind of stuff.
I parked my car a little off the main road, not willing to drive through the excess amount of mud, firstly because I don't intend to was my car for a while and secondly because I don't want anyone to know where I've been. The mud here is impossible to miss, it's reddish brown with streaks of white in the clumps. Magic mud.
Getting out with my phone, I locked my car and walked along the muddy path to the small wooden house on the swamp. Moving various plants and hanging leaves out of my way as I moved through the thick white fog.
Its just after one PM, why the hell is it so foggy out here?
Hearing a hiss close by my feet, I looked down to see a slim red and black snake slithering on the ground. I jumped over the creature and brushed away a thick clump of overhanging leaves.
"You came." The raspy voice said from the stairs of the house and I looked up at her.
"Madamozelle Leveau." I breathed looking up at the elderly woman before me, her dark wrinkled skin, her pale white hair which was tied on top of her head and her ancient dress gave her a creepy look. But what did me in with the creepy thing was the bright, electric orange eyes staring at me.
I have never layed eyes on this woman but I felt like I knew her. It's strange.
"Come inside Archer." She said stepping aside and tilting her head towards the door to her house, at her movement, the floorboards of the poarch creaked and the closed door slowly opened, revealing beaded curtains which was blocking my view of the inside.
I didn't move, I was scared to go in. I was scared of her.
"Do not worry Jessabell, I don't bite." She rasped in her voice "Come inside, child."
She turned her back and walked along the porch, the floorboards creaked and I hesitated. Hearing a low hiss behind me, I ran up the porch steps and followed her into her creepy little house.
I sincerely hope I don't regret using plan Z

Falling for a Star (Complete)
I had never paid much attention to celebrity gossip or what was going on in Hollywood because that was so far from the lifestyle I lived as a poor college student, working as a barista to save up for my own house after graduation. But then, without my knowledge, my Dad submitted my name into a talk show sweepstakes to win a week with Hollywood superstar Dylan Chase, to see what it's like to live like a celebrity for a week. My Dad thought it would be the perfect chance for me to get out of Iowa, see the world and have an adventure for once. What I found when I got there and met Dylan was the total opposite; a man that was humble, hard working, easy to talk to, and down to earth. Spending a week in Paradise in the guest house of Dylan Chase's Malibu mansion right on the beach, attending a movie premiere on his arm, shopping on Rodeo Drive and eating at five star restaurants was like a dream come true, but sleeping in his bed and falling for a guy from a completely different world than me was never part of the plan because we could never end up together.
