Thursday morning Alex arrived at HYBE more nervous than she could remember. The board had asked to meet with her and she had no idea what for. Ji-Hoon watched her pace around the office. "You're making me anxious, would you sit and calm down already."

She sat and rested her chin on her fist, "The fact that you don't seem to be curious at all about this makes me question our friendship. I'm about to meet with the entire board and I don't even know what about. You don't think that's something to be nervous about?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "They call people in for meetings all the time. That doesn't mean its something bad." He had to work hard not to smile, knowing what they were calling her in for.

Alex let out a huff, "I just want it to be over with so I can breath." Her phone vibrated on the desk.

The intercom on her desk beeped, "Alexis, they're ready for you."

She took a deep breath and let it out, "Wish me luck." She patted Ji-Hoon on his shoulder before she walked out.

He smiled to himself, "You won't need it."

Alex walked up to the conference room doors and stopped to steady her nerves. Are they not happy with the documentary? Had she done something to upset them? Her thoughts were spinning, but she composed herself. "You're a big girl, you got this." She nodded her head then walked in.

The board members sat at their tables and smiled as she walked in. She took her seat and waited for whatever came next.

"Good morning Alex, it's nice to finally meet you." Bang PD greeted her.

"It's nice to finally meet you as well."

"I'm sure you're wondering why we called you in here today."

She let out small nervous laugh, "It's safe to say I am curious. I hope you're all pleased with how the project is going."

"Oh, absolutely. The edits that have been sent over are everything we hoped for. We have no doubt it will be a huge success."

"That is great news to hear." She fidgeted with her fingers under the table.

"What we wanted to discuss today is your future with HYBE. We've been talking with some of your associates and we've met with the group. We feel that your work over the last several months has been everything we expected, and more. In addition to your previous success before teaming with us, your rapport with the group and accolades from your peers have cemented our decision as a board. We want you to join the HYBE team. We would like to bring you on as the personal publicist for BTS, exclusively. "

Alex forgot to breathe. They were offering her a position with Hybe? She would get to work with the guys? She felt an overwhelming wave of emotion come over her. She dug her nails into her palms to snap herself out of it. " What would you expect of me in this position?"

"Specifically you would work on promotions and media related correspondence. Wherever they go, you go. Both as a group and on their individual endeavors, you will be with them as the first hand source for any details we share with the public and through our platforms. We feel your in-depth time with them has allowed you to experience them on a personal level, giving you first hand views on how best to showcase them as BTS and individually."

Alex nodded her head. Was this really happening? "How soon would you want me to start? Would this require me to relocate permanently?"

"As soon as you are able to sever your current employment. We would require you to be here part of the time as the group fulfills their obligations with performances, promotions and such. If one of them has to travel for anything we would want you to go with them as well. Any time not required by their schedule, you can work remotely from anywhere you want."

Alex's heart was pounding in her chest. Her thoughts were racing, and she was trying not to jump out of chair from excitement.

"I am honored that you would consider me for the position. Nothing would make me happier than to be a part of this company. You understand that there are a few things I need to consider as this will be a big change for me?" They nodded. "Could I have a day to go over the details and let you know my final decision tomorrow?"

"Absolutely. We'll provide you a copy of the contract to go over as well as the expectations of the position. We look forward to hearing your answer."

"Thank you." She got up from her chair and bowed to them before she left. The assistant handed her the documents to take with her as she left to go back to her and Ji-Hoon's office. When she got back, she set the papers on her desk and slowly sat in her chair. She still couldn't believe everything she had just heard.

"So . . . . how did it go?" Ji-Hoon was looking at her expectantly.

She slowly turned her head to look at him then squinted her eyes at him, "You knew, didn't you?"

He sheepishly nodded his head, "I couldn't say anything. So, will you accept?"

She let out a huff, "I told them I would give them my answer tomorrow. There's something I have to do first."

She took her phone and went out into the hallway.

She walked down the hallway to Yoongi's studio and nocked on the door. When he opened it she launched herself at him and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Yoongi laughed as he caught her and stumbled back, "I take it the meeting went well?"

She leaned back to look at him, "Well? I couldn't have possibly imagined what they were going to say. I was completely caught off guard. Do you know what this means?! I don't have to leave!" She did a little victory dance.

Yoongi slid his hands into his pockets and watched her celebrate. He felt the same way inside. His Lex was going to stay. They would be working side by side and they wouldn't have to struggle as hard to make their relationship work with the distance being less of a factor now.

She finally calmed down and looked at him, "So everyone knew but me?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "They wanted us to make the decision as a team to bring you on. The vote was unanimous," He gave her a side grin.

She ran her hands through her hair as she began to pace around the studio, "There's so much I need to do. I have to send my letter of resignation, I need to figure out what to do with my apartment," she stopped and her eyes went huge, "I need to call my mom and tell her!"

Yoongi walked over and put his hands on her shoulders, "Lex, one thing at a time. Why don't you go call your mom first, then work on the rest tomorrow. Just enjoy the moment for now." He ran his thumb across her cheek then kissed her forehead. "Now, I need to get back to work. We'll celebrate tonight."

"Yes, and I want the rest of the guys there too."

"You got it." He watched her bounce out the door as she left.

By the end of the week she had submitted her acceptance of the position to the board, and turned in her resignation at DYK. Her mom had been sad she would be living so far away most of the time, but was excited she would be experiencing a new adventure. They made plans to have a farewell dinner when she got back to the states to deal with her apartment and pack her things to be shipped over to South Korea.

The final concerts of the tour were coming up the following weekend, and Alex and Ji-Hoon would be working on the last of the filming and edits once they were over. She had never been so overwhelmed and elated at the same time. There were so many things to get done, but it was all because of the documentary that her life was now completely changed.

The guys had been so happy for her the night they celebrated over at Yoongi's. She couldn't wait to get started as their publicist. Her heart was full, and she couldn't have been more grateful for the opportunity she had been given.
