《Loving Min Yoongi: How To Love Him》Chapter 57

That Sunday they arrived in Mumbai. On Tuesday morning the group had met in the suite for breakfast before they headed out that day. Jungkook had decided he wanted to go bungee jumping. The rest of the guys weren't eager at the idea but said they would go along to watch. When they got to the jump location, Jungkook was ecstatic.

"You guys! It's been so long since we did this. No one else wants to jump?"

Hobi and RM shook their heads vigorously, while Tae and Jimin seemed to be in the middle. Everyone there had bungeed before except Alex. The memory was still too fresh in their minds to want to repeat it. Finally, Jimin said he would do it also. He looked over at Alex.

"What about you Alex? We've all done it before, have you?"

Alex shook her head, "Nope, and hadn't planned on it any time soon."

"Oh, c'mon Nuna, it will be fun. I promise you'll love it!" Jungkook was trying his hardest to convince her.

Alex was still hesitant, "I don't know."

Yoongi had been more than happy to stay grounded that day. He wasn't a fan of heights, and probably would never had tried bungee jumping if it wasn't for their group challenges back in the day.

Alex was still debating, "I've thought about trying it before, but I think I would freak out at the top and chicken out."

Before he knew what he was saying Yoongi stepped up next to Alex and offered to go with her, "I'll jump tandem with you so you don't back out."

Alex looked over at him shocked, "Are you serious?"

"Sure, it'll be less scary going with someone." It would absolutely still be scary.

Alex thought about it for a minute and finally agreed, "Ok, I'll go if you go with me."

"Yes!" Jungkook and Jimin high fived. "This will be awesome!"

The instructor came over and asked who was going first. Jimin raised Alex and Yoongi's hands, "They will." Yoongi and Alex both gave him a dry look.

They followed the instructor over to the platform while they listened to the instructions, they were fitted into harnesses, then connected together for their tandem jump.

"You sure about this?" Yoongi looked down at Alex as they stood waiting.

"What? Are you trying to talk me out of it now?"

"No, just making sure you're comfortable." He gave her a wink. He wouldn't dare let her know he was doubting his decision.

The instructor signaled for them to come to the edge of the platform. They coordinated an awkward side step to the edge since they were connected by their harnesses. Alex peaked down out of the corner of her eye.

"Oh my gosh, that's further than I thought."

"Don't think about it, just look at me." He wrapped his arms around her as the instructor started the countdown.

Alex also wrapped her arms around him as she looked up at him. She was nervous enough to throw up, but being with him gave her enough courage to still want to do it. 3, 2, 1 . . . .

Yoongi raised his eyebrows at her to make sure she was ready, she nodded her head, then they both pushed off. Alex wasn't ashamed that she scream as the fall began, but it quickly turned into laughter. Yoongi had closed his eyes and yelled as well, but when he heard her laughing he opened them to see her. She was looking at the ground and then at him, and absolutely loving it.

As they reached the bottom and began the first snap back up, Yoongi tightened his grip around her then relaxed as the rest of it was a piece of cake from here on out. They bobbed for a few minutes and finally came to a rest. Alex was still grinning from ear to ear. "OMG! That was amazing!" She grabbed Yoongi by the face and planted a smacking kiss right on his lips. "Let's do it again!"

He laughed at her enthusiasm, "I think that's enough for one day, but it was definitely better with someone this time around."

When they finally got back down on the ground and back with the group, Alex was still floating from the excitement. She high-fived Jungkook and Jimin before they headed up for their turns. Yoongi had gone to sit while they watched them. He didn't want to admit to Alex that his legs had gotten a little shaky.

Alex grabbed a couple of waters and took one to Yoongi while they waited for Jungkook's jump. "I can't believe I just did that! Thank you for getting me to do this, that was one of the coolest things I've ever done." She beamed at him while she took a drink of her water. Yoongi smiled at her and decided he didn't mind the jelly legs after all. Anything that put a smile like that on her face was worth it.

Later when they got back to the hotel, the guys split off to their rooms to get some rest. Yoongi walked Alex to her room. "Tomorrow night, you and me. I have one of the guards taking us out in the evening."

"Are you sure no one will see us?" She was still being cautious about the two of them going out alone.

"Yes, we made sure this won't cause any issues. Just wait, you'll see tomorrow." He gave her hand a light squeeze then went to his room.

The following evening, Alex went down to the garage to meet Yoongi. The guard opened the door for her to get in, he was already waiting in the back seat for her. "Ready?"

She nodded her head, "So, where are we going?"

"You'll see." He took her hand as they drove off.

Alex was watching out the window. They pulled into a gated lot and in the center of the lot was a helicopter on its landing pad. Over to the left was a covered seating area where people could wait for their flight. However tonight, there was no one else waiting. Instead, there was a small table set up for them to have dinner. Alex slowly turned her head to look at Yoongi.

He smiled at her, "What do you think? Dinner and a helicopter ride with no one in sight."

She was touched he went to this much trouble for them to be able to go out and do something where they wouldn't have to worry about someone seeing them. She clapped her hands excitedly and jumped out of the car.

They walked over to the table and sat down to eat as the sun set. Yoongi poured them some wine into plastic cups. It was like going on a picnic, and sweetly romantic. Alex watched Yoongi as he surveyed the view around them. He looked relaxed and content.

"Did you have to go through a lot of trouble to plan this?" Alex was sipping her wine.

Yoongi shook his head as he shrugged his shoulders, "Not really, just threw a little extra to the pilot to book out the rest of the night."

Alex stared at him, "Oh, is that all?" She didn't even want to think about how much "a little extra" was.

He leaned forward and rested his chin on his fist while he gave her a small smile. "Money doesn't matter if it means I get to spend time with you without you having to worry."

Alex looked down shyly, he could still catch her off guard at times. "Thank you. I'm sorry it has to be like this, but you figured out a way, and it's perfect."

The pilot came over to see if they were ready for their flight. Alex took Yoongi's hand when he held it out to her, "This will be easier than the bungee jump." They walked over to get on the helicopter. Once they were buckled in and had their headphones on, they gave the pilot a thumbs up to let him know they were ready. The ascended into the air and off they went.

Alex looked out the window in wonder as they flew over the city of dreams. She had never been in a helicopter before. Seeing the city below lit up at night was beautiful. The pilot veered left towards Marine Drive. Alex leaned over Yoongi to look out the window on his side. He leaned back to give her a better view. He stroked his hand up and down her back while he watched her looking at the city below. He wanted to give her more moments like this, to see the excitement on her face. He leaned forward and softly kissed her cheek.

Alex turned to look at him. Despite everything that had been happening around them lately, she could still count on him to keep her grounded. If he wasn't the man he was, she didn't know if she could handle it all, but he was exactly what she needed. He had become a concreted fixture in her life. The depth of her feelings for him continued to grow. The thought still scared her at times. She leaned back in her seat and rested her head on his shoulder as he held her hand. She pushed those thoughts out of her head for now and focused on enjoying the moment.

When they landed back at the lot, they thanked the pilot and headed back to their car for the guard to take them to the hotel. When they arrived, Yoongi wasn't ready to end the night yet. "Do you want to have a drink on the suite balcony?"

"OK." They headed down the hallway to the suite. He poured them each a small glass of whiskey.

As they sat and looked out, a small breeze was stirring around them. Alex sipped her whiskey and took in the silence. It was one of the things she appreciated about Yoongi. They could sit together without the need for talking, and just enjoy each other's company.

Yoongi looked over at her, "What are you thinking about?"

Alex glanced at him then back out over the rail, "Just how nice it is to sit here with you like this."

Yoongi nodded his head in agreement, "I know things haven't been easy lately. But, I think nights like tonight show we can make this work."

Alex looked back at him. This new Yoongi believed in possibilities. She didn't want to dim that hope inside of him with the doubts still shadowing the back of her mind. "Let's try to always find a way."

They continued enjoying the night air while they finished their drinks. Thinking about an unknown future, but hoping for the best.
