《Loving Min Yoongi: How To Love Him》Chapter 30

That weekend on the flight back to South Korea, everyone was in good spirits, happy to be going home for a short break before they headed to Europe. The guys were making plans to sleep most of the time, as expected. Alex and Ji-Hoon would be busy meeting with the filming staff to start working on the edits from the Asia concerts and interviews.
When Alex got back to her hotel, it felt weird knowing it was just her there. She had gotten so use to being on the same floor with everyone else, but now they were all tucked away in their own homes, Ji-Hoon included. She unpacked her bags, making a mental note to get her laundry done the next day so she could get it over with. She called her mom to update her on everything that had gone on so far. When she got to the parts about Yoongi, her mom was notably worried.
"Alex, aren't you worried about getting in trouble with the company? There could be serious consequences."
Alex rolled her eyes. She and her siblings had always called her the dream crusher. She didn't do it to be mean, she was a realist, always prepared with multiple plans of actions, and thorough research was done before making any decisions. Alex knew her mom meant well and just wanted her to make smart choices.
"Mom, the NDA didn't cover potential blooming relationships. They focused more on discretion and propriety. It's ok. Besides, I'm still not sure what exactly Yoongi and I are. I think we're still testing the waters and getting to know each other. He's a slow mover, and I'm ok with that."
"Well, as long as you are taking your time and being careful. You don't want to do anything that would jeopardize your job, or the boys." Alex was pretty sure her mom was more worried about her daughter making national headlines and bringing attention to the family, than she was about the potential relationship her and Yoongi may be entering. Alex just shook her head and laughed. Her mom always knew how to keep her humble.
"I'm being careful. We are constantly surrounded by staff or the other members for the most part. Don't worry." She sent her some pictures while they talked, and her mom updated her on the happenings with the family back home. She had to admit, she missed them, and she couldn't wait to see them for the holidays.
After she hung up with her mom, she looked around the room trying to decide what to do. She wasn't tired, she was bored. Ji-Hoon would be busy seeing his family, and the guys would all be asleep by now if she had to bet on it. It was still early in the evening, so she decided to head out for some coffee. She was just about to walk out the door when her phone vibrated.
What are you doing?
I thought you would be asleep.
I was just about to head out for some coffee.
I'm not tired yet.
You should get me a coffee and come over to my place.
By myself? Just the two of us?
LOL!
Are you scared?
No, lol! I'm worried about someone seeing me.
Put your hair under a beanie, wear a mask, and wear baggie clothes.
Come in the back entrance. No one will recognize you.
Problem.
I've never been to your house.
I don't know where you live.
. . . . Change of plans
I'm sending Byung-Ho to come get you. He'll be there in 20 minutes.

OK
Alex's stomach was suddenly in knots. She was about to be completely alone with Yoongi . . . . at his house. She ran like a mad woman into the bathroom to throw on more deodorant, brush her teeth, and swipe on some mascara. She quickly changed into baggie grey sweatpants and a black hoodie, then tucked her hair up in a beanie. She put on the mask and took a look in the mirror. Aside from the mascara, you couldn't tell if she was a guy or a girl, so she figured mission accomplished.
She headed down to the lobby and spotted the guard's car at the curb. She went out and got in the front seat. "Hello." He took her to the coffee shop before heading to Yoongi's. On the way she couldn't take the silence. "I guess you get asked to do strange things like this all the time, huh?"
He looked over at her and laughed, "Sneaking a girl into Min Yoongi's place is a first."
Alex's eyes grew wide at that announcement. Strangely, it comforted her knowing she was the first woman to get smuggled in by Yoongi's body guard. She paid attention the rest of the ride to see where they were going so she knew the way, in case there was a next time. Byung-Ho pulled into a back street that led to a rear vehicle entrance to the building. He dropped her at the garage door and told her which floor to go to once she was on the elevator, then he left.
Once she was in the elevator she punched in Yoongi's floor. When the doors opened, she headed left down the hallway to his door, but before she could knock the door flung open and he pulled her inside and slammed the door. "Holy crap, did someone see me?" Alex's heart had started racing when he had pulled her in.
Yoongi was doubled over laughing with his hand on the wall. "You should have seen your eyes!" He continued laughing as she took off her face mask and set the coffees down on a nearby counter. When he had finally composed himself, he looked at her and realized she wasn't laughing with him. He smiled his biggest smile at her, "What?"
"You had me completely freaked out! I thought someone saw us! Here I was worried about us getting caught and you pull that. Oh, just you wait till I get you back for this!" She scowled at him while he continued smiling at her. He put his arm around her shoulders and took the coffee from the counter.
"Don't be mad, I didn't think it would freak you out that bad. Forgive me?" He made a pouting face at her. Hell, she couldn't resist that face. She rolled her eyes and nodded her head. He beamed at her as he led her through the kitchen to the living room.
Alex finally looked around and it hit her. She was in Min Yoongi's house. Her mind suddenly started taking everything in as fast as it could. The living room was a sprawling open room next to the open kitchen. The color tones were different hues of black and charcoal against white. His painting from season one of In The Soop hung on one of the walls. A large flat screen hung on the opposite wall, and led lights accented the shelving below. The furniture pieces were simple and modern, but looked comfortable and inviting. Fresh tangerines were in a bowl on the sofa table, and a piano was displayed in the corner next to a large sliding glass door, with a small balcony that overlooked the river. Up on this floor, you felt secluded, but not cut off from the world outside. It was so . . . . him.

"Wow, your place is amazing! It's manly, with just a touch of soft. Did you pick any of this out or did you have a decorator?"
"I picked some things out and gave a general direction of what I wanted. The decorator did the rest." He slid their coffees out of the holder and handed her one.
"Can I have the grand tour?" She smiled at him and fluttered her eyelashes.
He laughed at her, "Sure, come this way."
He led her back through the kitchen down the hallway. The first door to the left was a guest room. Directly to the right was his music room where he had several instruments and recording equipment that were his personal pieces outside of his studio at HYBE. Further down the hall on the left was a bathroom. When he got to the end of the hallway to the right he opened the door to his bedroom. His room had dark charcoal walls and low lighting. His bed was on a platform, decorated in a white comforter and white sheets. His closet and bathroom put her hotel room to shame. She would have killed for a closet that size back home. On the far wall was another large sliding glass door that overlooked the river with a balcony, just like in the living room. She could picture waking up in the morning and sipping on coffee as she stood on the balcony watching the river below.
She suddenly realized where her thoughts had gone and turned to look at Yoongi. His cheeks had turned pink as they both stood there.
"Well, lets go back to the living room shall we?" She hurried past him out the door as he chuckled at her. They settled on the couch with their coffees. Alex was starting to feel nervous again. "So, what do you want to do?" She gave herself a mental smack on the forehead. What kind of question was that?
Yoongi shrugged his shoulders and looked over at the tv. "Wanna watcha a movie?"
Alex let out the breath she had been holding, "Sure, you pick, I'll watch anything."
Yoongi's eyebrows went up at that. He turned the tv on and started surfing the channels till he landed on an action movie. They had been watching for about twenty minutes when Yoongi turned to her with a suspicious look on his face, "Have you seen this movie before?"
"Nope, why?" Alex hadn't seen a new movie in years, she didn't watch much tv anymore.
"I thought girls asked a ton of questions during the movie if they've never seen it."
Alex shook her head, "I don't, that's annoying, I hate when people do that."
Yoongi seemed satisfied with her answer and turned back to the movie. Alex had one leg tucked under her and had grabbed a throw pillow to hold on her lap. She looked at Yoongi from the corner of her eye, he was sitting upright and stiff, he didn't look very comfortable at all.
While still looking at the tv she said, "Are you comfortable? You look like you're about to meet the president with the way you're sitting." She bit her lower lip to keep from laughing.
Yoongi suddenly relaxed and slouched down into the couch. It made Alex feel better knowing he was just as nervous as she was. She was just getting back into the movie when she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. Yoongi's hand was slowly making its way to reach hers. She smiled to herself and flipped her hand over, letting him know it was ok to hold it. He put his hand over hers and intertwined their fingers. They watched the rest of the movie like that, not saying a word.
When it was over, he switched the tv off and put on some music in the background. Alex turned on the couch to face him, "Well, I don't know about you but I just felt like I was fourteen again on my first date." Yoongi blushed and they both started laughing.
"I'll admit, I've been out of practice for a while." He ran his hand through his hair as he shyly looked away.
"Well, that makes two of us." Alex smiled when he looked back at her.
"So, what do you have planned for the next couple of weeks?" Yoongi sipped his coffee while Alex gave him the details of her schedule. It seem they wouldn't be seeing each other much until they left for Europe.
They talked late into the night, about Alex's life back home and growing up. She asked him about the early BTS years and what is was like before they debuted. Not as a reporter, but as someone who wanted to know what Min Yoongi was like back then. He told her about all the hours of practice they went through, and all the obstacles they faced. It was so different hearing it from him than from media and the web. Getting to hear the more personal details grew her appreciation for all of them so much more.
She was checking the time when Yoongi took her hand and flipped her wrist over. He gently traced the dragonfly tattoo with his fingers. "What made you get this?"
She smiled down at it as the memories came flooding back. "A really close friend of mine that I used to work with loved dragonflies. They were like her talisman. She passed away from cancer a couple of years back before I got to see her one last time. The day I found out, I went out and got this so that she would always be with me. She was an old soul. We would sit out on her patio during the summer drinking wine, and laughed till we cried. I miss her all the time."
Yoongi smiled softly at her, "That's the kind of story a tattoo should have."
She smiled back at him then stood up and took their coffee cups to the kitchen. "It's getting late, and you're tired. I better get going."
Yoongi nodded his head, "I think everything finally caught up with me. I'll call Byung-Ho to come take you home."
A few minutes later Yoongi's phone went off. Byung-Ho was downstairs waiting so he walked Alex to the door. Before he opened it, he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her cheek. "Thank you for coming over tonight. I had a really good time."
"I did too." Alex smiled before putting her face mask and beanie back on.
"I'm sorry you have to do that." Yoongi pointed to the face mask.
"I'm not, it protects you guys, and it makes me feel like I'm doing something dangerous." She wiggled her eyebrows at him before leaving. He laughed as he shut the door behind her.
In the elevator, Alex leaned against the wall and took a deep breath in and let it out. After spending the whole evening, just the two of them, she was walking on cloud nine. She knew that would have to get her through the next two weeks until they were back on tour. Her mind wandered back to his bedroom. Flashes of him in a robe drinking coffee while he looked out at the river kept playing in her mind. She wondered what it would be like to join him there, early in the morning, his hair freshly tousled from sleep . . . . She shook her head to snap out of it.
It was going to be a long two weeks.
