Disappointing or worth it?
Tonight is the night! Popee and his fellow companion, Kedamono, is about to give (Y/N) the best day of her life. The two clowns had longed for a moment such as this, a moment of joy with an audience to praise them for their extravagant performance. She may be the only one to watch, but that's something even the two can cherish so deeply.
===[ ⭐️ Starry Performers! ⭐️ ]===
This is stupid, why on earth did I even agree to watch these rookies? She murmured herself while her eyes locked with the performance disapprovingly.
Before the show even started, she actually believed that they would at least take their profession seriously despite their lousiness yet she wasn't surprised when the outcome would be nothing but foolery! She sighed, obviously annoyed.
I never should've stayed, I should've left earlier.
Disappointed and sad, she may be. But the earnest (Y/N) wanted the approval of her sincere apology. She stayed and waited for things to take a better turn, to be expected with more shenanigans from the two crazy performers.
Everything was going quite fine except (Y/N)'s urge to leave and forget about this circus, it reached the point that she wasn't watching anymore. Instead she found something much more interesting, the night skies. Back when she was younger, she used to fear the night for she was afraid that the dark would take her from her home. No wonder why she found herself; wondering endlessly; fearlessly eyeing; the night skies.
She may not have noticed but through out the whole performance, Popee, yes the circus dweller that (Y/N) was really annoyed of. Keenly watched her every movement from his dazzling stage.
Every sway.
Every sigh.
Everything.
He counted them. Sure, he would constantly shift his attention back to his spacious stage but he usually come back to her direction, checking wether she has took a liking to their show. Nothing really happened, she remained the same. Bored as hell.

This reaction of hers wasn't enough. He frowned, knowing she wasn't interested at all. Suddenly she lifted her eyes towards the night skies. (Y/N) kept making this weird face that made him curious to what she was thinking but one thing's for sure, he wanted her to stay like that even for a short amount of time. He wanted her to smile.
He haven't seen her make an expression like that before. Questions flooded his head as he leaned closer to further examine this. It was a face of a pure child like freshly fallen snow. Her face seemed to glow, not that it was shining before it's just glowing a lighter tone; her cheeks brushed with pink; her soft lips redder than ever and her usual dull face; now completely filled with colors.
The speechless pink performer pranced as his stares dug deeper at her wonderful figure. The show went on along with it's shine except for Popee's grooves. He gradually became sloppier until his moves tone down. Keda on the other hand, enjoyed dancing by himself. He eventually stopped then came to ask Popee why he stopped.
(Y/N) just got an admirer.
"Look at (Y/N)," Popee smiled, pointing at her "this is one of the faces I rarely see especially from her!" He whispered-shouted as his attention stayed focus on her. Keda haven't seen him gleeful like that for ages! It may sound weird but Popee changed. He's known for his mischievous doings, but looking at him now; it feels like he's a completely different person... he did change. Interesting.
Popee sighed at his friend's stupidity, knowing he wouldn't understand any of it. But little did he know, Keda knew what's swirling in the starry skies; it was love.
The pink performer wanted to have a better look at her angel-like face. So he decided to come closer. Each second that passes by, the nearer he becomes to (Y/N). His steps quietly leaves a trail of footprints that's bound to disappear, surprisingly it didn't. It stayed there even if the gusts of wind was more than capable of carrying loads of particles from the sand.

"Hey"
That voice! Don't tell me its?
Quickly, (Y/N) turned to her back. Expecting someone else, she was met with the annoying pink performer. Popee shyly smiled as he scratched the back of his bunny hat, he gathered up his courage as he thought of ways to start a conversation up.
This conversation seems rather quiet than what he anticipated. He wanted to let words to spill but nothing poured out.
(Y/N) enjoyed these moments of the finest idiocy. She knowingly smiled; attempting to keep her laughs to herself. Our observant (Y/N) knew he was mostly embarrassed and shy to even start a conversation up!
She didn't mind waiting in complete silence for him to speak, she just really wanted to hear what a twerp like him has to say. The awkwardness started surrounding her and Popee again which she has to admit was pretty unbearable. To end this silly no-talk conversation, she finally spoke, "So how are you?"
He stood in a daze still thinking of words to say and by the time his tongue had caught the right words, he uttered back "Oh me? I'm great? At least I think so."
"You know I gotta hand it to ya, I finally found something worth finding in this circus."
He was irritated a bit but gladly answered back "What are you talking about? Everyone and everything in the circus is worth seeing even me!" At last, our old jerky Popee was back.
"Well yeah, I know that," hearing those words made something flutter in his chest, "but look up there!" Pointing at the sky made her eyes glitter in gold. They're lovely, Popee thought as he occupied one of the empty seats beside her own.
"I haven't seen the skies of the civilized places around here, but I bet our place has a better view of the sky!" His voice filled with such enthusiasm, it almost sounded like it came from a child. Everything he said was quite nice but what truly caught her attention was when he mentioned 'our' instead of my.
"Ours?"
"Yeah, ours! This whole place can be yours too." He winked cheekily then continued "Well, that is if you want to." His broad smile remained in tact but his eyes averted her gaze.
(Y/N) tried changing the subject with something else "Did you know I use to be afraid of the night skies?"
"How'd you expect me to know? I didn't even know you existed in the first place!" Popee joked as his eyes stayed on the skies.
"Just saying."
There was a long pause but their convo continued.
"There are other ways to keep those pesky fears away."
"Oh like what, mister smarty clown?"
"Well by thinking of the things you like of course!"
"Things I like, huh?"
"Now tell me, what are the things you like (Y/N)?"
"Well if it does help then why not? I like ..."
This conversation continued making them forget about the performance.
What an unexpected surprise, to think that this chapter would be about the performance the two performers held specially for tonight. It's not too bad, am I right? I mean, they ended up knowing each other better with the help of trust, of course!
(Y/N)'s previous thoughts about the circus disappeared and Popee's old hooligan self seemed to be tamed every time he's around her. Maybe it's not that disappointing or maybe it is. Should you consider her lucky or should we just say that it's worth it!

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer?
