☹︎
the ball is set to me, a repeat of last time. but the difference is, we're the ones at set point.
i take aim, my hand connects with the ball. l lock eyes with aoba johsais libero for a moment, then hit the ball down directly in front of her.
shiratorizawa wins in four sets.
i land, a stunned look on my face. my teammates surround me, thanking me, hugging me. the third years hug me and cry.
i just stand in the middle of it all, finally feeling like part of the team.
☹︎
rain.
our bus pulls into the parking lot. the two drowsy teams flow out of the bus and go their separate ways.
i'm the last one out. i stand on the last step of the bus for a minute, watching the rain drops fall into the puddles.
"have a goodnight." our bus driver says, smiling sweetly at me.
"thank you, you as well." i smile back.
i step off the bus and into the rain. i speed walk home, knowing my mother has probably left Yuki at home by herself again.
i make it home fast. as i open the front door i hear Yuki running down the hallway.
"[name]? is that you?" she calls out timidly.
"yes it's me. sorry i'm so late." i apologize, glancing at the clock.
"did you guys win today?" she asks, giving me a hug. i nod.
"yeah we did." i smile. "now let's get you to bed okay?"
she nods, then we walk together to her bedroom.
i tuck her in and give her a kiss on the forehead.
"goodnight Yuki." i smile, before walking out of her room and closing the door behind me.
i let out a sigh and walk the bathroom. i have a quick shower then brush my teeth and hair before trudging back to my own bedroom.

"how were your games today?" my soul mate asks.
"good, we won all of them." i tell him. we'll be going to —— in about a month. i'm really excited."
"that's great. my team won our games today too." he puts in. i smile.
"maybe we'll meet at the —— tournament." i say jokingly.
"i couldn't hear the location you said, but maybe. if you're thinking about the same place i'm thinking about." he replies.
"yeah.. maybe we will."
"i'm going to go to sleep. goodnight, have a good sleep."
"goodnight."
"i love you.." i mutter out loud.

Friendly Neighborhood Necromancer
To be taken to another world; isn't that the kind of thing that nearly everyone wishes for once in their life? To use their savvy knowledge of how things usually go in that situation to take advantage, and lead a life where they are the center and in control of their destiny. But in the stories, the one who is brought ends up with a grand power to help them through. Here, a man is brought to a foreign world as his new character in the VRMRPG, Underworld of Armok, at Level 1. In safety there are few benefits, only by taking risks far beyond his level could one proceed. Transported to another world, he wishes to do good and be a hero. Accumulating power to help the less fortunate. There's just one caveat; he's a Necromancer, and his greatest source of strength will probably get him lynched.Quick DescriptionAnother video game/isekai novel. Unfortunately, the MC has crossed over during character creation of a Necromancer and is Level 1. He also lacks the ever so helpful status window.Fair warning, the Friendly Villager Necromancer arc(1) is slow. He does not want to run out into the dangerous world to get killed right after arriving. Sucks to be Level 1, eh? Git gud scrub. It's basically a Slice of Life from his perspective. The Thread, in case you get a bit confused about people/places. [16+] Now probably! For strong language and violence! And anthropophagy and lewd intimations! And stupid jokes and obscure references! And philosophical ditherings and a slow pace! Make peace with the absurd, and come to terms with the terrible!

City of Captives
In the Qursan Empire, the grey walls of the City press down on its subjects. It is a highly divided society which is based on the magical strength of its citizens. While the most powerful are trained as Mages, the majority of citizens use their limited skills with Essence to power the City in their assigned jobs. Jano is pretty much the lowest of the low in the Qursan Empire. A Class Ten citizen forced into transitory work after having his power restricted. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less! This is largely still a draft. I hope to use any comments and reviews in the future. Thanks for reading!
