☹︎
i slowly open the front door and step inside. i take my shoes off and walk into the kitchen.
Yuki sits at the kitchen table eating and watching cartoons on my laptop, while my mother sits on the kitchen counter scrolling through instagram on her phone and drinking a glass of wine.
"you're finally home." my mother snaps. "i'm going to get ready to go."
with that she leaves the room. i glare after her and grab something to eat.
i plop down in the seat beside Yuki and eat quietly, listening to her cartoon.
"how was your day [name]?" she asks, keeping her eyes trained on her show.
"it was good, thank you for asking Yuki. how was yours?" i smile.
"really good! my teacher let us play outside for gym! and at recess Aiko and i played tag with Miko and Tanji!" she beams.
"sounds like a very good day." i say, smiling at her.
she laughs and continues to watch her show. we sit in silence again until my mother walks into the room.
she wears a short red dress, her hair is curled and her lips are a deep red. she slips on her high heels and grabs her keys.
"could you try to come home tonight? i can't bring Yuki to school tomorrow." i request timidly before she walks out the door.
she shrugs them leaves the house.
i furrow my eye brows then turn to Yuki.
"i have to do some homework. i'll just be at the desk in my room okay?" i tell her.
"okay!" she bubbles before bouncing off to the living room.
i smile after her then walk to my bedroom.
☹︎
"Yuki! time for bed!" i call as i walk into the living room.

"can't i stay up a little longer? please, [name]?" she begs. i smile at her.
"no Yuki, you have school tomorrow. i'll ready you a story though." i say.
"okay!" she cheers, running off to get ready for bed. i laugh and follow her.
i take a seat on her bed and wait for her to finish getting ready. i listen to her brush her teeth.
"don't forget to dental floss!" i chirp.
"i won't!" she responds.
a couple minutes later she scurries back into the room and jumps onto the bed beside me.
"what book would you like me to read?" i ask. she thinks for a second then reaches over me to her bedside table.
"this one!" she sings, holding the book out in front of her.
not this one again.
"what do you mean 'not this one again'?" my soulmate inquires.
"reading to my sister. she always picks this book." i respond.
"hm. why don't you read to me too?" he suggests.
"sure if you'd like." i say.
i begin reading softly to my sister and soul mate.
after awhile i'm finished reading. i tuck Yuki into bed and kiss her on the forehead.
"goodnight Yuki, have a good rest." i say as i go to get up.
i'm about to walk away but i'm stopped by Yuki pulling on my shirt.
"can i sleep with you tonight [name]? please? i'm afraid that mommy will bring someone home with her." she pleads. i nod.
"sure, cmon let's go to my room." i say. she hops out of bed and follows me to my bedroom.
i tuck her in once again and slide into bed beside her.
"goodnight."
"goodnight, have a good sleep."

The Monster Inside: The First Vampire
Despite appearances, there was once a time where monsters did not exist. Where peace and prosperity reigned over all life. But those sinful and demonic forces that had hidden themselves in the shadows just couldn't help themselves could they? They wanted a piece of that prosperity too. They wanted to taint it, corrupt it, revel in its dark side. This is the story of a boy who was tainted. Of a boy who unintentionally bore a seed of sin and who in his naivety let it out. This is the story of how that boy was shamed and disgraced. Of how he was outcast for simply being. This is the story of how that boy learned to embrace the darkness that made him different. A darkness that would later make him known as the Lord of Night. Note to Reader: I understand this book is not for everyone, if there is a writer that can write to please everyone, I have never heard of them. The MC can be frustrating in his decisions as he learns to grow and accept what and who he is. I believe this reality is unavoidable. That being said, if you feel the need to give a review, please do so, just know that I will report you if all that review seems to do is blab toxic language and insult my literary choices without giving constructive advice or alternatives. That's not just a me policy, that's a policy of this website. I'm not writing this note because I'm a writer who does not acknowledge that there are faults in my work. I know there are. That's what happens when it hasn't been professionally edited by someone other than the author. I'm saying this because I'm sick of reading 1 star or 0.5 star rated reviews that seem to do nothing but hate on the book because they don't like the story. No comments on grammar, ways to improve or suggestions for better story arcs. Just plain hate. It's not on, and I frankly shouldn't have to write this note, but needed to get it off my chest. In saying all that, thank you to those who do leave reviews that don't fall into the above category. Your appreciation of my work, or alternatively, your willingness to give advice for improvement, is appreciated.

Journey West 5000
With her parents murdered and her brother abducted, a trainee Monk of the Gun pursues the one responsible, the Bull Demon King, undefeated Warlord of the Crimson Army.Struggling to track down her enemy while braving the dangers of the wilds, she enlists the help of Sun Wukong, but 500 years under a mountain have taken its toll. Unstable and weakened, will he be more hindrance than help? Can he become the warrior he once was?A Monk and a Monkey journey across a world...... where the remnants of technology are seen as magic, while pockets of humanity strive to drag themselves out of ignorance.... where the descendants of animal-human hybrids, once created as instruments of war, now seek to dominate the world as demons.... where beings who call themselves Immortals and Gods preoccupy themselves with selfish pastimes, ignoring everything else. Among other things, a story about growth, grit, and being better than the person you were yesterday. Here's my rambling on why I'm writing Journey West 5000. Journey West 5000 is my crazy ambitious writing project to adapt a classic epic called "Journey to the West" for a global, modern audience. It's a sci-fi story disguised as fantasy, and has some road trip + monster of the week elements (as does the original Journey to the West). No system, definitely no harem, gradual power progression. Hmm, what else can I put here so potential readers know what to expect? My writing style for now is mostly "show don't tell", because I believe that readers don't need to have everything pointed out to them, and that they should be allowed to make up their own minds about characters based on the actions of those characters. I'm also trying to be less long-winded (a weakness pointed out by some friends) in order to write according to something Neil Gaiman said, which is to write as though I'm the one who has to pay for every word, not the reader. This will bring down my chapter word counts, and might drive away potential readers, but I believe there's value in learning to compress and be concise. All chapters posted here will have been edited. Constructive criticism, comments, and feedback would be very much welcome and appreciated. Please, please help point out any typos or grammatical mistakes, I'm striving to minimize those as much as possible. Above all, I hope you enjoy my story.

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
