《Hockey Imagines》Jeff Skinner ~ CAR

"Jeff, it's no big deal," I rolled my eyes at my husband and kissed his cheek as reassurance. "You've met my parents before."

"I know, I know," he sighed and plopped down on the bed. "But, it just feels different now..."

"Different how?" My eyes focused on him through the reflection of the mirror as I focused on my eyeliner.

"We're husband and wife, now," he stared up at the ceiling, avoiding making eye-contact.

"Ok, I know that," I rolled my eyes at him again and closed the cap on the eyeliner before grabbing the lipstick and lightly applying it on. "But, still; why are you scared, J?"

"Because," he looked back at me through the mirror, "your dad will hurt me if I hurt you in any ways..."

"Jeff, you have never hurt me throughout our relationship when we were dating, engaged, and now as a married couple." I replied back to him and turned around to face him. "Don't let it get to your head."

"I'll try. Thanks for calming me down..." He blushed and kissed me passionately on the lips. "I love you so much."

"I love you too." I smiled back at him before realizing that I had forgot to tell him the news. "Oh! Before I forget," I pulled away from his hug and strolled into the closet to get him a 'present'. Which was really some baby-themed stuff.

"You didn't have to get me a present, Y/N." He looked at me suspiciously but cracked a smile nonetheless.

"But, I just wanted to tell you something." I chuckled to myself and handed him the bag. Taking the bag from my hand, he peered into the bag and grabbed something out of it.

In his hands was a baby-sized jersey with his name on the back, "Y/N, I think you might've got the wrong size." He joked at the size of the jersey but I immediately shook my head.

"No, the jersey isn't for you, Jeff." I shook my head playfully before grabbing the test and the ultrasound out of the bag. "It's for the little one."

"Wait," he looked between the jersey and the ultrasound, "are we having a baby?" Nodding my head, happy tears were lining along the brim of my eyes, careful not to ruin the makeup. He smiled from ear-to-ear, chuckling to himself as he brought me into his arms and hugged me gently and carefully, not wanting to hurt me or the baby.

"I love you so much," tears of joy started to roll down his cheeks and kissed my cheek before kneeling down on the floor and kissed my flat stomach. "And, I love you too, little Skinner."

"I'm guessing you're happy with the news?" I giggled loudly, playing with his dark brown locks of hair.

"This is honestly one of the best days of my life. Winning the Calder Memorial Trophy doesn't compare to the day you and I got married." My eyes started to water and he quickly wiped away the tears.

"Aww," I cooed at him, "that was just the sweetest sentence you might've ever told me."

"That's because I love both of you with all my heart." His sparkling dark brown eyes looked into my E/C eyes before pressing his lips against mine for a minute before pulling away. "Now, we should probably head downstairs since your family might be waiting..." He took my hand and led me to the door and opened it to find them on the other side.

"You heard the conversation? Damn it!" I laughed before shaking my head in a playful manner, "I was looking forward to telling you guys..."
