"I am not so sure about this, Y/N...." Dmytro gulped nervously as we walked up to the haunted house.
"Dmytro, you'll be alright. I promise you, it's not that scary." I giggled out loud and shook my head. Kissing his cheek as a sign of always being there for him, I took his hand in mine and led him into the haunted house.
"All right..." Dmytro started to walk around the house with his confidence building up, "this isn't so bad, after all-" And just like that, a clown sprung open from the closet, making him shriek in horror. "Oh my god! That was the most horrifying thing I've ever experienced in my life!"
I shrugged my shoulders nonchalantly and shook it off, "meh. It wasn't that scary, to be honest." Walking up to a mirror covered in cobwebs, I stared at the reflection of myself before I saw a ghost jump out of nowhere.
"Oh, crap!" I screeched in a high pitch, which made Dmytro laugh. "Not funny, Dima." I gave him a death stare and all he did was roll his eyes at me.
"Now, you feel me, Y/N?" Dmytro cracked a smile at me as he gently kissed my forehead. Rolling my eyes, I nodded my head and decided to continue with roaming around the haunted house.
---
"Y/N? Where are you?" I heard Dmytro's voice shout out, which had the effect of me call out where I was.
"Over here, Dima." My hands flew up in the air and waved over at Dmytro. He followed using the clues where I standing. As soon as he reached the room where I was located at, I pointed towards the coffin that was on display in the middle of the room.

"Ok, that is actually pretty creepy..." Dmytro's green eyes widened at the sight of the coffin. "Should we open it to see what's inside?"
"You basically volunteered, so go right ahead." I stepped out of the way and let him walk up to the coffin. His hand that was shaking due to the nervousness rushing through his body, slowly made its way up to the coffin and carefully opened it to find a skeleton jump out of it.
"AHHH! Jag officiellt flippa hat hemsökta hus..." Dmytro exclaimed in Swedish, which he usually did when he was really frightened or he was in a negative mood. "Y/N, when can we get out of here?"
As he turned around, he realized that I was gone.
"Y/N?" Dmytro called my name out and still no reply. I didn't tell Dmytro this, but I was actually good friends with the people who were in charge of the haunted house; aka Connor Brown and Brendan Leipsic. They wanted me to bring Dmytro in this year for some sort of initiation or whatever.
Dmytro continued to walk across the room until he saw my body covered in red stuff, which was really just fake blood.
"Oh..." Dmytro started to choke up, "please tell me it's not true." He then swiped his finger around the puddle of blood and examined it for a second. "Wait a minute," he looked at it more thoroughly, "this is just fake blood. Y/N, you can wake up now."
"Aww," I woke up and looked into his mesmerizing and captivating green eyes. "That didn't work?"
"No..." Was all his reply before two people lurked behind him and yelled. "Please stop with this! If I yell one more time, I swear, I may be close to a heart attack..."
"Dima, relax for a second," Connor and Brendan spoke up before removing their scary masks. "It's just us, Brownie and Leipy..."

Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.

Jacob, an avid Minecraft player in his free time, touched that damn mirror that looked so much like an End portal. And portalled away he was, because the next thing he knew, blue boxes were everywhere he looked. He could craft items, he could roam around. He could enjoy life! With his extensive knowledge of the game, of the mods, of the playstyle... He knew that he would thrive here, in a world so similar to the virtual one where he had spent so many hours of his life.

Alright, so I'm using this as a whetstone to practice my fiction writing. I have dyslexia, so bear with me if I have any mistakes, if you point them out I'll try and correct them. The story is LitRPG, I'll try and avoid some of the tropes, see FAQ. What happens is that the world turns out to be a simulation coming to an end, and beginning on its new simulation, in this process the system of the universe declares that the new simulation will be rpg-based. The protagonist however is thrust into an empty space before the simulation comes to an end, he escapes and finds that the world as he knew it is gone.Chapters will come sporadically as I'm quite busy IRL. FAQ1: There will be no Harem. 2: If any sexual content, it will be be below the screen, example sentence [they made love - or - they had sex]3: I'll try to keep character motivations steady instead of having characters who says and does one thing in one chapter, only to change their mind in the next one. 3: Villains or "bad guys" won't be charicatures. Of course, as in real life, you can meet these people, but as far as big bads or antagonists goes, they will have some modicum of intelligence. 4: The MC does not have an encyclopedia of random knowledge. 5: OP'ness won't happen overnight, and it is something that I'm wary of in terms of adding it, of course eventually the MC will grow more powerful, but there won't be any cheats, except hard work; and the luck factor will be more or less similar to the rest of the population. 6: He won't be opposing the universe, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant7: he won't become friends with god/the ghost in the shell etc, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant, and an ancient simulation ai has no interest anyway, why would it ? Okay that's that for now.
8 79The Spark
Michael Locke was a normal student, who went through his normal day in a normal fashion, until the day became... unnatural. Shot into the country of Aldemar and thrust into a new world alongside his many classmates, he agrees to work for the king in exchange for shelter and to learn magic. Fate however, is indifferent to his wishes, as he quickly realizes that he may be a hero, but his purpose in this world is quite opposite. Suddenly surrounded on every side, Michael must work to survive, and if anyone finds his secret... He's as good as dead. The Spark is meant to be a murder mystery style isekai, focused on the existence of basically an anti-hero, with every one of the large amount of heroes attempting to discover who the traitor is. This isn't made to be a lovey dovey easy going isekai with an OP mc, it's made to stir around an emotional story, with many dark tones. Still, the goal is to stay fairly light hearted as well, and the perspective will pass around to several characters throughout the story.
