"Dylan, what are you doing?" My hand laid on top of his much larger hand, grasping it tight to grab his attention. His brown eyes flickered from where he was looking back to my eyes.
"I-I'm sorry, Y/N. But, I got distracted because I think I just saw my ex..." Dylan took the menu and brought it up to his face so that she wasn't looking at him.
"Dylan William Strome," My body rumbled due to the low chuckle sounds coming out of my mouth. "Don't worry about it. Just try and ease your mind, honey."
"I'll try..." He nervously gulped before setting the menu down on the table. Carefully grabbing my hand, he brought it near his lips and gently kissed them. "Thank you so much, Y/N."
"Well, I'm helping you because I love you, Dylan." I giggled like I had a throwback to middle school. "Now, let's just focus on the dinner. And, whatever you do, don't look behind you..."
"She's sitting behind me, isn't she?" He leaned across the table and whispered into my ear. Nodding my head, I leaned across the table, careful not to mess up the dress, and whispered back in his ear. "And, she's also here with a date."
"Well," he grabbed both of my hands in his and gently held them, "I've got the most beautiful girl sitting in front of me."
"Let me guess," My arms were crossed across my chest as I smirked at him. "You got that pick-up line from Ryan?"
"That's the last time that I ever go to him for pick-up line advice." He grumbled under his breath and I shook my head playfully. "I was just being sarcastic, Dyl."
"Are you guys ready to order for the night?" I heard a waiter speak up. Looking up at them, I politely told them my order and waited while Dylan told the waiter what he wanted to order for the night.

"Dylan, I insist that I pay for the dinner. You put that credit card away!" I held the credit card in my hand, tightly gripping it. "You paid on our last date...It's my turn to pay."
"But, Y/N," he held his credit card in his hand and laid it next to the bill, "I wanted to treat you...Especially after the game last night."
"But, nothing, Dylan." I smirked and gave him back his credit card. "I'm paying for the dinner and that's final." Inserting the card into the slot next to the bill, I handed over the bill to the waiter who was waiting for the past 5 minutes while Dylan and I were 'arguing' over who got to pay for the dinner. The waiter came back with the customer copy of the receipt and my credit card safely inside the folder.
"I'm so excited to go back to our place," he tugged at his silk tie, "I'm getting hot with this thing suffocating me."
"Oh, you wear suit and ties to the games..." I rolled my eyes at him and got up on my tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek. He had the total height advantage with him being six-feet three inches and I was only _feet and _inches.
We were surrounded by peace and quiet before we heard the table in front of us getting ready to go, but instead, they walked over to our table.
"It's very nice to see you again, Dylan!" He froze as soon as he heard his ex's voice. Not making eye-contact with her, he continued to focus on me.
"And, you must be Dylan's ex! It's very nice to meet you, I'm Y/N." I smiled politely at her and yet, she didn't acknowledge my introduction.

"Can I help you with something?" He asked exasperatedly, obviously wanting to go back to the apartment and just sleep since he had a game the next day.
"Nothing at all, I just wanted to say hi. And, introduce you to my boyfriend, James. James, this is my ex, Dylan, and his girlfriend..?"
"She already told you her name. It's Y/N." Dylan clenched his jaw and his hand curled up into a fist to show his annoyment. "Sorry, I got to go..." And just like that, he got up from his seat and left the restaurant. Putting my credit card away in my wallet, I got up from my seat and went after Dylan.
---
"Dylan!" I yelled his name as soon as I caught up to him in the parking lot. He turned around to face me and sighed in relief. "There you are! Where did you go?"
"I just needed to get out of there, Y/N." He walked over to where I stood and just held me in his arms. "Just in case I haven't already told you today, I. Love. You. I'm in love with you and only you, Y/N L/N."
Just as he confessed his words out to me, I felt rain drops coming down on my face. Pretty soon, it started to rain and I looked up at Dylan, his sparkling brown eyes looking into my E/C eyes.
"Mind if we had a little 'Notebook' moment, Ms. L/N?" He smirked down at me before he lifted me up and my legs were wrapped around his waist.
"Not at all, Mr. Strome." I laughed and shook my head before leaning in to kiss him on the lips. After a few minutes, we pulled away and caught our breaths.
"I love you so much, Y/N L/N."
"And I love you too, Dylan Strome."
